When I moved to the area I was surprised to see a ski shop in town at all. Just picked up some gear today, the owners were very helpful and patient with me. Great selection for the size of the store and location. I was able to find skis, bindings, boots, helmet, and goggles that I wanted in stock. Their website reflects in-stock items and was helpful for me to do some research on a few items before I went in to purchase. Definitely recommend making a stop here first. They also have rental gear.

Sadly it's the only shop in a 1hr radius from Charleston and while they have quality products. This does not mean you shun a new person from joining the sport because they appear to be bigger. I personally am a bigger person and have been skiing for 28 years without fail. This is a hard mark against the shop for not having the common courtesy to not judge someone based on physique. Yes large calf's have disadvantages but that is not a reason to keep someone from trying or saying they need one specific kind of gear.

The only place to buy quality ski/snowboarding gear at a store for entire tristate perhaps further away. Real nice folks and a pleasure to shop. Owners say open October to March every year.
