The best place in Hillsboro to find truly authentic Sri Lankan flavors! Their Cheese Koththu, String Hoppers, and Chinese–Sri Lankan style set menu rice are absolute must-tries. The service is always friendly, and you can really taste the love in every dish. Don’t miss their fish and egg rolls — highly recommend!

I just got back from Sri Lanka and was thrilled to find a brand new Sri Lankan food cart right here in Hillsboro—Serendib Kitchen. Honestly, the food blew me away. I tried the beef and chicken kotthu along with the egg rotis, and everything was packed with authentic, bold flavors that even rival some of the meals I enjoyed back home. The pork devil was the absolute standout for me—perfectly seasoned with that delicious Sri Lankan heat and spice balance. The flavors are so well-crafted and layered that every bite felt like a mini trip back to the island. I’m definitely going back to explore the rest of the menu. If you’re looking for genuine Sri Lankan street food flavor, this is a must-try. Highly recommended for all food lovers! 🍽️🇱🇰

This is the second time my spouse and I have eaten here. The shrimp kottu and veggie patty were amazing. But the string hoppers and egg rotty were absolutely phenomenal. We'll be back!

I recently tried Serendib Kitchen in Hillsboro and was really impressed! The chicken kottu was excellent - perfectly cooked with a great blend of spices and just the right level of heat. It had that nice kick of spice without overpowering the flavor, which is hard to get right. The portion size was generous, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. The ginger tea was spot on! Service was friendly and prompt. The ambiance was great too -- relaxed and welcoming, with comfortable covered outdoor seating that made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely one of the best Sri Lankan dining experiences l've had in Oregon. I'll be back to try more from their menu!

Best Kottu in the Pacific Northwest! We’ve been craving authentic Sri Lankan food in the Portland area, and Serendip Kitchen absolutely delivered. The kottu tasted just like the ones in Sri Lanka; authentic & flavorful. Every other dish we tried was spot on. Service was 10/10. Danushka, the owner, is super friendly and clearly passionate about the food and his guests. So glad we found this place. We’ll definitely be back!

First and the only Sri Lankan restaurant in NW area. I accidentally tried this food when in Hillsboro area. I tried Kottu roti, and Chinese rolls which is very different food. Also tried a pink drink called Falooda, which is some similarity to Starbucks Pink Drink, but way way better. I have tried this restaurant many times after that. Worth trying this restaurant once and you will go many times again. Thank you also for the amazing friendly service.

Really nice people working here. They helped me decide on the chicken kottu, mild plus, freshly made, love the packaging, helps keep it warm and NOT PLASTIC. The food was delicious and I will be back!! Also the portion size was very large, it's at least 2 meals for me.

I recently had the chance to try out this Sri Lankan food cart and it was a fantastic experience. The dishes were vibrant, full of life, and layered with spices that told a story with every bite.. The use of spices was perfectly balanced. What I loved most was the homestyle feel of the food. You could taste the care in the cooking—it didn’t feel rushed or overly commercialized. Portions were generous, prices fair, and service was warm and welcoming. We tried String hoppers, Egg rotties, Devilled pork with rice, Fish rolls and Chicken kottu Each dish felt unique while still tying together as a complete meal. The dhal curry was creamy and comforting, while the chicken curry carried just the right amount of heat. The coconut sambol added a fresh, zesty kick that elevated everything on the plate. This food cart isn’t just a quick meal—it’s a little window into Sri Lanka’s culinary soul. If you’re craving something hearty, soulful, and refreshingly different from the usual street food lineup, this is an experience you don’t want to miss.

We take food quality and safety very seriously. All our meat is cooked to their required safe temperatures (for example, beef 145°F, pork 145°F, and chicken 165°F) and we make sure not to over-fry them after that.
