Best guide in North Sumatra. I climbed Mount Sibayak for sunrise with a friend and Nusa was our guide. I chose him because I had read good reviews and I made the right choice, the trekk with him didn't dissapoint and was even better than expected. He is a very polite and caring man and shares interesting information about Indonesian and Batak culture, about mountains and volcanos, nature, plants and much more! He helped us at all times and had always a big smile for us. He even spent more time after the trekk to help us get the public bus back to Medan, and we are so grateful for this aswell. As for the trekk, it is absolutely worth it. The sunrise, the volcano, the sulphur, the mist, the views, the forest, the hot springs we went to, etc. were really really worth it. We made the best decision choosing him as a guide. At that moment we found out he also is a guide for Toba Lake and other places, and if we had known this in advance, we had definitely booked it also with him. We had a lovely time with you, Nusa, and hope to see you again someday!!! Thank you!!

It’s my first mount on Sumatera island. We start at 3am and arrived Sunrise point at about 5am++. Our Guide is so helpful. He help us to get good spot to rest among many hikers at top. Also provide warm drinks, photos. Many history and myth stories had been told for us. And suprisingly, he is so expert in many plants. We have great hiking experience with him.

It was a great hike with Nusan and Gabrielle! They were very professional, very passionate and knowledgeable! Nusan knew the terrain very well and even cooked us personalized cup noodle and coffee at the top of Mt Sibayak! (And even took fantastic photos with his DSLR!) He also speaks good English and it was very enjoyable with him as our guide through the hike! Gabrielle kept us very safe throughout the drive - super stable and confident driver! 100000% recommend this tour to everyone! Nusan and Gabrielle are amazing! The Guide, Nusan was very knowledgeable and passionate on Indonesia many beautiful parks. From mountains, waterfalls, rocks and jungle treks. He was very present and enthusiastic throughout the tour, making the whole trip very enjoyable. He was also an easy going person, eager and quick to learn about cultures around the world. He was also on time and flexible with the itinerary and he knows where are the nearest spots to relieve ourselves and finding the cleanest toilet nearby. He is also a skilled photographer who knows which spots to take better shots and was patient to guide us. He made sure that felt comfortable and match our pace during the hike Our driver, Gabriel was also a very easy going and pleasant person. He drove really well in all the terrain that we had to drive through. We felt safe and comfortable throughout. He and Nusan made sure that we were kept updated the night before our trip and was early on the pick up time. We enjoyed our trip through and through and are looking forward to possible future trips with them!

From start to finish, his knowledge, enthusiasm, and attention to safety made the trip enjoyable and stress-free. The trail was breathtaking, and Nusan shared fascinating insights about the local flora, fauna, and history along the way. At the beginning of January we spent one of the best weeks of our lives on Sumatra. Our guide Nusar made it all possible. He organized the whole week for us including hotels etc. - 2 days of jungle trekking, a sunrise hike up the volcano and then a few days on Samosir Island. During this time Nusar accompanied us the whole time, including a driver, and we grew very fond of both of them. We had a lot of fun and incredible experiences and left Sumatra after a week with so many new impressions. Thanks for everything it was amazing!! We can highly recommend Nusar and Sumatra! You will love it! :) Wir haben Anfang Jänner eine unserer besten Wochen unseres Lebens auf Sumatra verbracht. Das Ganze hat uns Nusar unser Guide ermöglicht. Wir haben die gesamte Woche von ihm organisieren lassen - 2 Tage Dschungel Trekking,eine Sonnenaufgangswanderung auf den Vulkan und anschließend noch ein paar Tage auf Samosir. Während dieser Zeit hat uns Nusar immer begleitet inkl. einem Fahrer, beide haben wir in dieser Zeit sehr in unser Herz geschlossen. Wir hatten viel Spaß unglaubliche Erlebnisse und haben Sumatra nach einer Woche mit so vielen neuen Eindrücken verlassen.

I'm not a very outdoorsy person - when I traveled, I usually stick to the cities, and if there's any nature involved, it would be an easy one. When my friend asked me to join her in this trip, I was a little bit anxious because I didn't know what to expect. It turned out that it had been a head turning, life changing, experience. Starting from the 4-6 hours trekking in the jungle, where we were lucky and met a lot a lot of orang utans, all kinds of birds and primates, and clear waterfalls where we can bathed. We stargazed at night at the riverside in the middle of the jungle. Moving to Berastagi, where we hiked to Mt Sibayak (my first mountain ever!). The trek is beginner level, and the view is amazing! The last few days were in Toba, which was one of the biggest and deepest lake in the world. Toba is breathtaking. The days were bright so we can see the lake turning blue and white, reflecting the sky. Other plus points from the tour: 1. Good itinerary. If you want to see elephant, ask the guide to add another day for Tangkahan. I did the 7D6N tour. 2. The hotels are nice. 3. The guide is super friendly (ask for Nusan, and ask him for local ghost stories).

Really lucky to find Nusan as our guide for the whole trip. He helps us to arrange the whole trip from Parapat and drop off at Medan, everything is perfect. Nusan will be the guide to Mt Sibayak as well. Along the route, he shares the stories about Mt Sibayak, as well as other mountain in Sumatra region. Will definitely come back and join Nusan for Mt Kerinci hike 😉

Really lucky to have found Nusa as our guide. We went for the sunrise hike up Mt Sibayak and followed by by a relaxing soak in the natural hot spring. The trip ended with a visit to the majestic Sipiso piso waterfall. Nusa is really knowledgeable and shared many things with us along the journey. He really go the extra mile and his service is undeniably great. Highty recommend him!!!
