Five stars for the Southampton Sewing Hub! I absolutely loved my very first class this morning. As a complete beginner, I was instantly put at ease by the wonderful instructor, Suzie, who is incredibly patient, kind, and genuinely helpful. The other ladies attending were also so lovely and welcoming, making for a truly fantastic atmosphere. Starting on my tote bag project was thoroughly enjoyable. I’m already looking forward to my next sessions and feel completely confident that I’ll gain the skills needed to tackle small projects at home.Thank you x
A great overlocker tuition session with Suzie which has given me the confidence to get started with my machine and the knowledge to hopefully make some wearable stretchy garments!
Suize tailored my wedding dress for me and she did an absolutely amazing job. My dress fit me perfectly and was at the perfect height for my heels which made the dress look even more stunning. I wanted some sleeves to be added which Suize did easily, showing me different options for materials and helping me find the one that was right for me. When they were added on it look beautiful and she added them with poppers so I could take them out if I wanted to do so later in the evening. The whole process of working with Suize was very easy, I never had to worry about my dress and I thank you for all the incredible work that you did. I would highly recommend Suize and The Sewing Hub for your next alteration!
The best place to learn from the expert and lovely Suzie! She is one of the best sewing teachers, explaining all the tricks with patience and care.
It’s also a wonderful workshop to learn new skills, socialize, have a chat, and enjoy a drink in a peaceful and welcoming environment.

I have been using this space for over a year to work on my own projects. The equipment and space are amazing, so much better working in a studio with a cutting table and both domestic and industrial grade machines. Also, Suzie is an expert in all of them and provides a thorough induction before using any of the equipment so you’re in safe hands. A great place for professionals looking for a space to work as well as for beginners that are looking for lessons. Highly recommend!
So so happy ! I brought in a dress for my graduation and susie made time for me on a tight schedule to see me. I then had an issue with changing the day of picking it up and she was so accommodating to help me as well as the alteration I needed being done perfectly and exactly what I wanted ! Very happy :)
I went to the 'mend it' event and learned some new skills. I was very happy that I attended the event. Suzie is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Very helpful, I needed a zip for my jacket and suzie is going to fit one for me. I found it very hard to find anyone who could do this for me.
Just had a class with Suzie, where we learnt how to sew a small tote bag and it was so much fun! Feel ready to try more on my own now. Thank you, I loved the session!
Sue helped me out last minute after another seamstress messed up my bridesmaids dress.
The work was absolutely flawless and Sue was so lovely and reassuring. When I saw that she’d been able to fix the mistakes I nearly cried in happiness.
I’ll definitely be using Sue again; although next time won’t be for an emergency!
