Had an amazing time paddleboarding out to the little islands in the middle of Loch Leven from the sheltered cove where Rugged Coast are based. My 12 year old daughter loved it!
We called up in the morning to book two paddle boards and Rob was very helpful - fitting us in within the hour and providing all the kit we needed.
There is no better way to escape the crowds and experience Glencoe in a completely new way. Definitely recommend - perfect day out for older kids.
It was a wonderful experience. I got to teach my friend who hadn't gone kayaking before a few things. Although she was hesitant at first, she also enjoyed the experience.

Really loved the whole experience, all the necessities were provided for!
The people were really nice to accommodate for any requests we had if possible.
I would recommend to anyone looking for kayak, paddleboard or bike hire around this area

Hired a Kayak for a 2 hour paddle around the islands and along the loch shore. Great place to get out on the water and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Well organised and minimal fuss - especially if you book online and complete the paperwork in advance.

A great tour by Shan, she was really friendly and professional, giving calm clear instructions, good chat, and lots of knowledge about the area and Scotland in general. We saw seals, and lots of beautiful scenery. Beautiful, Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience! We rented a kayak and got lucky to see seals swimming around and jumping out of the water. Very kind and experienced staff.
For a bonus, make sure to get some hand made souvenirs that are created by a local artist.

It was nice, and we have been very well welcommed. We saw few seals, and the scenery is great. Few items to be noticed, phone protection isnot mandatory (and you do not need one phone for each boat; the sauna from the hotel (with additional fees) might be worth spending half an hour...but we did not include it in our journey

We had an absolutely amazing experience renting two kayaks and a paddleboard. We had so much fun exploring and were even able to paddle out to the nearby islands, which made the day unforgettable. The rental service was exceptional — the lady was incredibly kind, allowing us to keep the equipment a little longer by staying open later, and she even helped us bring the kayaks back into the store. Her friendliness and helpfulness made the whole experience even better. Truly a 5 out of 5 experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great day on the water.

Thoroughly enjoyed, and the seals up close was a highlight for the children. Also Sian was brilliant both informative and helpful with where to go and how best to navigate the islands.

A lovely centre. Loch Leven is stunning and we absolutely loved kayaking between the islands with our two daughters (9 and 7). I've never seen seals so close up!!

Amazing Experience
This was our first time paddle boarding and we had a two hour lesson with Sian and she was amazing, she really looked after our 10 year old daughter and taught us how to paddleboard!
After teaching us the basics, we were on Loch Linnhe meeting the seals and having the best time, the surrounding landscape was unbelievable and would thoroughly recommend Rugged Coast.
It was suuuuch a cool experience. We saw beautiful nature. We got a great introduction into kayaking (I’m a beginner) by the kind lady at the shop. Would definitely do it again!

Staff was super great and explained so much and in great detail, helped point out best sites and directions. Answered lots of questions from my kids. Kayaks were great and got to see church, graves, washed up stag, and a family of sea otters…call it a win!!!
