My husband and I had a great experience with Simba Sea Tours on this private tour. We visited Maya Bay and made several other stops for swimming and snorkeling before going back to their lovely beach club for lunch. The best part of the day was hanging out with the crew: Sara, Yaya and Janie. Sara had a great attitude and was a fun guide to spend the day with, Yaya was a skilled and professional captain who also prepared special fruit plates for us and Janie was awesome to snorkel with, helping us spot sharks and tons of sea life that we may have overlooked ourselves. Yes the private tour is more expensive but if you value being able to dictate where your time is spent (for example, we had the flexibility to spend longer periods of time snorkeling and swimming at the stops as opposed to folks on Simba’s group tour, etc) this is a great option. Thank you for a great day!!

Fantastic tour! Guides were friendly and everything flowed perfectly, with the right amount of time at each spot. Coffee and sticky rice on Maya beach and snorkeling were real highlights. Great to go early to beat the rush. Highly recommend this tour

My husband and I took the Sunrise Phi Phi tour the last day of our honeymoon and it couldn't be a better way to end our trip. The all the stops were beautiful and the perfect length, there were yummy snacks and we felt tended to every step of the way. They were also very attentive to my gluten allergy and made sure I had safe food to eat.

A wonderful day on the water. It was cloudy so we only got a glimpse of the sunrise. The boat staff was extremely competent and friendly. The tour leader, Hoi Hoi was very gracious. We were offered beverages, snacks, sticky rice… enough to hold us over until lunch back at the SoHo Club (which was delicious). The snorkeling was great. The boat itself is not luxurious but the experience was well worth it.

Zeer goede en leuke tour. Doordat we de sunrise tour hadden hebben we geen last gehad van drukte of iets dergelijks. De mooiste zonsopgang midden op zee gezien. Er werd goed voor ons gezorgd doordat we de hele dag eten en drinken kregen. Tourleider Joseph, zijn sidekick en de captain hebben er een leuke dag van gemaakt voor ons.

Great service and friendly staff The trip was great we arrived early to Maya Bay where we spottet some small sharks. We had to snorkling 45*2 we had plenty of food and water. Staff was friendly and helpful

Simba sea trips - Your key to enjoy the best of Thailand. I had an amazing experience on the Phi Phi tour with Simba Sea Trips. Everything was well-organized from start to finish, and the overall experience was truly incredible. Our guide, Noinoi, was a very funny and entertaining person who made the tour even more enjoyable with his humour and friendly nature.The hospitality throughout the trip was excellent, and the team made sure we were comfortable at every step. We had requested vegetarian food, and they went out of their way to prepare four separate vegetarian dishes just for us at lunch, which we really appreciated.Overall, it was a fantastic tour with beautiful locations, great service, and a guide who made the day unforgettable. Highly recommended!

The sunrise tour is the only way to properly enjoy a tour of Phi Phi Islands. Simba's team is well-organised, friendly and made sure we never go hungry throughout the trip. It was a good bonus to have only a small group for the trip. Even with the early morning tour, there is already a crowd at Maya Bay, so I can't imagine what it would be like to go in the afternoon. Highly recommend for a comfortable, stress-free experience with minimal delays and spacious boat.

Phi phi island The tour guide was amazing and friendly! They made sure we were comfortable and made sure we were adequately hydrated! They even swam with us during snorkel time. It was truly amazing!

Rough water - Company should have cancelled The crew and staff were excellent and very helpful throughout. My rating is reflective of two main concerns with the vendor. First, the boat is too small for the open sea and distance traveled. Second, the sea was entirely too rough for operating the tour the day we traveled to Phi Phi. The company should have cancelled or at least advised of the situation and offered a refund. All of the passengers were uncomfortable and noted they would have cancelled if they knew the conditions. Better communication and transparency are needed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We strongly disagree with your assessment regarding safety and wish to clarify that at Simba, safety is our highest priority — always. Our operations team constantly monitors sea and weather conditions, and we never depart if we believe the conditions are unsafe. If there were any genuine risk, the tour would have been cancelled immediately without hesitation or the crew would have turned back. They would not risk their own lives either. They are more than happy to turn back and of course a full refund is provided . Our boats are fully licensed, meticulously maintained, and specifically designed for the open sea. They meet — and often exceed — all safety standards. To suggest that our vessels are unsafe to travel to Phi Phi is not accurate and could be misleading to others. A longtail boat is not safe, but a speed boat is specifically built for that. That said, we understand that every guest has different comfort levels when it comes to sea travel. What may feel uncomfortable for some can be manageable for others, depending on personal tolerance to motion and conditions at sea. Despite your suggested slightly rougher waters that day, our experienced crew and staff worked hard to ensure all guests were safe, cared for, and as comfortable as possible. Our GPS tracking of the boat that day also indicates that the tour operated in more than safe conditions simply by looking at the speed. All our boats have live tracking and gps data history for us to check. We truly value feedback as it helps us communicate more clearly with future guests about what to expect and we hope that people do understand that they are booking a speed boat tour and that it's not always flat water. We stand by our decision to operate that day safely and with full consideration for passenger wellbeing.
