Just want to say thank you Soltara. I came to this retreat burnt out, stressed, dejected, and extremely Dysregulated. I had researched this retreat for a while and came as a solo traveler. My mind was blown by this experience from the amazing facilitators to accommodations. I have never felt so at peace and capable of “letting go” / detachment. Thank you again and I intend on returning before I ever become that way again. To anyone considering, you can go so much deeper into suffering in such an amazing place.

Truly magic. There is no other place that I could have had my first experience with medicine. Everything about Soltara is perfect. The facilitation team is highly skilled, compassionate, and intellectual. The land and space make you feel safe and ready to dive deep in discovery of yourself. I cannot imagine going back anywhere else and I will return to Soltara as soon as I can. It has profoundly changed the way I view myself, plants, and the world. I am forever grateful for Soltara and it will be a part of my life for as long as I’m lucky enough to experience it. Thank you to the team

This retreat has exceeded all of my expectations: I have not only found my truth but also feel blessed to have met so many wonderful people - bonded for life. And the work that the Shipibo Maestros are doing during the Ceremonies is incredible, so is the commitment, care and compassion of the facilitators. If you feel „the call“, don‘t hesitate! Best decision ever!

I had a truly beautiful experience at Soltara. It feels like the luxury version of the traditional Shipibo medicine work I love in Peru — while still honoring the depth, integrity, and seriousness of the process. The grounds are stunning, the facilities are thoughtful and comfortable, and the location by the beach adds a really grounding, healing element to the experience. The entire program is incredibly well designed and intentional — you can feel how much care has gone into every detail. What really sets Soltara apart is the staff. They are absolute angels — compassionate, present, and supportive around the clock. It’s a well-oiled machine in the best way, which allows you to fully surrender and focus on your healing without worrying about logistics or safety. There is so much healing offered here in so many different ways, and it’s done with professionalism, heart, and respect for the medicine. I would highly recommend Soltara to anyone seeking a safe, thoughtful, and powerful ayahuasca experience.

True Mystical Experience. One week after i wanted to return back. Totally recommend it if you want to experience the healing of Ayahuasca. From the Maestras (Carina e Silvia), to the facilitators (Gemma, Isabelle, Matthew David, Robert), to chef Laura (delicious food), to Yoga teachers, to staff who prepared the food and clean the rooms, to Domingo, all professional and truly caring people. At the end is like we are all a big family. It was my first exprience with Ayahuasca retreat and i'm glad i choose Soltara, i'm sure i'll repeat it again in the future. Magic week, full of Peace and Love that it will always stay in my heart.

Words truly cannot describe this experience, but it feels important to try. Soltera Healing Center is a place I would wholeheartedly recommend, especially for first timers. The environment felt safe, intentional, and deeply supportive from the moment I arrived. What stood out most was the sense of community. The group was a beautiful mix of people, some new to the work and many with experience, and by the end we truly felt like a family. The shared conversations, vulnerability, laughter, and reflection created bonds that felt genuine and lasting. The facilitators were exceptional. Viviana, in particular, made me feel completely comfortable asking questions and being exactly where I was in my process. That level of care and presence makes all the difference in an experience like this. The location is stunning. Waking up to the sound of howler monkeys, surrounded by lush flowers, nature, and the beach was something I will never forget. And the food deserves its own mention. It was absolutely incredible. Nourishing, intentional, and genuinely delicious. I was blown away by every meal. This experience filled me with joy, gratitude, and a deep sense of connection. From the setting, to the people, to the care woven into every detail, everything was truly amazing. I feel incredibly grateful to have experienced Soltera and I will absolutely be back.

It’s been 4 months since I’ve been at Soltara Playa Blanca and I feel like I’m on a completely improved trajectory physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally. The facilitators are some of the most caring, patient, and open people you will ever meet and go out of their way to help you make sense of it all. The maestros are also so masterful at what they do. I wouldn’t do it any other way. Sacred space. Beautiful grounds. Transformational experience.

I just completed two retreats at Soltara in the past three weeks, and I’m so incredibly grateful for the experience. From start to finish, Soltara creates an environment of safety, care, and inclusiveness. Every detail is thoughtfully considered so you feel completely supported. Most of all, the facilitation team is extraordinary. They are some of the most genuine, caring, and beautiful humans I’ve ever been around. They show up with deep heart, humility, and presence, while being incredibly prepared and capable guides. You feel seen, heard and supported every step of the way. Also, The food is exceptional. Truly world class. Jesse, the chef, is incredible, and the meals provided adds so much to the overall experience. This was a 10/10 experience for me in every sense. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to sit with this team at this location. Soltara is truly something special and would highly recommend.

This journey has been the most profound and beautiful experience of my life. Soltara’s container felt safe, caring, loving, and deeply held. Everything is structured with clear intention so that you can fully focus on your own process, and I truly appreciated that. The entire space is spotless and the energy feels vibrant from the moment you arrive. The food was incredible, fresh, and genuinely nourishing, and it supported the experience in such a thoughtful way. Kudos to Jesse, Massiel, and the entire kitchen staff. The facilitators and staff show up with so much presence, compassion, and care. Thank you again Viviana, Giulia, Christina, Sasha, and Tatiana for making me feel supported, understood, and genuinely held, Love your energy! The maestros were incredible. Maestro Francisco and Maestra Maricela, Irake! 🙏🏻 The Shipibo tradition is something truly unique, and there is nothing else like it. I connected to the maestros and the Icaros (healing songs) in ways I cannot explain, and I highly recommend the spiritual, personalized, and deeply energetic experience that comes through this lineage. I am extremely grateful to Soltara, their entire staff, our group, for this incredible experience. It has changed me, and I know it will continue to change me in meaningful ways. I know I will be back soon, and I would 100% recommend Soltara to anyone seeking true transformation in the most beautifully held environment. 💚💚💚💚

It is hard to know where to start. My week with Soltara at Goddess Falls was one of the most profound and beautiful experiences of my life. Working with aya and the maestras is the energetic work of ancient wisdom and collective healing and I felt cradled in the love and abundance of Pachamama during my journey. Words cannot convey the power and dedicated of the Shiphibo healers and the knowlege they bring to this experience. From the moment I stepped foot on the grounds of the Holos property- a regenerative community-based farm and sanctuary for those awakening to a different way of being- I knew that I was in for something special. The grounds and accommodations are absolutely stunning and so much care has been taken to ensure the comfort, health, and safety of the guests. The architecture on the property inspires a sense of awe and connection to the land. The trails through jungle to nearby creeks, natural pools, and the farm are all lovely for daily strolls through the mountain air. The facilitator team were the kindest humans and were so professional, yet tender, warm, and genuine. We spent hours in "sharemony" sessions during the day, and they opened and held such an inclusive space for the group to be vulnerable, to learn, and to connect. In word and deed, they set the tone for an extremely productive week of learning, healing, growing, and loving. They were never rushed and all had extensive experience and insights into the plant medicine and somatic work. During ceremony, they were ever supportive, yet light and gentle. They understand the space of plant medicine so thoroughly, and were able to compliment the work of the maestras while addressing any needs of the group as they arose. They maintained a safe container and helped the group navigate the journey of the medicina. I felt supported, held, and open throughout my time at Soltara, thanks in large part to the facilitator team. The food we were served all week was fresh, light, healthy, and delicious! The yoga sessions, sound baths, and visits to waterfalls on the property were all welcome additions to a wellness rooted in a whole body, mind, and soul approach. We were encouraged to rest, restore, be gentle and curious as we became reacquainted with our bodies with the plant medicine at work.

Jessica, thank you for sharing this so thoughtfully. We’re deeply grateful for your trust and for the presence you brought into the space.

It means a great deal to hear how supported you felt by the Shipibo Maestras, the facilitator team, the land at Goddess Falls, and the rhythm of the week itself. That sense of being held by people, place, and process is exactly what we work to cultivate.

We’ll be sure to share your words with our facilitators, Maestras, and the wider team at Holos. We’re honored to have walked alongside you in this chapter, and we are here to support you as you integrate your journey.

In grateful service,
The Soltara Team 🌿

It’s taken me awhile to write this because I don’t have words strong enough for this experience and Soltara’s facilitation of the process. The experience was literally everything I could’ve imagined and all that I didn’t. And Soltara doesn’t miss a single thing. The facilities are clean and welcoming. The food is a love ceremony, all in itself. The care that goes into preparation and integration afterwards makes a huge difference in how you feel coming in and coming out. They have everything figured out. I can’t imagine ever going anywhere else after this experience with Soltara. Christina, Tatiana, Viviana, Sasha, Jesse- everyone was MAGICAL. This work is medicine, I did 10 years worth of work and healing and progress in 10 days at Soltara. I’m different, and that’s what I went for, and the team at Soltara made sure that happened for me in a safe, loving, healthy space. The Maestro and Maestra, Francisco and Marisela, were exactly what I needed for this journey. I’m in heaven and this team of angels facilitated every single moment of it.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly and beautifully. We know how much care it can take to put an experience like this into words, and we don’t take that lightly.

It means a great deal to hear that the preparation, the care during the retreat, and the integration support afterward all landed in a way that helped you feel safe, supported, and truly met. Our facilitators, kitchen team, and Shipibo Maestros work with deep intention and responsibility, and we’ll be sure to pass along your appreciation to everyone you named.

We’re grateful you chose to do this work with us, and we trust that what you touched here will continue to support you as it settles into daily life. We're here to support you as your integration continues!

The retreat at the Goddess Falls location was out of this world. I arrived on a rainy day. The gate opens and just like that, there was a cloud right on the ground in front of us. I thought I was entering heavan. Later I learned the area is referred to as Cloud Forest. Breathtaking.

That first entrance through the clouds gets us every time, too. We love that the land at Goddess Falls greeted you so memorably. Thank you for being here and for sharing this sweet moment. ⛅⛰️

Wishing you blessings on your journey!

I strongly recommend doing ketamine treatment in the U.S. with licensed therapists, nurses, and anesthesiologists—not abroad at facilities run by untrained or inappropriate facilitators masquerading as therapists or shamans. If you're looking for a cultural or spiritual experience, visit the Amazon. But if you're seeking trauma healing, prioritize medical safety and psychological professionalism. I came to Soltara for healing from child abuse, child sex trafficking, and gang rape, but instead I was retraumatized after being targeted by one of the facilitators because of my disabilities. I spoke loudly during group events due to my hearing loss, and when it was my turn to talk, I expressed myself with energy—something typical for someone with ADHD. Instead of simply asking me to lower my voice, the facilitator (a white American woman with no clinical credentials) framed this as a spiritual failing. She told me she could “read energies” and that my energy was “pushing people away”—implying I was inconsiderate and unlikable. She dismissed my ADHD diagnosis and claimed my behavior was caused by trauma—again, without any qualifications to make such an assessment. At one point, she even mentioned other retreat participants' molestation experiences inappropriately. All of this was unprompted and wildly out of bounds. When I reported her behavior to the team, she deflected blame by saying other attendees had come to her to ask how to “deal with” me. Whether or not that’s true, she never attempted a respectful or straightforward conversation—just escalation and monitoring. I felt discriminated against and uncomfortable enough that I left after just two of the seven nights. I was still charged for the remainder of my stay and received only a partial refund. Soltara’s many positive reviews don't negate what happened to me. That’s how discrimination works—it doesn’t happen to everyone, but it matters deeply when it does. If you are neurodivergent or disabled, please be careful.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience at Soltara did not meet your expectations. Your feedback is taken seriously, and we’re committed to continually learning how we can better support each person on their healing journey.

At Soltara, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all guests, including those who are neurodivergent or navigating complex trauma histories. We work in an integrative care model, with Indigenous Shipibo healers and experienced, trauma-informed facilitators, and while not all members of our team hold clinical licenses, all receive extensive training in psychological safety, group facilitation, and plant medicine integration. We also collaborate with licensed psychotherapists to ensure support is available before, during, and after the retreat.

A core part of our retreat model includes holding what we call the group container - a supportive ceremonial and communal space that depends on a sense of mutual respect, trust, and presence among participants. Balancing the needs of each individual's unique healing journey with the integrity and safety of the group as a whole is a delicate and ongoing responsibility we hold with great care. This includes honoring agreements that all guests make prior to arrival as part of maintaining that container for everyone.

When agreements are not met or when the needs of the group need to be balanced with the needs of an individual's healing process, our first step is to address concerns gently and respectfully that are raised by other guests around the shared group space, and to invite reflection in a non-judgmental way. We offer support with the understanding that continued participation honors the group agreements. If a guest ultimately chooses to leave the retreat early, we fully respect their decision. In this case, while our terms and retreat agreements do state that guests who voluntarily withdraw from the retreat are not eligible for full refunds, in acknowledgment of your experience and early departure, we offered a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill and care.

We recognize that no healing path is one-size-fits-all. We strive to create a safe, inclusive ceremonial space that honors personal processes while also holding the integrity of the group container. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We welcome open communication around individual needs prior to the retreat, and we remain committed to learning, growing, and evolving how we hold space for all who come to us.

My time at Soltara Ayahuasca Retreat was truly life-changing — a once-in-a-lifetime experience… until I go back. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The facilitators, staff, and healers created an atmosphere of safety, comfort, and reassurance that allowed me to fully surrender to the process. The accommodations were beautiful, the food was nourishing and delicious, and every detail felt intentional and heart-centered. The medicine itself was an unexplainable experience — deeply transformative in ways words can’t quite capture. I left Soltara with a renewed sense of clarity, healing, and purpose. The connections I made there have become lifelong friendships, and the positive changes have been evident not only to me but to everyone around me since returning home. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience — I’m already looking forward to going back.

I had an incredible experience at Soltara Healing Center in Costa Rica! The accommodations were impeccable, offering a serene and comfortable space that made it easy to fully relax and unwind. The food was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of high-quality options to suit every taste. I felt completely safe throughout my stay—from the retreat space itself to interactions with wildlife—which was especially important to me as a mom. The facilitators and shamans were truly exceptional—Sasha, Matthew, Erin, Vivi, Tati- and the 2 shamans guided the retreat with profound compassion, authenticity, and care. I couldn’t have imagined a more supportive and nurturing team. Transportation to and from the retreat was seamless and safe, allowing me to focus fully on the experience. Most importantly, I met lifelong friends among the other attendees, which made the retreat even more meaningful. Soltara is a safe, transformative, and heart-opening experience—I can’t recommend it enough. I can't WAIT to go back again one day!

My time at Soltara was likely the most beautiful experience I’ve ever had, both spiritually and physically. On top of being in a breathtaking, lush location at Goddess Falls, the expertise and thoughtfulness of all of the facilitators made me feel so cared for and safe. I would highly, highly recommend embarking on your plant medicine journey with them.

This place makes healing with Ayahuasca in the Shipibo tradition accessible for those of us who don’t want to venture deep into the rainforest and prefer a bit more comfort — like rooms with air conditioning. The ceremonies with the plant medicine, the Shipibo healers, and their Ikaros songs are an incredible experience. Everything is guided by wonderful facilitators who are always there to support you, even through the most challenging moments. They make the entire experience feel very safe. It’s hard to put into words, but I found the answers I was seeking and felt deeply relieved and joyful when I left. The food also deserves a special mention — it’s all locally sourced and among the best I’ve ever had. I would come back just for that!

My time at Soltara Healing Center in Playa Blanca was nothing short of life-changing. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for in a way that immediately put me at ease. The staff and facilitators (Bonnie, Nicholas and Frida) aren’t just professional, they’re incredibly genuine, compassionate, and present. You can feel that they truly want the best for everyone who comes through the doors. The setting is absolutely stunning. Being surrounded by nature, hearing the sounds of the jungle, and looking out over the water created such a peaceful atmosphere. The food was delicious and nourishing, and the accommodations were comfortable, which made it easy to focus fully on the healing process. The ceremonies themselves were powerful and deeply moving, I did struggle to connect in a few and the team certainly helped me through that. The Shipibo healers carried such wisdom and authenticity, and the facilitators made me feel safe and supported every step of the way. I never once felt alone in the process, I knew I was in good hands. The integration circles were just as important as the ceremonies, giving me space to reflect, share, and make sense of everything that came up. I left Soltara with a sense of healing, and connection that I’ve been searching for years. Beyond the experiences during the retreat, I now have tools and practices to carry forward into my daily life. If you’re considering going to Soltara, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s a place of real healing, love, and transformation, and I’m so grateful I chose to take this journey there.

The facilitator were absolutely beautiful souls. There every step of the way with open hearts. The food was delicious, my body truly feels rejuvenated by it. As for the location. I chose Goddess Falls as I wanted to be in the jungle closer to nature as I undertook this journey, and more minimalistic surrounding much allowed to me to better access my thoughts and feelings without distraction. And it definitely gave me that and more. Would for sure return in the future.
