My wife and I have visited this restaurant often from Westchester an easy hour drive for us and our experiences have been good. Because of that, we were excited to share the restaurant with our family.
Since this was going to be a party of 10, I reached out about a month in advance to request a 6:00 PM reservation. At that time, I was advised to contact you again 10 days prior to the desired date.
We followed those instructions, only to be told that you would not be able to accommodate the request and that our options were an 8:45 PM seating, changing the date, or going through the events department.
What we don’t quite understand is why we weren’t informed a month ago that a party of this size might require coordination through the events department. That would have allowed us to plan accordingly and avoid this situation.
We also believe that accommodating the reservation may have been possible, especially with the downstairs open for regular seating.
We were hoping to create a positive experience for our family, which is why this has been very disappointing.
The waitress failed to bring the bread and olive oil we ordered with the salumi and cheese course until we asked again for it. The waitress later attempted to serve the pasta course while the table was full of salumi and cheese course plates. So she had to take the pastas back to the kitchen while they cleared the dirty plates to make room for the pastas. The cacio e pepe was served cold and coagulated. This is an amateurish restaurant with mediocre, over-seasoned food. Don’t waste your time or money.
This place is a phenomenal Italian restaurant! 🇮🇹 Roscioli serves an incredible selection of absolutely delicious 🤤 Italian dishes 🍽️ - definitely get the Bread 🍞 and Virgin Olive 🫒 Oil 🪔, Buratta Cheese, Cheese 🧀 and Meat 🍖 Sampler Board, Carbonara Pasta 🍝, and Tiramisu! 🍮 Everything was so good! The place is nicely decorated 🛋️ and the ambiance 🎶 is great! I'd recommend making and reservation 🛎️ but we were able to get a walk-in 🚶at 9pm on a Friday. I wish I came here more often!
This was such a fun and charming place. I was lucky enough to get a reservation downstairs and had the prix fixe menu. Reservations can be tough to get with only a two week window. The food was good, but the combination of the food, service, and atmosphere made for a great time. With the restaurant coming from Rome, it's no surprise that the carbonara was the best course (my opinion). They also have a nice room for larger dinners and parties - this would be such a great place to take a group.
Italien in New York! Echt gutes Restaurant, tolles Ambiente. Man fühlt sich gleich wie in Italien.
Great dining experience last night with my daughter for her birthday. We had the Roman Feast and wine pairing. Exceptional service from Angela and the staff. Food and wine were outstanding and it was a memorable meal. Thank you
Phenomenal culinary experience surrounded by a beautiful cozy setting with friendly professional accommodating service. Five stars all around.
Roscioli on MacDougal Street in Soho is pure Roman magic transplanted to NYC, we felt like we were back in Campo de’ Fiori the second we walked into the cozy upstairs dining room!
The classic carbonara and cacio e pepe were spot-on (perfectly al dente with that signature pepper blend and insane aged cheeses), and the tiramisu at the end was straight-up life-changing. Incredible salumi and burrata starters from the deli case, warm service, and intimate vibe – book ahead because this tiny gem is worth every penny!
Roscioli NYC is hands down one of the best pasta experiences we’ve ever had. We walked in right at 5:00pm and were seated immediately, which felt like the perfect start to an unforgettable meal. Gabriel, our waiter, absolutely made the night an 11/10 with his knowledge, warmth, and spot-on recommendations that elevated every course. The pasta was flawless — rich, perfectly balanced, and authentically Roman — and we’re already counting down the days until we can go back!
