Unfortunately, my experience with this attorney was very frustrating. Communication throughout my case was extremely poor. I often felt like I had to figure things out on my own and was not kept informed about important developments in my case.
At one of my court settings, I waited for approximately three hours because I was expecting my attorney to be there. I was not informed beforehand that I did not need to attend and i drove from almost 2 hours away just to show up, and there was very little communication about what was happening.
I was also not personally informed by my attorney that he was withdrawing from my case. I only became aware after seeing the court’s order granting his withdrawal. Finding out that way was extremely stressful, especially because my case is still ongoing.
I understand that attorneys may have legitimate reasons for withdrawing from a case, and I’m not commenting on the reason for his withdrawal. My concern is the lack of communication and the way these situations were handled. I expected to be kept informed about what was happening with my own case.
