When the sod arrived, it looks like already pass more than 24 hours. Now it's sodded about 2 weeks, still not rooted into ground, while what I got from Home Depot grows much better than this.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and photos. From what we see, the soil looks moist and the grass is very green, which is a great sign. This is normal for sod installed in late November or early December. The white at the base of the plant is also normal when peeled back or split open.

Quality local sod. Knowledgeable staff and very helpful. The sod was beautiful and established itself very quickly for this time of year. I could not be happier and I will be using SodLawn again.

Want a refund after a no show
This company scheduled a day for a purchase of over 250 sq ft of sod, called and confirmed through text, and email. On the day I cleared and called off work they gave me a window from 12 - 6 (thats the whole day waiting for something), and they didnt answer, they didnt text, they didnt call, and didnt show up... I went back to verify it said the 15th, and yes... they completely ghosted me and took my day from me... waiting for a refund now

I would give a five-star but some of the grass firmly strung together and falling apart. 18 or 19 out of 20 rolls were good but one or two of them were unacceptable. However the quality of the grass was excellent. I wish I could give a 4.5 star

I had hoped to leave a five-star review, but unfortunately that is not the case. Here are pictures of my yard after just one month of installation. The sod was already in very poor condition—extremely disappointing, to say the least.
It is important for potential customers to know that Sodlawn offers NO WARRANTY. I communicated with an associate about the deteriorating state of my sod, hoping the company would provide a resolution, but instead they just stopped responding to my emails altogether. That is not what I would consider good customer service.
When I first inquired about ordering sod, I was deciding between fescue and Bermuda. I explained to the representative that I was replacing Bermuda sod my dog had damaged as a puppy from digging holes. At that time, I wish I had been advised that fescue is highly vulnerable to dog urine—a fact I only later learned from the landscaping company I hired in an effort to save the sod. However, even in areas of my side yard where my dogs do not have access, the sod has completely died, so dog urine was not the only cause.
In the end, I feel I simply received a bad batch of sod and, without any warranty or follow-up from the company, I am left without recourse. I share this review in the hope that it catches Sodlawn’s attention and provides transparency for potential customers considering an order.

Because sod is a perishable product, we’re unable to offer warranties, which is explained in our terms and conditions at the time of ordering. The long-term health of sod depends on many factors outside of our control—such as watering, soil prep, weather, and aftercare. For this reason, if sod ever arrives in poor condition, we ask customers to reach out with a call and photos right away, on the day of delivery, so that we can review and address the issue promptly. Waiting several weeks makes it difficult for us to help correct the situation.
We do try to guide customers toward the grass type best suited for their needs, and when pets are mentioned, we typically recommend Bermuda since it holds up better than fescue in those conditions. We’re sorry if that wasn’t made clear in your case.
