I spent the past three days in the hallway right outside of X-ray and mri rooms the busiest part of the hotel I asked for a tooth brush I asked for something to wipe my face off with I got nothing for three day I asked for a gown or something to change into to be more comfortable nothing I had been sweating thru my sheets they never changed them my IV pole had black mold on it. This hospital fails in every level the only care that your a number. I have insurance and a back up insurance they really don’t care!

My husband went to the Kennedy Emergency department in February 2025 . He was having serious side effects to high dose prednisone. He was seen immediately ; admitted overnight. The next day he was transferred to the Davis Island TGH . The Davis Island emergency department was very busy but we are forever grateful for the care. The next day he was transferred to Moffitt ( he is a Moffitt patient) . Thank you to Dr To (Internal Medicine) who went way beyond to be sure my husband received excellent care. Nurse on duty 4th south, Michelle,denied chest my correct blood pressure meds and my chest pain meds. Told me there was no such script. According to the pharmacy rep. I do have those scripts. Then up discharge, when I asked who will remove my needles for testing Michelle said I use UTube. I asked her to reply that and she did the only witness is a studen

The women in radiology were extremely kind, caring, and compassionate. I appreciate how nice they were towards me. Thank you!

With that said, there could be a little bit more order and direction in the hospital (nothing to do with radiology - that was all good). My husband and I spent as much time in the parking garage, waiting in lines, getting lost in the hospital, and walking the 50,000 steps to find where we were supposed to go than we did for my whole appointment.

Had a kidney stone procedure to remove it from my right ureter. This is my third time in 18 years having this surgical procedure at this great hospital. The facilities are always being updated to the most modern systems and the medical staff is usually professionally attentive, caring and excellent in their individual fields, from nurse assistants to cleaning staff to radiologists, RNs, ARNPs and doctors of all specialties.
Their cafeteria is very upscale and a bit pricey for many foods though pretty well priced for the fresh foods they prepare daily versus the pre-prepared items like sushi and some premade sandwiches and desserts. Their custom Boars Head sandwich section and grilled foods area as well as the salads section serve excellent food. They serve all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a Starbucks here and they recently lost their McDonald's to be replaced by a new branch of Tampa's venerable and popular Wright's Sandwich Shop for custom deli sandwiches, salads, soups and great cakes.

Horrible hospital! Some of the nurses will lie and have you banned. They abuse your loved one and if you say anything they call security. My Son was there for a liver transplant. He was confused and in pain. The liver team is the worst! They don’t care of your loved one dies. They expect your love one to be perfect. Never go there for a transplant! Go to Shands in Gainesville where you have the best care! Tampa claims to be the best place, they are not!! My Son had a blockage in his heart and Tampa didn’t even know it. Shands found it. Tampa was such a waste of time. My Son couldn’t get the transplant at Shands due to his heart. He died 3/7/2025. Tampa wasn’t aware because they were incompetent! I’ll never forgive TGH for what they did! BTW I’m a retired nurse which makes this so much harder.

Labor and delivery staff were excellent! The chairs are not so comfortable for the number of hours we spend there. The other side (mother baby) was not a good experience at all. The rooms are a little bigger than a walk-in closet. Although I like the labor and delivery staff, I could say that I would recommend this to an expecting mother.

A year ago today, I received life-changing news about my daughter's health. While it wasn't a cancer diagnosis, for which I'm grateful, it was still a daunting revelation that shook our world. As we navigated this new reality alongside my husband's chemotherapy, I felt defeated.

But then we walked through the doors of TGH's ER, and everything changed. The team enveloped us with kindness, warmth, and expertise. RN Justine swiftly escorted us to room 2109K1, where IVs, labs, and tests were promptly administered.

Dr. Khiabani, a shining star of compassion and care, put my frightened daughter at ease. Her attending physician joined in, and we were grateful that Ella's pediatrician had briefed them on her case, sparing us the ordeal of repetition.

Throughout our journey, the pediatric ER team, including Dr. Khibiani, the nurses, and staff, demonstrated exceptional kindness, knowledge, and efficiency.

During Ella's ICU stay, familiar faces were allowed to visit Ella, bringing comfort and reassurance to my teen. The ICU team, including Dr. Uebelacker's kindness and empathy made a profound impact, helping us navigate the challenges of Type 1 Diabetes.

I also want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Shulman, the endocrinologist. She is truly the unsung heroine of our journey with Type 1 Diabetes. Her unwavering support, guidance, availability, and expertise have been invaluable to my family.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that I couldn't navigate this complex condition without her help. She is more than just a healthcare provider - she is our trusted advisor and friend.

Please, Dr. Shulman, never retire! Your dedication, compassion, and commitment to exceptional patient care are a rare find. We feel blessed to have you in our lives, and we can't imagine facing this journey without your support.
