My husband and I have an older home in a good location, but time, age, and other issues contributed to our inability to keep up with much needed updates and repairs. They made us a good offer which we accepted and then we just sat back and let them do their thing. There were only a few people who came to the house, always arrangements made well in advance and accompanied by someone from SoCal Home Buyers. They purchased our house with one of their buyer partners and covered all closing and escrow costs. There were a few bumps along the way but they always communicated everything to us and made sure we were well taken care of. SoCal Home Buyers are literally a God send. We were frustrated and worried and didn’t see any options; and were afraid we were about to loose everything. These people cared about us and gave us a way out.
Angel got us started and Gavino walked us through every step of the way. Not only was he kind, understanding, and knowledgeable, he prayed for us and helped us through. He was awesome.

The short story is SoCal Home Buyers made a very fair offer, delivered on every promise, and exceeded all expectations with professionalism, friendliness, fairness and empathy.
This was not our first home sale experience, but the first time we used a service like SoCal Home Buyers. Based on Riverside County Court mandates for distributing assets of a probate settlement in a timely fashion (even though all beneficiaries were in agreement) we had to expedite the home sale process.
My wife, Lyn, researched “As Is” purchase companies, but I had trepidation and pursued a traditional real estate sale route with a realtor who reached out 2.5 years ago after noting a property title change following a trust creation.
Impressed with SoCal Home Buyers reviews, Lyn reached out and spoke to Angel, who scheduled an on-site meeting with a SoCal representative. Considering we live in Northern California, meetings required travel arrangements, a date was set, and we met with Gavino Galindo, remained transparent about our trepidations, and exploring traditional sales options. Gavino understood our concerns regarding our nephew, who lived on site and needed to move after the passing of his dad, did a site inspection, noted our parameters, expectations, and agreed to provide a proposal by the end of the week.
We did our comps, accessed property needs for sale, penciled out expected costs and determined a fair expectation. Two days later we received an offer meeting our expectation. Additionally, Gavino offered a 30-day close, but realizing our nephew might have challenges vacating quickly, suggested a 45-day close with an option to extend if situations dictated.
Prior to accepting SoCal Home Buyers offer, we met with a real estate agent who provided numerous options including full renovation, lipstick on a pig, and/or selling to an investor. None of the options came close to SoCal Home Buyers offer.
Upon accepting SoCal Home Buyers offer, communications with Transaction Coordinator & Office Manager, Cyndi Hewus, were seamless as she guided us through the process with EBS escrow and property questionnaire. Considering this was a probate sale facilitated by executor, Lyn, involving two deceased siblings with un-equal ownership shares, clear title was challenging to determine, but SoCal Home Buyers and EBS Escrow representatives remained positive, understanding, cooperative, and very helpful in verifying clear title and executing the sale process.
On a side note, the greatest challenge encountered had nothing to do with the home sale, but donating three vehicles (on the property) with no vehicle titles, but I digress. Yes, all was rectified, with Cyndi’s help, after the close of escrow. Another example of the personal touch demonstrated by SoCal Home Buyers team.
In summary, SoCal Home Buyers far exceeded all expectations and delivered on all aspects of their offer with no wrinkles. We met company owners Doug & Andrea Van Soest on a pre-close walk through, moved our nephew out the weekend before close of escrow, and made new friends with the SoCal Home Buyers & EBS Escrow teams. Realizing this may sound too good to be true, it was not drafted by AI, and we are available to speak to anyone considering a home sale with SoCal Home Buyers.

SoCal made the process as easy as possible which is great since so many obstacles occurred during the process. First found out the needed to go through probate, then covid interrupted the process. SoCal recommended serveral attorneys to handle the probate. After the 2+ year period, SoCal increased the offer since the value had increased.

Total scam. My Condo is worth $620'000, and they offered $502'000. Ridiculous. While the phone consultation was very friendly and quick (clearly, they don't care about anything but their bottom line). Don't believe that they have your best interest at heart. Just don't believe anything they say; they lie, and when you question them, they quote the highest commission rates trying to convince you that all the cost is justified. I did this on a whim to see what they would come back with and knew it would be a low-ball offer. Well, this confirms it. Go with Redfin or Zillow or any other company.
