My name is Jamie Hedge, we have had problems with Dean for a few years now. He came out and ruined our mini split (that he installed) and it wouldn't work anymore and he wouldn't do anything about it. Then this year my husband passed away and he knew it he just lives up the rd from us. But the big unit went out I called him he came out said it was my transformer and he would order the part and come back out to fix it. Well 3 months go by and every call that I made to him he said it was on backorder due to covid. So the entire summer I had no air it was horrible. I went on line and ordered the part he said was on backorder for 3 months and had it the next day and it only cost me $48 for everything. He is not whom he claims to be. He could care less for his customers. Never again would I ever use him I would rather pay triple than ever use him again. And right now I'm having to come up with the money to replace the mini split . He is not a man of his word nor is he a person of truth. People be aware, we thought good about him at first as well then as soon as we had a problem, it is were it all started!
He must be paying people to write positive reviews. Worst experience I have ever had. My water heater went out when my basement flooded in March. Said the water heater was not fixable and needed a new one. Suggested I buy a tankless heater. Said I should buy directly to save money and he would install. Purchased it and parts and never installed. I had to call constantly and he kept saying it would be a few weeks every time. After a month of no hot water, he came out and rigged the water heater to work. I don’t think I needed a new water heater in the first place. Just saw $$$$. Have called him for 2 months and will not return calls or texts. In case you’re wondering, I was never a rude or disrespectful customer. I’ve had the patience of Job. I should’ve done my research first. I have heard countless negative stories about Dean Shetter. He’s incompetent and dishonest, in my opinion
Had an AC condenser motor blow on me, got a quote and the following morning it was replaced with little issue.
This was a relief as I was expecting them to try to upsell me like most other AC places where they want you to buy their make and model of AC rather than fix the one you have.
A few hours later and a fair bill of $400, and I am back in business, cool as a cucumber rather than sitting in a sweat box.

Dean of Shetter Heating & Cooling, LLC came out to a rental that I own. I told him that the furnace is getting old, the control module went out, that it's probably(in my uneducated HVAC opinion) not worth fixing. I asked him for a quote on replacing the whole furnace. He came out the same day of my call, without me being there, and called me 5 minutes after looking at it. He explained that he would be happy to replace it, but he can fix it for $350. That it is an old furnace, but it's one that is built well and should give me many more years of service. He got me all fixed and saved me a ton of money when he could have made much more off of me. Great guy, honest, super fast!
