WOW I am SO impressed with my first order from sendcutsend.
Long story short, I am converting a Honda Goldwing GL1100 engine to sequential ignition / injection EFI for a crazy go kart project and I needed a small 36-1 trigger wheel for the crank and 1 tooth trigger for the cam. I designed the parts in fusion, 3D printed them to test fit them and once fit up was confirmed I uploaded my parts to sendcutsend.
The estimate said it would take about a week at the lowest rate and since I am in no hurry and don't have a ton of funds for this silly project the wait was not a big deal to me. $34.61 for two pieces made of .250" mild steel with 0 finishing work, cut and shipped to my door within a week is very reasonable.
The order was placed March 14th at 6:30pm and was delivered March 17th at 4pm. That is INSANELY fast. Do note that I live in the SF Bay Area so their Nevada location is very close, so if you are ordering something to the east coast like NYC it will likely take longer shipping wise. STILL, that is just bonkers turn around for the price.
The only slight issue I have is the 36-1 wheel has some small burrs and rough edges, but I asked for no finishing and don't mind hitting some of the edges with a file then cleaning them up on my bench grinder's steel wire wheel. If it came perfect I would be truly mind blown, but these are quite small teeth, so I get it. Would have been nice, but that obviously comes at a price. I will take a much closer look as I file the 36-1 wheel and I will report if I find any major issues, though I doubt I will.
The parts came well packaged in a small box, shrink wrapped to some sendcutsend branded cardboard AND they came with two pieces of candy AND a rad sticker that says, "CUT METAL" which I immediately stuck to my laptop.
OVERALL though there is no way I would have been able to source a local machinist ( who likely would be a grumpy old fart who wants nothing to do with my silly project ) to make the parts, ship them to my door and provide free candy and a sticker hahahah.
Lifetime customer for SURE. I am going to mention them in my next youtube video for my go kart project, making sure to say I am not sponsored and I paid for everything out of pocket and am BLOWN away by the service. No BS negotiations, no "where is your spec sheet", no hassle, no delay, nothing. Just upload your file, here is your part, enjoy the candy, here is a sticker. 10/10. Truly a fantastic service.
At one point I had even considered building a small cnc plasma cutter on the cheap, but I don't really have the space and I'm not sure how often I would use it. No setup, no fussing with calibration, no space taken up in my garage etc. If I was ordering every day for money making projects, sure, now I can justify the cost of a new machine, but for one off parts every once in a while? No way.
Again, wow. This is suuuuch a killer service. Way to go sendcutsend. I have no idea how anyone will be able to compete with such an awesome experience.

I've been working for months on a hobby project designing custom structural parts for an electric unicycle that I take way out into the desert and mountain wilderness. I was ready to move past my endless 3D-printed prototypes and knew that I wanted my parts to be made from aluminum, but had no idea where to even begin. A buddy of mine recommended SendCutSend so I took a peek at their website.
And I was absolutely blown away. In the best way.
I went in expecting your typical anecdotal "Oh, we do CNC stuff and nothing else, that'll be a $300 consultation fee!" followed by weeks of them telling me to 'refer to the chart' whenever I wanted clarification or had a question. Instead, I was met by a well-designed website that was easy to navigate and told me everything I needed to know upfront. I could select from a huge number of materials, multiple types of cutting services, hole operations (drilling, tapping, etc...), bending/forming, surfacing and prepping, you name it!
I was practically champing at the bit! But I hesitated... I'd never used a service like this before and had no idea where to start, who I had to talk to, what it was going to cost, anything. Then I saw that they have this fantastic tool that gives you an instant quote for your part based on your material/service criteria, and all you need to do is upload a 3D file for your part (standard .step or .stp format)! I spent a few minutes making and uploading the files for what I wanted made, selected my materials (6061 aluminum in my case), cutting method and finishing options, and I was immediately given my pricing for the parts. Shipping was included in the price, and ordering multiples of an item stacked on some GREAT discounts! It was honestly surprising how reasonable the prices were, and I was so impressed that I just went for it and submitted the order.
And that was it. I was done. They gave me a delivery date of just over a week later, and provided me with a tracking tool so I could see the progress of my parts being made, which kept the obsessive maniac in me satisfied until they arrived. Right on time, just over a week later. I had been worrying all week about how the parts were going to be packaged -- I had ordered their black anodized finish on all of my parts and knew that it can get scratched if there was any jostling in transit. Well, I got the box open and holy crap... It nearly brought a tear to my eye. The parts were all individually vacuum sealed (I assume) to a stiff paper backing inside the box, holding them all perfectly safe and, more importantly, not rubbing together and damaging their surfaces! Everything was padded and protected with more layers of stiff, crumpled paper to protect from shipping/box damage. I got the parts out for an inspection and could not be happier with the results.
Like I said above, SendCutSend is a fantastic company that did phenomenal work on their website and the entire ordering experience. The amount of information they have available to help you decide exactly what you want is truly outstanding. They have guides and explanatory pages for all of their services and materials (even the individual GRADES of the materials!), tons of examples and FAQs, calculators and templates, the list goes on! I have been singing their praises to all of my friends and coworkers ever since I ordered from them, and I intend to be back every time I'm ready to give my 3D printer a break and have something made for actual use.

Super easy. I used an open source free 2D CAD program (libreCAD) to draw it up. I exported the file and loaded to SendCutSend. Almost instantly It processed the file, showed a rendering online of my part and gave me prices for the material of my choice. The part arrived at my house 4 or 5 days later. I could have made this on my own, but it wouldn’t have been as good, and I would have driven all over to get the right material wasting more time and money. This was super convenient, fast, fairly priced, and super accurate to the drawing dimensions. I am impressed
