Dr Currali and his staff are kind, patient, gentle and caring. Dr. C is thorough and very detailed. I took my son to have a cap repaired and he didn't need any numbing agents, there was no bleeding and mild discomfort for just a moment through out the procedure.
Dr. C is also conservative so you don't have to worry about unnecessary treatments.
The office has a chill vibe and there's always street parking available.
This was my first visit to this dental office. I cannot say how impressed I was with the care I received. First Eryan (spelling?) my hygienist was so friendly and thorough I immediately felt comfortable. He communicated why he checks certain things and kept me informed. Dr. Allan was SUPER nice. She found a spot that needed taking care of and had a good plan to try to fix it in a cost efficient manner. She also said she could fix an annoying place where food always gets stuck at the same time. I am hooked! If you are looking for a new dentist, you must give these folks a try.
Update: I have found my hygienist. Erjon is down to earth, kind, and takes care of himself ergonomically while doing his work. Today's cleaning was a positive experience! I noticed I barely had to move my head while he was working on me. He had these magic lighted magnifying glasses which made it easy on us both. I was in and out so quickly, I didn't have time to get anxious. 🤓🤓🤓 Well done Erjon.

I moved out of the neighborhood and I still go to this dentist. He is kind, caring and professional. He is the best.
The hygienists are who I see more often.
When getting my teeth cleaned, there is a mix of experiences.
For some people, it's not a big deal. For me, these appointments send me straight into anxiety and panic mode. I always request numbing and am accommodated. The thorough job the hygienists do is always appreciated.
I've never had positive feedback or encouragement about my home teeth cleaning regimen from any dental practice where I have been a patient. Even when diligent with flossing and brushing I don't hear positive reinforcement or encouragement that I am on the right track.
What I hear continually is "Brush more, floss more!" Implying (not good enough) and pointing out every single thing that is not up to standard.
If hygienists could: 1) Be encouraging. 2) Understand about working with people who have anxiety and depression, and get training on how to interact with this demographic. 3) End the appointment with 1 area of focus to work on in between visits, relayed to patients in a kind empathetic way it would go a long way to create a more positive experience. (I think my hygienist wanted me to prioritize brushing and flossing before bed as an area of focus).
Maybe this is too much to ask because of appointment time and complexity level of patient mouth condition. I appreciate how hard the hygienists work.
In summary, Smile Ballard's hygienists are technically well trained, professional, and good at what they do and Dr. Curalli is an amazing dentist.
I had a great experience at the clinic. Dr. Dominick Curalli and hygienist Tee were incredibly kind, gentle, and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole visit. The cleaning was done so well, and I really appreciate how clearly everything was explained in my treatment plan. I left with perfectly clean teeth and a much better mood. Thank you so much for your care and attention!
I wish I'd found Ballard Smile when we moved to Seattle 3 years ago. The quality of care Dr. Allen provides is incredible, professional, and compassionate. And, the staff are always kind and helpful. I cannot recommend Smile Ballard enough. A good dentist is hard to find, and a great one is almost unheard of. Smile Ballard is great!!
I had my first visit today at Smile Ballard and I was incredibly impressed! After having some other not-so-great experiences in Seattle, I landed here on the recommendation of my endodontist, and I was not disappointed. The office is clean, the staff is friendly and professional, and the dentist I saw is amazing. I had several issues to deal with in terms of crowns and fillings needing to be redone, and she spent a very nice amount of time with me explaining everything and giving me all my options.
My first visit to see Dr Curalli. I felt very welcomed and not rushed. He took the time to get to know me and what is important to me as a person as well as with my mouth and teeth. It has been a long time since I went to the dentist since my last experience was not a good one. He and his staff really gave me confidence in their competency. Also, timeliness. Started exactly on time and finished 5 min before the end of the appointment. The respect they have for my time as well as my well being. I'm actually relieved to have found this team. I feel like I have a great partner helping me take care of my teeth for the rest of my life.
