Beyond thrilled with how beautiful my garden has turned out so far with these seeds. My front yard was full of sunflowers for 3 months an I now have eggplant, tomatoes, lettuce, radishes, carrots and eggplant all thriving. Brijette is amazing and took the time and patience to explain the best method for planting wildflowers for spring and yard maintenance right before I made a terrible mistake! THANK YOU! Hoping to attend the gardener workshops in February. 100/100 and will plan to always buy my seeds from here on out :).

Nov 2025 update: San Diego Seed Company saves the day again. I was being impatient with potatoes and ordered from a different company to save some sprout time. The other company’s potatoes have not sprouted at all since the beginning of October. I ordered SDSC seed potatoes and put them in the dark cupboard next to the other potatoes and they’re already sprouting eyes. It has been maybe a week? I’ll be getting that potato harvest as expected thanks to SDSC. Truly love this company! Original review: Amazing customer service. I accidentally ordered double of something and they were so quick to fix that for me. This is my second time ordering from them and it is has been a pleasant surprise to see what seed pack they treated me with! Love this team

I'm glad the potatoes are finally ready for sale and shipment. I wish "determinate" or "indeterminate" were in the variety descriptions. I found that the indeterminate potatoes I grew (German Butterball) not only took a lot longer, but they were buried deep and were harder to harvest.

I wanted to buy a particular product which was sold out, so I put my name on a list to be notified. I got the notification, but the item showed as not available. After checking twice I called the company. The nicest and best informed young woman answered explained what the problem most likely was (companies buying 100lbs. at once) and helped me to see my alternatives. Her name was Karen. Great customer service person!

So grateful to San Diego Seed Company for their generosity towards our school garden program and incredible educational resources! I teach Botany to students at a Title I high school in LA County. As part of the class, students get to learn how to grow their own food and help take care of the school's garden, farm & fruit orchard. The donation we recieved from San Diego Seed Company gave my students the opportunity to experience growing from seed for the first time! It's amazing to see the joy, confidence and wonder that comes when they finally get to eat something they started from a tiny seed months before. I love teaching my students about the importance of regionally-adapted seeds, pollinator and native plants by growing from SDSC's hand-selected varieties and am constantly referring to their educational resources to increase my own knowledge of plant science and sustainable growing practices and create new leanring material for my students. I can't speak highly enough about Brijette & her awesome team at SDSC!

I ordered Romaine Lettuce seeds and they work perfectly. All viable seeds and sprouted very quickly. Fresh seeds. I'm very pleased. Will purchase from this company again. As an added bonus they threw in a Chinese broccli seed pack! for free!

Two years ago, I took the seed starting class in person, on their farm and learned how to start plants from seed and how to increase my germination rate. I love this local business. You would think SD would be the easiest place to grow vegetables. I had pretty mediocre results until I started buying SD Seed Company Seeds. They are specifically developed and selected to thrive in our climate (I am Zone 10B) over years of work. Brijette Peña is super passionate about her company.
