Don’t recommend this place. Came in on Monday Jan 19 to get a haircut for the “7 course” ahead of a business trip to Hong Kong. Stylist ended up cutting me on both sides of my neck. Reached out to customer service to better understand if this was a consistent experience and ended up having someone call me over a week later and explain this type of cut could have happened based on “being a zero gap trimmer” and berating me calling me “frustrated”.
The customer service representative did not apologize for what happened and asked me what body wash I was using and when I said Native Body wash, trying to pivot the conversation from what happened, which is fairly clean they went on to say it has parabens (which it does not) and interrogated me why I had not gone to a doctor yet (continuing to misunderstand that I’m in Hong Kong for work).
Would expect a place like this to have better customer service and not try to blame the customer or let alone berate a customer.

I perfer to keep my identity hidden. Im not going back, and i don't feel like helping the owners feel better about themselves.
It took forever to find the place. It literally looks like a strip club by the railroad tracks. Front desk was rude, my service was rushed. I was nicked by the neck shave. My hair was not blended properly. They kept pushing products on me to purchase. I just wanted to relax.
There are other salons with better people and don't give off sketchy vibes. I get treated well by the ladies at sportsclips and great clips. Yeah its a rushed budget haircut, thats why Im happy to pay $40 with tip, instead of $80.
Whoever runs this place is running a luxury sweat shop.

The staff from when I walked into the door till when I left was very professional and accommodating. Anh was very polite, professional, meticulous, and I could tell she has been cutting hair for a while. She has a true passion for her profession. I was conflicted about my hair style. She consulted with me and gave me one of, if not, the best haircut in my life. I didn’t feel rushed during the whole process and have already scheduled another appointment.

Alright… this place is legit.
Did the Seven Course today and it was hands-down one of the best grooming experiences I’ve had. Nicki, Jaeleen, and Sheri took care of me and absolutely crushed it. Super professional, super chill, and zero rushing.
The vibe is what really sold me—no packed waiting area, no sitting elbow-to-elbow with strangers. It’s open, relaxed, and actually feels like a place built for people who work hard but need to unplug for a bit. Huge upgrade from the usual “haircut turns into a 90-minute ordeal” situation.
Every service in the Seven Course was awesome and genuinely relaxing. The lounge is clutch too—I was able to take a couple calls and knock out some work before and after, which is perfect for anyone who’s always on the move.
After one visit, I’m seriously considering a membership. If you value your time and want a stress-free, premium experience, this is the move.

I give 1 because the application can give the lowest 1 star. If I had the chance to give 0, I would start 0. I make a reservation on January 16 at 11 o’clock on the 9th of the month. It is said that the person I chose by calling on the phone on the 15th cannot provide service. The reason why I don’t wait for 1 week is that the person does his job really well, I accept it by following a peaceful way on the phone and accept the new employee. When I come on time, the first shock is that the person I prefer is there! The employee, whom I accept because I have little time, tells me that he can only shave his hair, even though he has hair and beard, and makes a funny offer to refer me to someone else for a beard. The most disrespectful treatment I have ever seen in my life, I hope there is someone who considers the articles and reads them and acts accordingly.

My first visit to The Gents Place Southlake was the best initial haircut experience I’ve had. The entire team was welcoming from the moment I walked in, and the staff made a genuine effort to make me feel valued. As someone with a disability, I pay close attention to accessibility and treatment, and they were exceptionally accommodating in every part of the visit.
My stylist, Noehmi, set the tone. She was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind—exactly the kind of person you hope to find in a premium grooming establishment.
To the owner: you have an incredible staff. Their consistency, professionalism, and character show clearly in how they treat people the moment they walk through the door.
This visit exceeded expectations in every way. I’ll be returning, and I plan on buying a membership
Shannon H. gave me a great haircut yesterday and provided phenomenal service. She really took her time to evaluate my hair and give me the haircut I was looking for despite my inability to communicate it very clearly. She is the exact type of employee any business would be lucky to have and should incentivize to remain at their business. Will definitely be booking my next haircut with Shannon H. if possible.
