This was my first time doing the Sisterhood Travels and had a on amazing time with the new friends I made ❤️ It was worth every penny I am doing it again 2027 and can't wait.
To be honest, I was a little apprehensive taking my first solo trip without my spouse, but Antarctica was at the top of my bucket list, and he hates the cold, and none of my friends could take the time off from work. So I was either going alone or not going. Doing a lot of research on all female travel groups, I found Sisterhood Travels, and their Antarctica Tour, through social media. I loved the concept of an all-women travel group, but had no idea how it would actually work out. Well, it was FABULOUS!! So, if you are hesitant about going on that bucket list trip without having a companion, give Sisterhood Travels a try - I promise you won't be disappointed!
Sisterhood Travels is a top notch travel agency who handled every aspect of my dream trip. The entire experience from my initial research to our farewell dinner was outstanding. From the start, the customer service team provided quick turnarounds for all my questions, going out of their way to find me additional information for more complex questions/concerns. I was given a very thorough trip itinerary app that covered everything from what to pack, where to meet my transfer, day by day itineraries, even tips on tipping in the countries we were traveling too. Before we even stepped on the plane, our tour leader, Ellen, connected our group through social media so we could get to know each other. All the women except two sisters, were solo travelers. Once the trip began, Ellen ensured everything ran seamlessly. She handled every detail with ease, managed any issues that arose, and went above and beyond to coordinate memorable group moments, from tango lessons in Buenos Aires, a "Gal"entine’s Party on Feb 14 on the ship, to a special final dinner.
The women in my tour group came from all over the country, even one from Canada. We were all very different, with different backgrounds and travel experiences. What we had in common, though, was an intense enthusiasm for the journey we were about to embark upon, and that helped bond us from day 1.
Traveling with such like-minded women was a joy because of the perfect balance between community and independence. I loved knowing I always had someone to have a meal with, or play cards with during long stretches of time at sea, and having "sisters" who encouraged me to try new activities. But at the same time, it was nice not having the pressure to do all the same activities or the guilt when I just wanted to simply disappear into a good book without the fear of hurting anyone's feelings.
Sisterhood Travels is a reputable agency that has curated many incredible tours to destinations that otherwise seem inaccessible, especially for solo female travelers. They manage all the details and have a full staff behind the scenes to handle any and all issues that may arise while traveling. I can’t recommend them enough—and cannot wait for my next adventure with the "sisterhood."
Great travel company for women. Everything, and I mean everything, is taken care of for you, including transfers to your hotel and to the airport. I've traveled with them twice and made several new friends. I have two additional trips planned with my new "sisters".
Absolutely magical experience . Kind, thoughtful and , inclusive women . We laughed ,danced , toured and shared our life stories . Resort was luxurious and well appointed .Excursions and events organized by Sisterhood were fun and well organized . We have all vowed to stay in touch and travel together again . All in all a wonderful trip .
Just returned from my 6th trip with Sisterhood Travels. I highly recommend traveling with them. Itineraries are wonderful and accommodations are superb. The trip leaders let you know all necessary daily details as you go. The only thing you need to do is show up and enjoy yourself. One of the best parts of traveling with the Sisterhood is meeting and bonding with all the other women on the trip. I’ve met so many amazing women from all over the country and Canada who I’ve stayed in contact with and have traveled again with. I can’t wait for my next trip in May!
Recently experienced a trip of a lifetime with Sisterhood travels to the Galápagos Islands. I can’t begin to praise how amazing this company is and how wonderful this trip was. They take the “scary” out of planning big “bucket list” travel experiences. I felt safe and met the most amazing group of women. Highly recommend Sisterhood travels.
I wanted to do something special for myself after my divorce. Traveling alone wasn’t very appealing, and a friend recommended finding a ladies’ travel group. Sisterhood Travels provided a safe, fun, and culturally enriching experience! And our group leader really made it feel like a sisterhood. I look forward to staying in touch with some of the ladies I met on our tour!
My trip with the Sisterhood to Thailand and the Phi Phi Islands was the worst tour I’ve ever experienced.
Although the itinerary technically went ahead, every single day was affected by operational failures — poor logistics, excessive and unreasonable travel times, and consistently inadequate food arrangements. These were not isolated issues; they were constant and cumulative, turning what should have been an enjoyable 15-day trip into an exhausting and frustrating experience.
It quickly became apparent that the tour was operated by a third party without sufficient oversight or quality control. Partnering with local operators is not inherently a problem — failing to manage them is. When issues arose — which was often — they were handled reactively, if at all, leaving travelers to absorb the consequences.
This was not a matter of expecting luxury. It was a failure of basic planning, pacing, communication, and professional tour management, particularly concerning given the high cost of the trip and the company’s stated standards.
After receiving feedback from multiple clients on this tour, the company acknowledged in writing that the trip fell below its own standards. Despite this, the only resolution offered was a small, non-transferable future travel credit. This is inadequate at best. The company requires customers to pay in full upfront and enforces strict cancellation policies under which missed deadlines mean forfeited payments. When a company acknowledges that it failed to deliver what was promised, accountability should work both ways. A partial refund would have been a fair and appropriate response; a credit simply shifts the burden back onto the customer.
It looks like there were similar issues on other tours with the Sisterhood suggesting this experience was not an isolated incident.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend booking with this company. The problems were systemic, not incidental, and the response after acknowledging that the tour fell below standard demonstrates a lack of meaningful accountability that prospective travelers should take seriously.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry that this journey did not feel as positive as it should have for you.
After the tour concluded, we conducted a thorough internal review that included feedback from travelers, our hosts, and our operations team. While all elements of the itinerary were delivered as planned, we did identify areas where aspects of pacing, communication, and certain experiences could have been better. That feedback was acknowledged directly and has already been used to make adjustments and improvements to future tours.
We take guest feedback seriously, especially when it highlights opportunities to do better. At the same time, we want to note that the feedback from the majority of travelers on this and other recent tours has been overwhelmingly positive, which is something we work very hard to maintain and are deeply proud of.
Travel, particularly international travel, can involve variables such as weather, infrastructure, and regional service standards that occasionally impact logistics. While these factors are not always within our control, how we respond to them is, and we are committed to continually refining our planning, oversight, and communication.
We appreciate all feedback that helps us grow and remain committed to delivering meaningful, well-managed travel experiences for our community.

Hi Karen, Thank you so much for sharing this. We’re glad your first Sisterhood Travels trip was a good experience and that the mix of planned activities and free time worked well for you. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to travel with you again soon. Happy adventures to you too!
Sisterhood Travels provides top notch tours for women only. My trip to Finland was absolutely fantastic. Fully planned with a lot of free time to explore on your own if you wish. The woman coordinating this really know what they are doing!

Thank you so much, Leslie. We’re thrilled to hear your Finland trip was such a great experience. We love creating trips that balance thoughtful planning with plenty of time to explore on your own. Your kind words about our tour coordinator mean a lot to us. We’d be happy to welcome you on another adventure anytime!
In May of 2023, I joined Sisterhood Travels on their Colors of Morocco tour. Kudos to the whole team for providing such a multi-dimensional experience.
I am very well traveled, but my trips have usually been with groups of 6 or less, so I was hesitant to embark on an adventure with 23 other women.
This trip exceeded my expectations on so many levels: the cultural experience, the educational value, the knowledgeable, witty, helpful guides (Mohamed Merri, at the over-the-top of the list), the activities, the flexibility and added bonuses…. but most of all the Sisterhood’s philosophy of empowerment, respect for all and relationship building.
I believe this philosophy helped me connect with all 23 women from this tour, some experienced globe trotters, others very new to the travel scene; all understanding, helpful, friendly, fun, adventurous spirits, bringing various life experiences to the table. We stay in touch regularly, through WhatsApp or visiting each other in other states to reminisce, share confidences, get advice and just laugh!
Our group leaders, Elizabeth, Mary, Pam and Jodi did a phenomenal job of upholding the sisterhood philosophy, guiding and helping us and making each of us feel valued and loved!
I am beyond excited to travel again with the Sisterhood to Antarctica with 3 of my new-found sisters. I am sure there is a Sisterhood tour to meet your needs. Check it out!

Thank you so much for such a wonderful, comprehensive review of Sisterhood Travels. We're so happy that you had a wonderful time! We can't wait to see you in Antarctica. Let the adventure begin!
If you were ever worried about traveling alone, don’t be. This group is great. Hawaii was my second tour with them. The ladies were amazing and fun. If it’s your first time read ALL of the descriptions and instructions before booking. Specifically the activity level. 😉

Thank you, Paulette. We love hearing that Hawaii was your second trip with us and that you had such a fun time with the group. You’re absolutely right. Reading the trip details and activity levels ahead of booking makes a big difference, especially for first-time travelers. We appreciate you sharing your experience and look forward to traveling together again soon. 😊
I have found my travel tribe! I just went on my first trip with Sisterhood, and it was so much fun! My husband does not like to travel as much as I do, so I started looking at women’s travel groups, and found a gem with Sisterhood. Everything was curated and organized, I just had to show up with my luggage, and be ready for a trip of a lifetime! The ladies were great, it was like traveling with friends that I already knew. Looking forward to the next trip!

Thank you so much, Tammy. We’re smiling reading this. Finding your travel tribe is exactly what Sisterhood Travels is all about. We’re glad your first trip felt easy, fun, and full of great connections, especially since you could just show up and enjoy the experience. We love hearing that it felt like traveling with friends. We can’t wait to have you join us again on your next trip.
I just returned from my first tour with Sisterhood travel. I enjoyed it so much I booked another tour with them while I was on this one. It was liberating to travel with a group of like minded women and everyone was so helpful. Considering I'd never met anyone on the tour by the time it was over I felt I'd made 17 new friends. If you're afraid of going by yourself, this is the tour for you! Just do it! You'll be so thrilled you did!!!

Thank you, Kim. This makes us so happy to read. Booking your next trip while you were still on your first one says everything. We love that what started as a group of strangers turned into 17 new friends by the end. That’s the magic we hope for on every trip. We’re so glad you felt supported and had such a great time, and we can’t wait to travel with you again!
I just recently return from a trip with the Sisterhood. They are wonderful. They plan trips that inspire the love of learning and promote true sisterhood. There are many things I like about the sisters but one of the best things is they plan everything. You just go along and you are taken care of. They also take care of you if you are hurt, injured, or land with a serious eye infection. I landed in Milan with some kind of eye infection. The tour manager took me straight to the ER and stayed with me since I didn’t speak the language. We waited 3 hours but she was with me the entire time. You never have to worry about transport. They pick you up at the airport. They take you everywhere and get all the tickets for the attractions. You don’t have to worry about a thing. I have been on five trips with the sisters and I have 3 more planned. Great organization for women who want to travel and be safe. I have one suggestion, really look at the trip and the activity level. This trip was very hard for me because of orthopedic problems. But again the sisters in the group, we took care of each other. Love the Sisterhood.

Disappointing tour, over-priced too
I took a tour of the French Riviera and was deeply disappointed. The tour organization was adequate if sketchy, the communications vague and the vaunted sisterhood was non-existent. Several “sisters” apparently just came to drink and swear. We could visit a hilltop village but they walked directly to a bar and started drinking. OK fine. It was their vacation. Others on the trip hung out with people they knew from a previous tour and did not seem to welcome meeting anyone new. The worst was when I saw that Gate 1 was at our same hotel with the same basic tour but at a steeply discounted price from what I paid. Buyer beware I guess.
