Great for locals and visitors, a wonderful introduction to Canberra and new ways to look at old institutions and places
We did a private tour 'Badass Women of Canberra walking tour' with Sita. Wonderful tour, great guide, well researched and planned! Our extended family visiting from Qld loved it as did we the locals. Something for everyone and a lovely blend of history, place and people in the National triangle. We will definitely recommend to others and do more tours ourselves! Sue and family

A wonderful view of history and people of Canberra and Australia
The walking tour on a beautiful Canberra Spring day showed the "back" story to ASIO and "spying" in Australia. The beginnings of the organisation and in particular the women involved or spied upon show the change in Australia's political and social concerns since before the second world war. It also links to some of the buildings and lets you see some of the architectural aspects of Canberra. The walk was a couple of kilometres with regular stops and the terrain not difficult and took two hours. A hat and some water would be useful on a sunny day. Our guide was happy to answer questions and engage in discussion. The group size was less than 20 and very manageable. A different way to see and learn about Canberra.

Great tour with a very friendly and passionate guide. Really loved the postcard at the end that had a map of the area we had just walked and a QR code with links to references and further reading for all of the stories. Would highly recommend.

How else do you really know a place until you understand it's people? I am chalking up my She Shapes History tours and can recommend both Women's History (Badass Women of Cbr) and Spies in the Capital tours. Interesting, informative and fun tours of our nations capital including stories about accidental heroines, excess meat pies and sexy pollies. And before you know it the 2hrs are up! The guides are also lovely and happy to answer cbr questions for out of towners (good restaurants? Where to go next?) to make the most of our nation's capital. Can't wait for my next one.

Sita was our guide for the Booze, Secrets and Scandals Pub Tour. She was absolutely OUTSTANDING. We booked the tour for my partner's birthday party and had such a good time. It was SO much fun. Sita was so knowledgeable, friendly & thanks to her small microphone and speaker, she was also easy to hear. (I am hard of hearing, so that was important for me.) I’m a massive history buff, so Sita was just captivating. The pubs we visited were interesting, too. But the walk through history on a beautiful evening made this experience so memorable and one I won't be forgetting any time soon.

Had an amazing time on the spy tour with Sam. Her enthusiasm and passion were so contagious. All of the stories were so interesting and some were really unexpected. It genuinely challenged how I thought about spying. Would recommend for anyone who wants to learn more about Canberra and how women have shaped history here.

This tour was a great introduction to Canberra.
We ended up on this experience by chance as the other walking tour we wanted to do was unavailable. I am so so glad that we did!
The tour gives an overview of the hidden women's history in the Parliamentary Triangle.
Our guide Eliza had a real passion for Canberra and its history and this really shines through when she is showing you around.
I thoroughly recommend She Shapes History tours to anyone and everyone.

Nice walk among iconic places
Short walk full of fascinating information and stories which you can’t read anywhere. In just 3 km long walk we enjoyed 2 hours of nice stories which connected our previous knowledge and facts about Canberra.
