Minha filha saiu do Brasil sozinha viajou para a Tailândia com 16 anos e foi a experiência mais incrível da vida dela. Confesso que,no início fiquei muito apreensiva. Porém, a equipe da Rustic pathways me atualizava sempre que possível como minha filha estava, todos os dias recebia fotos do grupo nos lugares que visitavam. Nathalia aproveitou muito a viagem, fez muitas amizades e quase não usava o celular. Foi incrível! Estamos planejando a próxima jornada. Obrigada por tanto cuidado com minha filha Rustic. ❤️🤗

My son went to Belize with Rustic pathways summer 2025. He had such a great time that he hardly remembered to call home. But the rustic team sent great pictures so us parents could see what all they got to do. He is looking forward to another trip with them this summer

My 18-year-old daughter had an amazing experience with Rustic Pathways in their turtle conservation/surfing program in Costa Rica. In fact, she had such a good time that she wants to go back as a counsellor. Although we live in Mexico City, and she has had lots of visits to Pacific beaches and even taken part in turtle conservation through her school, she said the experience was much more immersive and eye-opening. She particularly enjoyed the nightly beach walks, when they collected turtle eggs and relocated them in a safe area, as well as the group dynamics (around 15 kids of different ages) which were a good mix of structured and free time on the beach. From a parent´s perspective, the counsellors were very supportive and communicative, especially since my daughter flew by herself from Mexico and they bent over backwards to make the logistics work. I confess I had my doubts about the program, since I found it online and didn´t know anyone who had gone. But my daughter and her friend (who came from England) had a blast. I highly recommend the program, because I think it´s a great mix of fun and social/environmental consciousness building, something that was very important for me.

This past summer I traveled on the Hawaii Surf Snorkel and Service program and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I learned so much about the Hawaiian culture, and about myself. The program aims to not only teach you about your surroundings but make the most of this experience and reflect as a group. I made connections that Im sure will last a life time. For example one of the days we became totally immersed in the culture and land. Are started the day by hiking a 3 hour hike filled with laughs and connections. What followed was a storytelling by one of the native Hawaiians that truly felt like we had her ancestors surrounding us (in a good way). Then we made lei po'os with native flowers. Then we went to the black sand beach to take sunset photos. And to end the night we got shaved ice and sat down together in the living room to reflect on the day. This was only 1/7 of the days. So many more amazing things happens, such as seeing an active volcano, sea turtles in the ocean, and service in the farm. This trip was so much fun and I would recommend it to everyone!

Our daughter just returned from the Rustic Pathways Climate Leaders Summit and had a great time. She enjoyed the hikes and other activities, and also was inspired and motivated by the educational and service elements of the program. She returned with renewed enthusiasm for pursuing her current sustainability project, and inspiration to reach for even more ambitious goals. From a parent's point of view, the program was extremely well organized and run, with truly outstanding communications from Rustic Pathways. I never had a doubt that our daughter was in good hands.

My daughter started with the "beginner" turtle conservation program, moved on to the DR program and then the CLF. The growth that Rustic Pathways, and John with the CLF initiative has provided for her to explore community and service has been tremendous. The CLF 2024 inaugural summit in Guatemala is something she still talks about - meeting like minded high schoolers, and the friends she made. She made an effort to stay engaged with the CLF via different volunteer positions during the school year and was excited to hear about the Colorado summit in 2025. The experience at the Balarat Outdoor center was another one for the books, with real world applications to sustainable and more environmentally respectful living and she left asking how she could help once she graduated high school. Highly recommend if your child is interested in community engagement, solution oriented and looking to connect with other like minded high schoolers.

They put together fun, enriching experiences for the teens, and their organization and communication on the back end is phenomenal. Rustic Pathways was an awesome trip! I did the Costa Rica, Pura Vida trip and I had THE BEST TIME!!! For service, we participated in activities with the kids at a Tico school, and assisted in different tasks. We also painted an area at a national park and cleared trails at the 1 million trees project. For fun activities, we zip lined through the rainforest, white water rafted, and visited hot springs. I loved this trip so much and connected with so many people, I was super sad to leave. Definitely would recommend and I’m already planning my next rustics trip!!

The pura vida trip was super fun! We did lots of cool stuff like white water rafting and ziplining and it definitely exceeded my expectations! Our program leaders were Gaby, Annie, and Dan and they were really good! I learned a lot of Spanish, and the service was also fun, and it was really nice to volunteer at the local school and meet the kids. At the Million Trees Project area, it was so cool to see the sloths too! This trip was overall super fun and I would definitely do another!

I had an amazing experience. Everyday was a new adventure. The program leaders were very helpful and supportive. The community service was eye opening and very rewarding. My favorite experience was meeting the kids at a local school and them preforming a traditional dance for us.
