My husband and I took the Sunrise Phi Phi tour the last day of our honeymoon and it couldn't be a better way to end our trip. The all the stops were beautiful and the perfect length, there were yummy snacks and we felt tended to every step of the way. They were also very attentive to my gluten allergy and made sure I had safe food to eat.
A wonderful day on the water. It was cloudy so we only got a glimpse of the sunrise. The boat staff was extremely competent and friendly. The tour leader, Hoi Hoi was very gracious. We were offered beverages, snacks, sticky rice… enough to hold us over until lunch back at the SoHo Club (which was delicious). The snorkeling was great. The boat itself is not luxurious but the experience was well worth it.
Globalement c’etait une belle activité. Les guides étaient extrêmement gentils et attentionnés. J’aurais mis la note maximale si on avait plus explorer ko phi phi , par exemple au lieu de s’arreter sur une ile face a phuket sans interet pendant 1h , ca aurait ete canon de rester sur une plage de ko phi phi. Je me suis senti frustrée sur la duree de temps la bas l’ile est tellement merveilleuse le voyage est long et assez perilleux donc le but de l’excursion etait ko phi phi et rien d’autre. le repas inclue etant proposé a l’arrivé au port , je ne voir pas l’interet ni le plaisir car cela aurait ete exceptionnel de manger sur ko phi phi et de profiter du paysage. Mes critiques sont du aux tarifs exorbitants payés pour cette excursion. Nous avions fait une excursion avec seanary un yacht de luxe dans la baie de phang nga pour le meme prix et cela etait epoustouflant en terme de paysage, d’attractions et de services de luxe. Zeer goede en leuke tour. Doordat we de sunrise tour hadden hebben we geen last gehad van drukte of iets dergelijks. De mooiste zonsopgang midden op zee gezien. Er werd goed voor ons gezorgd doordat we de hele dag eten en drinken kregen. Tourleider Joseph, zijn sidekick en de captain hebben er een leuke dag van gemaakt voor ons.
This is the undoubtedly the best thing you can do in Phuket. Breathtaking experience, not crowded, very well designed and executed itinerary, entire crew and especially Noi were very welcoming, helpful, jolly and left no stone unturned to make this a truly memorable experience. So delighted we decided to book this tour.

We had so much fun on this trip thanks to Patrick! The ride to Phi Phi is magical during the sunrise and we were almost the first ones to arrive. You could feel that Patrick and his team care a lot about their groups. Also we had plenty of space on the boat

Highly recommend this trip, get up early to enjoy the sunrise and less people at each stop. Food was wonderful, each stop breathtaking and Patrick was a knowledgeable and funny host.

The trip was great we arrived early to Maya Bay where we spottet some small sharks. We had to snorkling 45*2 we had plenty of food and water. Staff was friendly and helpful

A must do tour !!! Lots of tours claim to get you there before the crowds but Patrick (our hype man and host of the day) and the crew really do get you to each spot first - the only speedboat at each spot every single time! This is the complete opposite of a company looking to make a quick and easy buck by getting you to the Phi Phi islands, it’s so clear Simba Sea Tours are committed to making sure you have core memories and a once in a lifetime experience! There was snacks on the boat throughout the day, banana bread, fresh fruit, coconut sticky rice, summer rolls and soft drinks and then the lunch at the end of the day including homemade pad Thai was just gorgeous. We couldn’t have loved this trip any more and are so grateful to the lengths Patrick and the whole team went to so that everyone had a smile on their face for the whole day and had an unforgettable experience! The sunrise tour is the only way to properly enjoy a tour of Phi Phi Islands. Simba's team is well-organised, friendly and made sure we never go hungry throughout the trip. It was a good bonus to have only a small group for the trip.
Even with the early morning tour, there is already a crowd at Maya Bay, so I can't imagine what it would be like to go in the afternoon.
Highly recommend for a comfortable, stress-free experience with minimal delays and spacious boat.

Rough water - Company should have cancelled
The crew and staff were excellent and very helpful throughout. My rating is reflective of two main concerns with the vendor. First, the boat is too small for the open sea and distance traveled. Second, the sea was entirely too rough for operating the tour the day we traveled to Phi Phi. The company should have cancelled or at least advised of the situation and offered a refund. All of the passengers were uncomfortable and noted they would have cancelled if they knew the conditions. Better communication and transparency are needed.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We strongly disagree with your assessment regarding safety and wish to clarify that at Simba, safety is our highest priority — always. Our operations team constantly monitors sea and weather conditions, and we never depart if we believe the conditions are unsafe. If there were any genuine risk, the tour would have been cancelled immediately without hesitation or the crew would have turned back. They would not risk their own lives either. They are more than happy to turn back and of course a full refund is provided . Our boats are fully licensed, meticulously maintained, and specifically designed for the open sea. They meet — and often exceed — all safety standards. To suggest that our vessels are unsafe to travel to Phi Phi is not accurate and could be misleading to others. A longtail boat is not safe, but a speed boat is specifically built for that. That said, we understand that every guest has different comfort levels when it comes to sea travel. What may feel uncomfortable for some can be manageable for others, depending on personal tolerance to motion and conditions at sea. Despite your suggested slightly rougher waters that day, our experienced crew and staff worked hard to ensure all guests were safe, cared for, and as comfortable as possible. Our GPS tracking of the boat that day also indicates that the tour operated in more than safe conditions simply by looking at the speed. All our boats have live tracking and gps data history for us to check. We truly value feedback as it helps us communicate more clearly with future guests about what to expect and we hope that people do understand that they are booking a speed boat tour and that it's not always flat water. We stand by our decision to operate that day safely and with full consideration for passenger wellbeing.
