This place was great to train at You are greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile from George. Who will make you feel right at home. It is very big in a friendly erveryone has no ego only friendly competition and a lot to learn. I could not recommend this place highly enough for anybody who wants to move to a new gym start a new gym or is moving locally to Sydney. The Nogi coach and particular Luca is very good and helpful
Having been a member for several years now I can say this is a fantastic academy to train at if you're looking to take up jiu-jitsu or move across. The environment is unmatched with a very welcoming, friendly and family orientated vibe. Combined, the coaches have decades of knowledge, experience and skill in the art of BJJ utilising self defence techniques both ground & standing. Definitely drop in for a trial class and give it a go!

Gracie Parramatta is a great place for families. All the club members form a great fraternity that supports each member, regardless of their belt or needs.
My son is autistic, and this club has helped him tremendously thanks to the support of all the students and senseis.

Been training here for over 3 years now and honestly, this place feels like home. Everyone's super friendly and respectful - just a really welcoming environment all around.
The higher belts are awesome about helping out us lower belts. They'll pull you aside after class to show you that sweep you were struggling with, or give you tips during rolling. Really makes a difference when you're learning.
The coaching team is fantastic. George is the most patient coach I've ever had - he'll explain things ten different ways until it clicks for you. Jairson's classes are intense in the best way - you can tell he absolutely loves what he does and it rubs off on everyone. Simon, Nathan, Sid, and Tommy are also excellent coaches who each bring their own style and expertise to classes. Plus, Cass and Victor are amazing - they help with everything around the gym and do a great job with the kids' classes too.
The gym itself is great - big space, clean mats, clean bathrooms. There's always this upbeat vibe when you walk in. Classes work well whether you're brand new or have been training for years - you go at your own speed.
My progress has been slow and steady, which is normal for BJJ. But looking back, I've come a long way from where I started. If you're thinking about trying jiu-jitsu or looking for a new gym, definitely check this place out. Great instruction, great people, can't ask for more than that!

Over the last 6 years, myself, my kids and my wife all have had the pleasure of being member of Gracie Parramatta. What makes this place special is the culture George & Jairson have created. The love of not just jiu jitsu but being a better more confident human is something the coaches live and breath. I'm truly grateful for everything they have taught me and continue to do so. George, Jairson, Cassandra Victor and whole Gracie team are absolutely amazing!! Both of my son and daughter enrolled in Gracie. They are very supportive and inspiring. Our family joined Gracie Hermida BJJ Parramatta in January 2024, and from the moment we walked in until the day we sadly had to leave (due to moving interstate), we were welcomed with open arms. The Professors and coaches created an environment where my entire family, especially my daughter and son, felt comfortable, supported, and challenged.
The growth we witnessed in our kids—both in skills and confidence—was incredible. A special shoutout to Prof Jaison and Coach Viktor, whose patience, guidance, and unwavering support of all the kids were second to none.
It's disappointing to leave such an amazing community, but we are incredibly grateful for the time we spent here.

What a great place to train and trust your kids with. The coaches are so experienced as well as super friendly. It's a family vibe place where you feel comfortable and it's super affordable unlike other Jujitsu places. I have enrolled my two boys along with my wife. They love it and have learnt so much in a short amount of time.
