We can’t express enough how amazing our trip to Spain was, thanks to Sarah Gemba with Spain Savvy! From my very first contact with Sarah, I knew we were in great hands. Having never traveled to Spain before, I wanted a special mother–daughter trip for me and my 30-year-old daughter — and wow, did Sarah deliver! From the moment we stepped off the plane in Barcelona, every detail of our itinerary unfolded seamlessly. Sarah’s planning was flawless, and her guides were absolutely fantastic — knowledgeable, friendly, and so much fun to be around. It truly felt like we were spending time with old friends who also happened to be experts in their fields. Our hotels were all clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for walking to the best sights, restaurants, and shops. Sarah knows the best places to stay and booked everything for us, so all we had to do was show up — wherever the app or the pre arranged private drivers took us to go! She even arranged our train rides to Toledo and from Sevilla to Madrid, which went off without a hitch. It’s such a luxury to have someone plan every detail so we can simply show up and enjoy. We wanted a mix of food, culture, history, and nature, and Sarah crafted the perfect balance of all of it. Our paella cooking class in Sevilla was a highlight — and such a treat when Sarah came to meet us in person! She also knew exactly where to send us for an unforgettable Flamenco show, complete with front-row seats. I came home with a deeper understanding of Spain’s rich, complex history and an even greater appreciation for its culture. We can’t wait to return and have Sarah plan our next adventure in Spain!

We just returned from a wonderful three week trip to Andalusia and Barcelona. Sarah and Spain Savvy were great and very easy to work with. We started with a general idea of what we wanted to do and Sarah fleshed it out for us beautifully. She listened to us carefully and helped us create the trip of a lifetime, guiding us to amazing experiences, lovely hotels, and perfect places to sample local cuisine in each location. Stellar Iberian vacation Just back from a 3 week trip to Spain and Portugal which was impeccably planned and executed by Sarah at Spain Savvy. Everything was outstanding beginning with her thorough explanation of how the process would work down to every detail of the itinerary. The accommodations were perfectly appointed and in great locations. Excursions and restaurant recommendations were terrific. When our next adventure is planned for this part of the world we will definitely come back to Spain Savvy!

Our family of five, including three teenagers, spent 12 unforgettable nights exploring Spain, and we owe the success of our trip to the exceptional planning and guidance provided by Sarah at Spain Savvy. From the very beginning, Sarah took the time to understand how we like to travel and crafted a customized itinerary that perfectly suited our pace, preferences, and desire to see as much as possible. The itinerary struck a thoughtful balance between privately guided tours, small group experiences, and time to explore independently. Sarah’s recommendations were spot-on in every aspect—timing, sightseeing, dining, activities, and even a memorable flamenco show. Her local knowledge and attention to detail truly elevated our experience. We visited Barcelona, Granada, Seville, and Madrid, with enriching day trips to Girona, Costa Brava, Toledo, Segovia, and Córdoba. It was an ambitious plan, but Sarah seamlessly coordinated it all. We never felt rushed, yet we managed to see and do everything on our list. The local guides Sarah arranged were all excellent—fluent in English, deeply knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing Spanish culture and history. Sarah organized an incredible trip for our family to Seville and Barcelona this Spring. She was able to cater to our diverse interests including art and history for Mom and Dad, sports for our 10 year old, and parks and playgrounds for our toddler. All of our tours/guides were accommodating and fun for the whole family. Sarah was easy to reach during our trip and so helpful in adjusting plans as needed. I loved meeting Sarah in person during the photo session she arranged for us. We highly recommend Spain Savvy and will definitely use Sarah's services again the next time we travel to the area.

I can not say enough great things about Sarah and the Spain Savvy team. When I was booking my trip, I knew I did not have the time to put into creating an itinerary for our 10 day trip to Spain. I had reached out to several travel agencies and met with them virtually to discuss. Sarah came up on top from the first time I spoke to her. You can tell she loves what she does and she really wants to create the perfect trip for her clients…. And she did not fail to deliver. She is extremely organized and detailed oriented and the app the company uses to keep track of everything from vouchers to restaurant reservations could not be easier to navigate and adapt. When we had to make a last minute change, a simple text to Sarah and our itinerary was adjusted and refunds luckily granted. She asks great questions and will put together an appropriately priced itinerary according to your budget. Every single tour, show and restaurant was amazing and evenly reasonably priced. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and passionate as you could tell they are so proud of their culture. We had amazing cooking classes and food tours that made me want to move there. There was enough free down time to recharge , shop and enjoy the sights at our own pace as well. She even recommends self-guided tours and provides the history so you have information for sights that are not with a tour guide. I truly loved working with Sarah… just wish her business extended past Spain and Portugal. If you thinking of planning a trip to the Spain or Portugal don’t hesitate to give Spain Savvy a call… you won’t regret it.

I can’t say enough about the fantastic time we had on our trip, and it was all due to Sarah and her knowledge of the country and attention to detail. From the very beginning of the planning stages until the conclusion of our trip, Sarah was there to guide us, make all the reservations and even took the time to personally meet us in her home city. She ensured that the itinerary was exactly what we imagined for our travel experience and it was so much better than we could have planned on our own. The mobile app she utilizes is a travel game-changer. She stored all our information in the mobile app, so our itinerary, reservations, etc was always a click away. I can’t imagine traveling without this tool in the future. The private tour guides she uses were extremely knowledgeable and experts in their cities, culture and history. Don’t go to Spain or Portugal without her!

All of the guides were great and they were able to give us a taste of Spain that we would never have experienced on our own. The highlight of the trip was visiting the city of Seville with Its rich history and interesting culture. It’s clear why you have chosen it as your home. My wife and I worked with Sarah and Spain Savvy to plan a recent 2-week vacation in Spain. Sarah listened to our initial list of priorities and interests and designed an itinerary that was spot on. She arranged for us to meet with extremely personable and knowledgeable guides at each location and reserved tables at the best restaurants. I don't see how our visit to Portugal and Spain could have been any better. After an initial Q&A with Sarah, our Spain Savvy travel planner, she was able to plan an activity filled trip with multiple locations that was stress free and relaxing. Top it off with perfect company, weather, food, points of interest, tour guides, and just the people and the cities themselves, it all combined to form a perfect memory. Not sure I'd recommend Fado, if you don't know the language, but it even that was a unique experience. One of the things Spain Savvy provided that I really liked was a Trip Plan App in which Sarah provided all the necessary documents and a day-by-day itinerary of not only planned events, but other options should we decide to replace or add one. The itinerary includes a brief description of the restaurants, point of interests and a website and map links for each location which made it simple to navigate. Thanks Sarah!

I can't recommend Spain Savvy enough! I am usually the travel planner for our family, but I didn't have bandwidth to handle the multi-week coordination for our family Spain trip, so we enlisted the help of Spain Savvy, and Sarah came to our rescue! From the initial consult, to the first trip proposal, to revisions, to leading up to the trip, and during the trip, Sarah was detailed, responsive, caring, and supportive to ensure the trip was smooth and matched our goals/wishes as much as possible. We also had multiple family members join our trip at different times, and Sarah was able to navigate all the changes and logistics to support everyone. We ended up having a wonderful time with our two young children and our parents, thanks to Sarah's coordination, recommendations, and support. Even if you're a seasoned traveler, I recommend Spain Savvy to do the heavy lifting with coordination and recommendations so you can focus on getting ready, getting excited, and enjoying the trip, as it's their specialty! We definitely will work with Spain Savvy again for future trips!
