DR FRED IS AWESOME! No pain and I had a deep deep deep cavity from the injection to the filling I felt no pain at all! He is super nice and so is his staff! If you ever need a dentist who is transparent, doesn't try to upsell or pressure you into doing something you can't afford or want a pain free experience I highly recommend this dentist!!!! I did a professional cleaning and fillings here and everything went very well. Dr Harandi was very professional, I felt no discomfort during the procedure and he asked me how I feel a few days later

I initially had a great experience with this office. My first dental cleaning went smoothly, and I was happy with the care I received. However, my recent experience has been frustrating.
I showed up for my appointment today only to find the office was closed. There was no prior notification about the cancellation, and I was still receiving appointments reminders up til yesterday for my appointment today. I wasted three hours of PTO for this appointment and I now have to take additional PTO for the rescheduled appointment.
While the quality of care has been good, the lack of communication and consideration for patients' time is disappointing. I hope the office improves its scheduling and communication in the future
Very thankful for this place! Earlier today, I started experiencing pain in my tooth and I was ready to be told the next appt would need to be after NYE, but I was very pleasantly surprised they decided to accommodate me within a few hours, and on their last day of work before closing for a few weeks for the holidays! They referred me to a specialist for my issue and they even called the place to get me an appt next week.

Great place. Everyone is nice and friendly. Clarissa is one of the nicest front desk receptionists making it easy to book an appointment. The ease and kindness of all employees makes it a nice place to get dental treatment. I recommend to anyone in San Diego area!

When I first moved to San Diego in 2020, I was very worried about finding a new dental office because I've had bad experiences with others in the past.
I tried this office and from the first visit to this very day, I have had amazing experiences with Dr. Harandi and the entire staff there.
They are patient, understanding, kind, but also very efficient. My teeth cleanings are smooth and done in a very timely manner. I am surprised at how convenient going to this office really is.

I have been a patient at this office for the past 10 years and I love it. Dr. Fred and his staff are amazing!! Always professional, helpful and friendly. The front office ladies are the best and Amber is great! Dr. Fred is excellent at making sure that you are comfortable and not in pain during any procedure. He has a great, steady hand.
I've had tried several dentists around town, but was never fully happy with the experience. Dr. Fred and his staff are fair and are never trying to up sale you any unnecessary services. They are always spot on with my dental needs and are able to fix anything before it gets too big. Amber is AWESOME!!! I get my teeth cleaned every four months. I have very sensitive teeth and she always makes sure to provide me with a pleasant, pain-free experience. Not to mention that she's very sweet and kind. I totally trust them and feel very at ease with every visit. Hands down, the best dental office I've had in the past 20 years.
Before finding Dr Fred I had had some pretty traumatic dental experiences. I hate to admit it, but it had been seven years since I had seen a dentist, but my experience with Dr Fred was so amazing that I go every six months without fail.
His staff is so warm and receptive and his office is so inviting, they make me feel very comfortable. They also have great communication and ensure that you know when your appointments coming up so you don't miss a thing.
I have been coming to Dr Fred for eight years now, and everyone of my family now comes here and friends we have referred.
Other offices were always trying to upsell us, and I was very uncomfortable with that. But I have never felt sold to in this office.

I went in for my first appointment and decided to not come back. To beginning with the fact that as soon as a came in employee are yelling to each other. I was told that I had an absurd amount of cavities (which with new X-rays and imaging that amount went down) and I needed a deep cleaning (which is never a bad thing to do) but the quote I was given was extremely high considering I have insurance, I was told I was going to receive a copy of the quote and a referral to see an orthodontist that never happened. I originally had booked my second appointment to get some of the filling done. But the fact that I never received the actual quote made me feel uneasy and I keep having a gut feeling that something was not right. I ended up canceling my appointment and went for a second and third opinion. Good thing I did, what I was told was a simple filling, ended up being a root canal and crown (the two different dentist I saw after this once they both concluded that it was root canal and crown not a filling ) If I had done the feeling I could have ended up losing a tooth later on and paying more money for something that could have been prevented. Also, they kept trying to make me get invisaling. Overall my experience here was bad from beginning to end. I'm definitely never going back and will not recommend.
Dr. Fred is great! I have so much anxiety from dental appointments but he made me feel at ease. I had multiple appointments with him and every time I go he has the biggest smile on his face! His staff are also very nice & friendly. I had to bring my baby to one of the appointments and they were so nice talking to her and offering a toy made of medical gloves.

Dr Fred was amazing in making me feel comfortable and didn't feel any pain! And Clarissa has Best Patient Bedside care making you feel relaxed. The front office staff has the best customer service and this was my first time coming I had tooth sensitivity pain they fit me in right away with no hesitation. I recommend this dentist. I give them 10 stars .. I've already recommended my husband and told a couple of friends. I RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST, DR. FRED AND STAFF TO EVERYONE IN THE COMMUNITY.

My daughter has had a LOT of trauma and while it's been a learning curve with her, they've been truly kind and accommodating.

Great practice. Very kind people. I've always been treated well when entering this dental practice. They are easy to get to from all areas of San Diego as they are close to the freeway. They are professional and their offices are clean. They are not pushy on prescribing unnecessary extras or treatments as can sometimes happen in the health care system. In addition to all of this, they have been very understanding of the occasional last minute university obligation that gets scheduled without my control.
Step right up, folks, for the comedy event of the dental world! If laughter is the best medicine, then Dr. Fred's office is the Mayo Clinic of molar magic. This isn't just a dental office, it's a toothy wonderland where the staff are so nice, you'll suspect they're actually Disney characters in disguise. The scheduling system is so seamless, it must be run by time-traveling wizards - you get reminders for your appointment with more regularity than a sitcom's laugh track.
But wait, there's more! When the dreaded 'root canal' words were uttered, I didn't have to embark on an epic quest to the far corners of the medical world. Nope, everything was done in-house, with the efficiency of a pit-stop at a Formula 1 race. And let's talk about the Netflix goggles - they're cooler than the other side of the pillow, turning a dental drill session into a binge-worthy cinema experience.
And Dr. Fred? Oh, Dr. Fred is the Gandalf of gums, the Dumbledore of dentistry - he's so good, you'll want to get cavities just to see him work his magic. This guy is a creep. Made me feel uncomfortable during my visit. Im a grown man and dont get uncomfortable around most people. I would never come back here again, there are better dentists in San Diego.
