Sabrina and the team arrived to analyse my issue. Really friendly and reassuring. Arrived on time to carry out the work and finished on time. Tidy and very efficient team and the fact I received a guarantee for the work gave me piece of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to use SE Damp Soutions in the future.
Be Cautious. They were great to deal with, they did a very nice job of the damp proofing, with no visible signs of any issues 6 months down the line. The sump pump is still working nicely and all the major things, are done as they should be.
But, there are some small niggly things and 2 very major things that bought this review down by 2 stars.
There were quite a few... not so pretty blemishes that affect the overall fit and finish.
-For example, not boxing in the sump pump pipe. It would have taken a plasterer a small bit of extra time to box it in to look smarter and run quieter.
-They left a noticeable bump in the wall where an original shelf fitting was installed. It can only be seen at certain angles, but a little annoying.
The major things are not so excusable.
1. We never got any form of warranty/guarantee for the work that was done, despite being told there was 25 years of it? This means if we ever go to sell the house, this will bring the overall value down.
2. The sump pump outlet was going straight onto the outside path which is used by the other houses. The council then sent us a letter stating that this was illegal as it is dangerous to pedestrians, and it HAS to go into a designated water runoff (downpipe, sewer etc), not just onto the path.
We then paid £500 for a qualified builder to come and redo the pipe, who then discovered that the water was running under the kitchen floor, through an air vent and rotting out our kitchen floor. If this was left going any longer, we could have got subsidence or needed the entire foundation redoing.

Sabrina has successfully carried out two jobs for me over the past six months which involved treating rising damp in Victorian properties. These were done promptly and efficiently and I was pleased with the results. Unfortunately there have been some issues with a more recent job which did not go as smoothly. However, we have now reached an amicable agreement to resolve the matter.

This company may well have good reviews however they are incapable of dealing with customer complaints. They messed up damp proofing a shower cubicle and even when presented with clear evidence of their failure did everything they could to avoid putting things right. The remedial work is being done by other contractors. Tread carefully, there are many other businesses to use.

Dreadful company. Unreliable and avoided calls. Broke an antique vase and denied it! If they had just admitted it and given me the piece, rather than lying, I could have glued it, which would have been some consolation. I don’t understand the good reviews as they were a living nightmare for me. Nobody knew what they were doing and the unprofessionalism showed! Avoid !!!
