A fun Afternoon Adventure
I took 3 of my teenage grands up to Stanley to show them places their papa and I used to like to spend time, when we lived in Idaho. I wanted to take the hiking (which isn’t the favorite activity of any of them) and decided to do something they would really enjoy too. Grayson was our guide and he did a great job. I over heard the grands that evening talking. The consensus was that he was “real chill”.
Even the Rain Couldn’t Ruin This Adventure!
We had such an incredible experience with Sawtooth Adventure Company—even with the rain, it turned into one of those unforgettable, joy-filled days you can’t stop smiling about.
We braved Class 3 rapids (MY FIRST TIME) with the amazing Kaiya as our river guide. She was confident, fun, and so in tune with both the river and the group. Her calm energy and sense of humor made the adventure feel exciting but never intimidating. We felt safe, supported, and fully immersed in the moment—even soaked in rain!
Our bus driver Scarlett was equally fantastic—warm, funny, and just the kind of person you love to start and end your trip with. She made the ride feel like part of the adventure itself.
We also had two other wonderful guides leading the other rafts—everyone brought such great energy and encouragement. One of the most memorable moments was watching a group of young adults from Maine—way braver than we were!—all jump off Jump Rock into the freezing river. Total rockstars. We cheered them on from the boat while being very content to stay dry-ish.
And to top it all off? Grace’s chocolate chip cookie bars on the ride back—pure happiness after a wet and wild afternoon.
Highly, highly recommend this company, and if you’re lucky enough to have Kaiya guiding your raft and Scarlett behind the wheel, you’re in for a truly unforgettable day.

We had an amazing experience rafting for a day trip out of Stanley Idaho. In fact, we had so much fun that we went back a second time in a week, once rafting and once on a kayak. Would particularly recommend Hans and Kaiya as our guides, very professional, upbeat and fun. A great company and a fabulous time.
Fun and memorable day on the Salmon River with our guide Will Stack and the Sawtooth Adventure Company crew. Cannot recommend this outfit enough! Will was attentive and entertaining with all of us, but with our 5-year old especially who was made "Apprentice Whitewater Guide" for the day, a day he no doubt will remember fondly. Ask for Will as your guide, you won't be disappointed! We look forward to our next adventure with SAC, our trip on the river today has us planning our next trip already.

Pierce was our guide and he was phenomenal!A first class experience all the way.Included a beautiful, scenic short hike (optional).The lunch was home made and prepared fresh right in front of us.The picnic grounds were already set up for us in the shade.Can't say enough great things about our guide.
We had so much fun with the Sawtooth Adventure Company crew! It was our first inflatable kayak experience and Logan was an awesome guide! He was informative and excited the whole time. He also came in clutch with fruit snacks, so that made things even better. 🙌🏻 Special shoutout to Hans for adapting quickly and Kaiya for throwing together an amazing lunch!

We had an incredible time doing two different day trips with Sawtooth Adventure Company! The guides were so fun, they were well prepared, the stretches of river were perfect for the different group trips we did.
Logan was awesome and extremely helpful on our first experience kayaking. Great group of people who make the trip worth it, do the lunch if you can, it was delicious.

My husband and I had such a fun time on the kayak lunch tour - Logan and Grace were awesome!!! They did such a great job explaining different sections of the river, lunch was delicious and the lunch spot is beautiful. We felt very safe despite not having much whitewater experience. Highly recommend!
