I’ve been going to this dentist for a couple years now and I love it. My children love it too. Kristi our hygienist is excellent at what she does. The customer service through the experience is unmatched and our comfort is their highest priority. I had to go in for fillings today and actually enjoyed a procedure I would normally dread. From my weighted blanket, to my beats headphones to how beautiful it smells when I walk in. Every detail is thoughtfully considered.
Thank you so much for this glowing review, Xena! We love having you and your family in our practice. I'm so happy to hear that you love these elements of our practice - it is so important to us that our patients (and friends!) feel maximally comfortable for a dental visit - which also involves making our dental office feel less like one! We look forward to serving you and your family for many years to come!

Update: Their Reply Was Faster Than Their Actual Office - FULL STORY 👇🏽
Thank you for the reply, but a few things definitely need clearing up!
First, I was never a patient, not because I did not want to be, but because of the lack of communication in your office. You mentioned receiving my request on Friday, November 7th and that you are closed on Fridays. Cute timeline, but that was actually my third attempt. My first was the week of October 27th during your posted business hours. Ignoring previous attempts does not mean they did not happen.
Your receptionist also told me she would reach out to schedule an appointment, and that if she could not get me in, she would send me a list of recommended dentists. I received neither. No call, no list, no nothing. So yes, the communication problem was very real!
I know how a veneer consultation works. The process was never the issue. The issue was that no one in your office responded long enough for me to even start the process!
As for pricing, you are absolutely correct that you are not the cheapest. Not in Newnan, not in Georgia, and definitely not in the United States. My dentist in Los Angeles who works on public figures charges less. Unless Newnan secretly became Beverly Hills, those prices feel a bit ambitious!
Regarding veneer types, calling it a “vast catalog” was entertaining, but the main categories are laminate, porcelain, and porcelain laminate. Top labs in California create beautiful veneers without needing a mysterious encyclopedia of materials. So the idea that pricing is all “lab selection” feels more like a sales pitch than reality.
My review was never about your skills. I am sure many patients love your work. My experience was about communication and accessibility, both of which fell short. When it’s this hard to get a simple response and the prices are sky high, people deserve to know. You may have mentors in LA and New York, but Newnan is not LA or NYC, and expectations here are different.
I stand by my review, and I hope it helps future patients get a clearer picture before choosing a cosmetic dentist. Best of luck to you, and best of luck to anyone ready to pay Hollywood prices in a Georgia ZIP code

⭐☆☆☆☆ Maybe Their Phones Have Cavities Too?
I’m honestly starting to wonder why companies like Shultz Family Dental Office even bother having an online booking portal. I’ve filled it out twice and apparently my appointment requests went to the same place socks go after laundry.
After getting ghosted by the form, I called the office. They politely promised to get back to me, which must be code for “we won’t.” At this point, I’m questioning whether I should trust a dentist who can’t even handle a phone call, let alone a Veneer.
Seriously, Georgia must have some kind of secret dentist challenge where the goal is to make booking an appointment harder than pulling teeth 🦷
After getting ghosted by the form, I finally called the office myself and actually got through. Progress, right? Unfortunately, that’s where the good news ended. I was quoted $2,500 per tooth. Yes, per tooth. I couldn’t help but notice that the little cluster of dental offices in this area all seem to have caught the same “price inflation” bug.
Out of curiosity, I looked up average costs through CareCredit and, let’s just say, the numbers don’t exactly line up. When I asked what material they were quoting for porcelain, porcelain laminate, or composite. I got a vague answer that it was “lab made, so it’s definitely porcelain.” Which one, though? Because, news flash, composite can be lab made too. Hmm.
At this point, I’m not sure if I need a dentist or a business consultant, but either way, I’ll be taking my teeth and my trust somewhere a little more transparent 🧐
I'm sorry to read that you feel so negatively about our office, never having been a patient. There's a lot to unpack in your review, so please allow me to do so for our readership.
We received your appointment request for a veneer consultation on Friday, November 7th at 1:47pm. Those requests come directly to my email address from our website with a time stamp. Our office is closed on Fridays, and these hours are posted both on Google and on our website - which is why you did not immediately hear back from my team. According to our phone and text logs, my team communicated with you regarding your request on Monday, November 10th, the following business day. We do have an emergency line, with contact information detailed on our answering machine when our office is closed; however, I never received a text or call to that number, which I would have expected if you required more immediate attention.
As my team shared with you, our process for a veneer consultation is a little different than your run-of-the-mill dental practice. Without seeing the condition of your teeth, reviewing your goals for treatment, and assessing the condition of any current veneers, it's difficult to give a prospective patient hard estimates over the phone. There are many variables that can change a quote like this - which is why we like to meet our patients and complete an exam prior to presenting a plan for care.
That being said, we are definitely not the cheapest game in town. We were awarded Newnan's Best Cosmetic Dentist this year - and we earned that distinction because we deliver great outcomes to happy patients who nominated us for this honor. We charge a reasonable fee for our veneers, and set our prices based on the National Dental Advisory Service, which aggregates data from across the country with geographic multipliers to establish ranges for specific dental procedures in our neck of the woods. Our fees are not arbitrary. My mentors in New York and LA charge up to $5,000 per veneer, and I'm sure you can find a practice that will charge you less than $2,500 per veneer. But not all veneers are created equal, and prospective patients typically don't know that.
The cost of a single veneer (or multiple) has a lot to do with the skill set of the practitioner, the ceramist/lab they choose to use, their own artistic skills, the time they spend with their patient, and a keen eye for detail. I've taken many advanced education courses, beyond what is required for my profession, in order to become proficient with cosmetic dentistry. I have a fantastic ceramist who customizes my veneers, and I have an amazing team that delivers exceptional care. For that level of service, I believe our fee is reasonable. If our fees are too expensive for your comfort, I'm sure you'll be able to find another practice - it's a free market. But a word to the wise, wherever you may go: cheap ain't good and good ain't cheap.
As far as material selection goes, there are also many possibilities here. Veneers can be made out of a number of materials, and this selection is best made after an assessment of your individual situation, an evaluation of your bite (as certain materials are stronger than others), and a review of your goals for treatment. In our office, "lab-made" veneers are made out of ceramic or porcelain - not composite. I use composite to fabricate chairside veneers, but I do not use a lab to fabricate permanent composite veneers - which is why my team member answered your question the way she did.
All of this to say, I'm sure you can now understand why this is a lot to discuss in a single phone call with an administrative team member. We don't lack transparency - we customize treatment plans for each of our patients, which is just not something we're able to do in its entirety over the phone.
We wish you the best in your search for a dental practice better suited to your needs.
