I can't say enough of the experience I had with this company. My husband of 48 years passed away in March. I did not know what to expect. This whole process was taken care of so quickly. I did it all completely online. Kay Waites is the funeral director who took such great care of me and my husband. The way she treated me was like I had chosen the most expensive package they had. She was so accommodating. I am so very grateful to her and her tenderhearted manner in which she handles everyone. In 2012 my husband and I bought our cremation plans with Sound Choice and from the first call regarding my husbands passing in March of 2026 to my last contact with having some of my husbands ashes put in a locket the experience could not have been any more pleasant than it was. This March my husband died, I had chosen Sound Choice Cremations for both of us. Kay Waites the Manager in Sarasota, Fl could not have been any kinder, more helpful or compassionate . When I picked up Roy's ashes I told her...Cremations are inexpensive compared to the traditional funerals and I must tell you Kay, You have treated me as if I had bought the most expensive funeral available, Kay responds, Thanks Joyce, that's the way it should be! The staff were very compassionate and sympathetic. When I went to retrieve the ashes I had an unexpected break down and was given warm hugs. The process was easy enough, affordable, with many options available. a slight misunderstanding of timelines once the cremation took place, but that may have been my fault. They even went back and check for a missing watch for me. Yes I would use them again.
Although no one really wants to have this experience as it is a sensitive time in anyone’s life, the experience was nonetheless exceptional. From the moment I called and spoke with Amanda, to inquire about services, I was sure I had made the right choice. She was kind, considerate, professional, and efficient. Throughout the process, she kept me informed and always did so with a very compassionate tone, and when I met her in person these qualities were even more evident. I feel that anyone tapping into the service would get the same interaction with Amanda and her colleagues at Sound Choice.
