This was a wonderful experience. My wife and I participated in a half-day vegetable carving workshop. We arrived 45 minutes early, and the instructor was able to help us get started in no time. The entire process took place in a comfortable environment, and the instructor provided appropriate support, allowing us enough time to complete our creations. It was a truly enjoyable experience.

Wow, what a find! In 3 hours I learned so many different and stunning carving techniques to transform tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots. Wan is an amazing teacher, such a beautiful, warm, patient person who went out of her way to help me. I really loved the carving afternoon and look forward to putting what I learnt into practice.
Don't be put off by the building entrance, which initially looks empty, as you take a lift up into a comfortable area for the carving. You even get your very own carving knife to keep. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

Siam Carving academy was one of the best experiences I had at Bangkok. In the class you learn how to make beautiful fruit and vegetable carvings that you can replicate at home. With what you learn in the class you can enhance your dishes in unique ways (such as elegant lotus tomatoes that could hold small foods, cucumber leaf carvings that can be placed on glass cups for cocktails, and more). The class itself is fun, and included in the class is delicious local Thai food that you can munch on while carving. At the end of the class you get to keep the tools you used so that you can continue carving well after the class is done. The service itself is also
incredible, as the Teacher went out of her
way to make sure I understood the
carving techniques. To add to this, she
went above and beyond afterwards in
helping me get to the train station i
needed to go to after, and let me keep a
bag of lychee fruits from the class

I signed up for the 3-hour carving workshop. I was looking for an interesting indoor, air-conditioned activity to beat the afternoon heat, and this did not disappoint! It was such a fun way to learn a new skill and participate in a little bit of Thai culture. The workshop even includes the carving knife so you can continue to practice at home. My partner and I signed up for the 3 hours course. Definitely something different from your normal cooking class! It was not easy but interesting to learn a traditional skill. We worked on tomatoes, carrots and cucumbers and were amazed how these everyday vegetables can turn into intricate pieces of art. Wan was a very professional and patient teacher who taught us passionately.. She went to help us individually to make sure we got the right angles to carve the vegetables. Larry was also responsive with messages and assisted us the best directions to get to their school. Definitely recommend this activity for a break in Bangkok.
