We are so happy with our final project. The crew arrived every day on time and left on time, always leaving a very clean and organized construction site. All of his staff are professional and easy to work with. Luke was able to give us design elements that we would not have thought of, and we absolutely love the result.
Luke is well organized and a great communicator — he always responded to texts and phone calls the same day. His billing was clear and detailed. We appreciated the flow of the project, with each step executed perfectly. Our project came in on time, and honestly, it looks like we spent way more money than we did.
Luke is very good at what he does and we cannot recommend him more highly. We absolutely love how beautiful our ADU turned out.

Working with Luke Shaw of Shaw Built has been a great experience. He turned our 60+ year old beach
house, which had not seen significate updates since it was built, into a gorgeous place for vacation living
by the beach.
From the very start Luke was easy to communicate with and would always respond in a timely manner if
we reached out to him. He also kept the project going and on time. Luke provided us with a work
schedule to let us know what was going to be happening at the house each week which made it easy to
set expectation for us.
When discussing ideas for each space he made suggestions on what he thought would work well in the
space. This allowed us to think more outside the box and see the potential of what could be done.
His workers and subcontractors were always on time and got to work right away. They worked above
and beyond to get the job done every day. The attention to detail on every level was the priority for
Luke and his team and they did a suburb job.
If something was not done to our liking, (solid laundry room door) Luke was quick to make changes to
our satisfaction, (exchanging for a glass door).
He did a photo catalog of work in process. Taking photos to remember how piping and electrical was
laid out in the walls was essential. For example, knowing how things are laid out in the walls after the
dry wall went up was helpful when we needed to add an outlet or if an outlet was not working. We
referred to the photos to help resolve the problem.
Over all, Luke and his team were fun to work with. They went above and beyond at the job and made
our shabby beach home into a beautiful place for our family to enjoy. We look forward to working with
Shaw Built on our next project.

Working with Luke and his team was a great experience from start to finish. He was very patient with our process- especially when we weren't ready to make decisions about the kitchenette for our ADU. He stepped in with helpful ideas and really collaborated with us on the design, bringing a great eye and thoughtful approach to the project.
Throughout the build, Luke was available to talk through decisions and address any issues that came up. His trades team was super---skilled, professional and always respectful. We were living on the property during the work, and his crew was considerate, kept the site clean with weekly cleanups and made sure impact was minimal.
Luke wrapped up the project in a solid, thoughtful way, and overall it felt like a real partnership. We'd recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor who is collaborative, communicative and truly care about doing things right.

Shaw Built is by far and away the best contractor we have ever had. They are honest(which is absolutely critical), thorough, and incredibly talented. One of the issues with remodels is you never know what you may find. They worked with us through all the surprises giving us all the options. I can’t recommend them highly enough. We now have a fabulous kitchen thanks to Luke and his team! It was great working with this firm, they helped us in all stages from early ideas, design, and attention to detail to get the job done. We had a unique space and Shaw Built helped us make the most of what we had to maximize the natural light and generate flow. Every person who worked on our project was friendly and kept our house orderly while in construction and clean. The kitchen project was finished ahead of schedule and hit right on our budget number. We are so pleased we chose this firm.
