While on a visit to the UK , Leicester in particular , I had a western union money transfer sent to me before I travelled back abroad , I specifically sourced this Post Office from location & to fit with my schedule while completing my business , my mobility is also quiet limited & fit the route id be taking, I went to the counter gave the relevant details only to be told that there is a limit to how much they can pay out & my transfer was over the limit & couldnt be done, I was absolutely astonished by this response coming from an official WU agent & asked to speak to the manager ,from the moment he approached me I could see that this person had an attitude & this was going to be difficult , I explained my situation , that I had come to this business specially to collect a legitimate transfer , my time was limited as I had a flight to catch , I also told him that I have a serious health condition which was now being made worse from the stress & anxiety that him refusing to proceed with the transfer was causing but this seemed to be a minor thing to him & showed no sympathy , at this time his , what I presume wife came over who was just as obnoxious & told me there was is a " Jewelry shop outside of the center & down the road " that are WU agents .. when I asked for proper directions or an address , her answer was " dont know , just ask someone in the street " ..this is a post office remember , disgraceful behaviour & customer service especially as they could see I was getting more & more flustered & distressed . I left & went to the area she said but there was only one Jeweler just there & they didn't do WU transactions so they sent me on a wild goose chase looking for a non existent agent knowing full well that I was having breathing difficulties & not able to walk far .. after a while I made my way towards the town center , I went into a computer store to ask if they knew of any where local that does Western Union transfer & by chance he knew of an agent only a five minute walk from there at which everything went through OK . This person was my saviour that day , so much more helpful, than the Rude , Disrespectful , Inconsiderate & Ignorant two people who have such bad manners & attitudes did , they shouldn't be running any kind of business that involves contact with the general public ..
Highly recommended not to use this Post Office run by Awful People ..
EDIT .. IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY ..
I appreciate your guidelines & policies but they should be posted on your website , Google or on any of the other media there is out there to save people wasting their precious time & energy .. but you seem to be missing the main point which is in the way the manager & his wife spoke to & treated me , again , I reiterate , they were extremely rude , disrespectful , abrupt , inconsiderate , ignorant , dismissive , belligerent , belittled me & were totally disgusting in their attitude & manner ...
Also as stated , I suggest anyone considering using this post office go elsewhere , as you can see from other reviews I am not the first to comment on these peoples treatment of customers ..

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We value all our customers and take the time to review every comment carefully.
However, we must respectfully clarify that our Post Office operates under strict national guidelines set by Post Office Ltd and Western Union. The payout limits for money transfers are not determined by us at a branch level — they are regulated policies which we are obliged to follow. Unlike some high street Western Union agents, Post Office branches have specific transaction limits for security and compliance reasons, and we cannot override or exceed them under any circumstance.
Our staff acted in accordance with these official procedures. While we understand that this may have caused you inconvenience, we cannot break the rules to accommodate any request that goes beyond the permitted limits.
We remain committed to serving all customers within the framework of the regulations that govern our operations and thank you for your understanding.

I had an excellent experience at the post office thanks to Leena! She was extremely polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. Leena greeted me with a warm smile and patiently helped me with my postal needs, making the whole process quick and stress-free. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with genuine kindness, but Leena does exactly that.

I recently visited the post office for mailing documents, and I was very satisfied with the service provided. Mr. Dhaval was very courteous, knowledgeable, and ensured all procedures were completed correctly. The queue moved quickly, and the environment was well-organized. It’s good to see such reliable service in the community.
