I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Aves Hotel & Resort in Montezuma, and it was one of the most transformative experiences I’ve ever had. The resort is absolutely beautiful—lush greenery, peaceful pathways, stunning ocean and jungle views from the shala, and even monkeys in the trees during practice. My room by the pool felt like a true sanctuary, and the staff were incredibly warm and helpful, arranging shuttles, taxis, and local tours with ease. The training itself was thoughtfully structured, with daily yoga, meditation, philosophy, and teaching practice. The food was delicious and fresh, and the pools were the perfect break from the heat. We explored Montezuma on our day off, went ziplining, and swam in waterfalls. What made the experience unforgettable was the community. Our diverse group of women quickly formed deep connections, and the facilitators, Mindi and Nadine, created a supportive, grounding environment. Their backgrounds in psychology and social work made the space feel safe, reflective, and deeply human.

I recently completed SYI's 200-YTT at the beautiful Bumi Cinta Retreat Center on the northern side of Bali. It was one of the loveliest experiences I've ever had and I cannot recommend the program, teachers or location highly enough. The warm and attentive Bumi Cinta staff welcome you in as their own. Chef Twi shops the local market daily to cook gorgeous vegan food that was plentiful, delicious and filling. General Manager Nyoman kept us entertained and educated on the Balinese way of life with humor, dancing, local traditions and excursions. We started each day with meditation and yoga in a beautiful space overlooking the jungle and sea below. Our two instructors, Javi and April, are both seasoned practitioners and educators, and clearly live the life they are teaching. The curriculum is structured into core teaching principles in the morning, and a breakdown of the poses in the afternoon. Each evening concludes with a spectrum of special activities that deepen our time together. All in all, it was a memorable three weeks together I will never forget!

I just finished my 200 YTT at SYI Bali Bumi Cinta and I am delighted that I chose to do my training here. Their emphasis on the Peruvian Medicine Wheel provided a spiritual depth and exploration into yogic philosophy that I had not considered. I not only feel equipped to teach yoga to others, but I was able to experience deeper healing from past traumas that I have carried and been healing for years. I just completed my 300hr in the Sacred Valley of Peru with Anita and Raquelle. What an amazing experience it was! The land itself was so healing and the facilitators held such a welcoming, supportive, and authentic space for all of us. I learned SO much and I am so excited to use this knowledge to not only expand my teachings, but my experience as a student. I highly recommend SYI for anyone looking to complete a yoga teacher training. The owner of the school is very great with organization and communication and is happy to answer any question you have. I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Peru in June 2025 with SYI and had an incredible experience. It was a good balance between applied yoga, anatomy, and philosophy and also featured some added bonus experiences (e.g. shaman ceremony, tesmescal ceremony and cacao ceremony). The teachers were really knowledgeable and experienced and the host resort (Munay Sonqo) was also really comfortable.

I just finished a 200hr mystical yoga teacher training in Costa Rica at the Mal Pais location and it was nothing short of magical. The instructors (Brandi and Shaun) were (are) the most amazing people I’ve ever met. They are so kind, accepting, and inspiring. Indigo Yoga Resort was so beautiful and the food was amazing. It was so far beyond a yoga training and beyond anything I could have imagined. 10/10 recommend!
