I had the pleasure of having Pablo as our guide and am grateful. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and kind. I learned so much about not only the history of Puerto Rico and the cultural and historical significance of food in its culture but also about the Caribbean as a whole. I even gained some new fun facts about Cuba that I didn’t know ( and I’m Cuban! lol). And the food we tried at every stop was fantastic and true representation of the flavors of Puerto Rico. Whatever you’re paying this smart young man, double it! Pablo is a gem!

All of the food we tasted were of poor quality and unsavory. The saving grace of this food tour was our very knowledgeable and friendly guide, Carola. We loved her. Mofongo was very disappointing. Piña colada is a disgrace to Puerto Rico. The coffee was good, though.

We had a very knowledgeable tour guide Carola!! The food was pretty good. For the price more food try’s would’ve been nice. Ceviche was amazing!! Overall I would do the tour again.

What a great tour! The meeting spot was super easy to find, our guide, Nahiomy, was early but gave us space to just hang out before the tour started. It turned out to be a small group of 4 which made the tour feel personalized. It was an extremely hot day but Nahiomy was so good about stopping in shady spots to talk about the buildings and statues and what not. Nahiomy’s English was phenomenal! We could understand her completely and boy was she informative!!! I don’t know how she holds all of that knowledge in her brain! Her manner of speaking and enthusiasm to tell us about the Old City made it clear that being a tour guide & teaching others about her island is her passion. She even offered to take photos of us and gave us some great restaurant recommendations! I wouldn’t call the walk strenuous but be sure to wear either good walking sandals or socks & sneakers. Avoid flip flops. Bring lots of water. There were two bathrooms breaks at which we had the opportunity to buy water or shaved ice if we needed it. I would absolutely book this tour again!

Amazing experience ! Naomi was our tour guide & she did an excellent job giving us the history of the restaurants we stopped at + more. She was also very friendly & easy to talk to. I would definitely love to return & do it all over again.

What a fantastic time we had! Our tour guide knew so many things about Puerto Rico and the culture, we clung to his stories. And the places we went to eat ... so yummy! I was full before the end of the tour, so much eating. It was really fun and I would recommend doing this.

Alberto was an amazing guide that brought so much excitement and engagement to the tour that everyone appreciated. He was so passionate about his country’s food, culture and history and I could spend an entire day learning from him. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn about Old San Juan while having great food. I also liked how the food came from mom and pop restaurants/establishments.
