This practice is just about as good as it gets. Dr. Ida and her whole team are highly knowledgeable, caring, warm, always very thorough in their work, and patient. They are very proactive in identifying any potential issues, and then generous in sharing education/support and time with parents and patients.
The front desk is eminently professional, and very supportive and efficient with everything from insurance issues to extensive scheduling logistics. Visiting the dentist is like a ray of sunshine - with a team this skilled and with toys throughout their office. My toddler and preschooler beg to go to the dentist!!
My 8 year-old son went in for his 3-month desensitization appointment. Seaside Dental provides this service to help young children build confidence, comfort, along with positive experiences and relationships at the dental office. A couple of hours before the appointment, I got a call telling me that his regular dental hygienist wasn’t working that day. I felt confident that another hygienist would work just as well.
I was very pleased that she was indeed wonderful with my son. She (I cannot remember her name unfortunately) was extremely positive, kind, deftly took her cues from my son when he was distracted, had requests or uncertain anytime during the visit. This woman is either a mom, big sister or someone who clearly understands children and effective ways to work with them.
I am grateful for the diligent and supportive care Seaside Dental provides for my children. I now truly understand the importance of pediatric dental practices. I wish I had a pediatric dentist when I was a child.
Dr. Sam is great with my 17 month old who is much stronger with hating the dentist than he was at 10 months old! The dental assistants are great with kids, especially Kelly who patiently and enthusiastically answered all of my questions! Highly recommend Seaside Dental for little ones! They are professional, kind, and have a clean & modern office.
Found an appointment for my son the same week. Easy online registration process, and they called me the same day to confirm an appointment. The appointment was great. Dr. Ida and her staff are naturals with children and have a great setup to make them feel comfortable. I would recommend Seaside Kids Dental
I can’t say enough good things about Dr Ida and Seaside Kids Dental! They’ve magically been able to make my kid feel comfortable since she first starting going around 2 years old. But this weekend we had a dental emergency and their response truly went above and beyond. I had an immediate phone call response late night from Dr Ida who told us exactly how to handle the situation, and they saw us first thing the next morning. My daughter literally didn’t want to leave the office at the end of that visit because she was having so much fun with Dr Ida and Shelly. They turned a traumatic situation into a fun weekend outing. I am SO grateful for their incredible care of my daughter. Thank you Seaside team!
I couldn’t recommend this practice more. My 4 year old absolutely DOES NOT let strangers near her, much less touch her. I had been dreading a dentist visit for a while. She screamed the whole drive there, but by within 2 minutes in the door, the she was put completely at ease by the staff, picking out books to read and playing with their toys. She got to brush a stuffy’s teeth, and they made the xray machine feel fun because she got to take pretend xrays of her dad’s teeth first. The team explained to her every step of the process, checked in with her if it was ok, and made her feel empowered and safe. She ended up loving it so much she didn’t want to leave. The next day she asked when she can go back. I’m honestly still in shock it went so well and I’m so thankful to have found this gem.
Dr. Ida, and the staff at seaside dental are all so lovely. I’ve been taking my son there since he was just a little guy and every visit and experience has been wonderful. Dr. Ida and her staff have an amazing bedside manner and way with little kids, so happy we found her and this practice!
We have loved this dental office! When the previous owner sold the business and it became Seaside Kids Dental I was worried that it wouldn't be as good. Shouldn't have been though because we love Ida and her team just as much. Sadly, they are no longer taking Delta Dental, so we are moving to another provider, that's the only downside.

Super snobby no longer accepting Delta dental made my family and wife feel out of place wanted to charge us for an x-ray knowing that Delta dental was not gonna cover it. I’m glad they don’t accept my coverage no longer have to deal with them.

Regarding x-rays, our longstanding policy is to explain recommendations in advance, including when a service may not be covered by insurance, and to give families the choice to proceed or decline. Our goal is always transparency and informed decision-making.

All around a fantastic experience every time! It seems we never have any wait time, the office is so inviting for kids from the bright colored walls, toys in the waiting room and warm welcomes from staff. The dentists and assistants are beyond patient, and have the most gentle demeanors, it’s as if they’ve lived other lives in childcare. They are so helpful too with text reminders for busy parents. I recently scheduled my son’s first dental appointment with Seaside Kids Dental, and I couldn’t be more impressed. I let them know that my son is autistic, and they immediately took that into thoughtful consideration. The entire team moved at his pace, making sure he felt comfortable every step of the way. They talked with him, checked in often, played with him, and turned what could have been a stressful visit into a positive and engaging experience.
While they weren’t able to complete his full set of X-rays this time, their priority was to ensure that his first visit felt safe and enjoyable so that next time, he’ll know exactly what to expect and feel even more at ease.
The office itself is spotless, warm, and incredibly kid-friendly. I’m so grateful for how kind and patient the staff were, and I can confidently say we’ve found our dental home for years to come.
