I honestly can’t recommend Roof Rooms highly enough. Having had our loft extension done, I wanted to share just how good Jon and his whole team have been, as I know he doesn’t advertise much. We had several quotes, and some were surprisingly slapdash, even suggesting we didn’t need proper plans and do go ahead on a design and build basis. Jon was completely different - explaining that his team, and me, need to know what is happening ahead of time so there are no surprises - and we agreed. His quote was competitive, similar in price to others, but included the plans. Pay attention to materials in the quote. With rising costs you’ll notice many builders compromise on quality and many of our quotes did, but not Jon. His staircases were proper pine rather than MDF, and windows were pilkington and velux - others will not be. Who wants an MDF staircase? Jon and the team strike exactly the right balance between cracking on and making sure you’re involved when decisions need making. He’s a brilliant project manager, coordinating scaffolders, architects, plasterers, tilers, plumbers, joiners, electricians and everyone else needed to make a project like this come together. I didn’t realise just how much goes in to it. As the build progressed, we changed our minds on a few things, including style f windows and cladding. Jon was accommodating and flexible throughout and, when we chose cheaper cladding than originally quoted, he actually reduced the price of the original quote without us asking. That’s rare, and shows you’re in safe hands with Jon. Paul, Josh, Justin and the rest of the team on site each day have been fantastic too. Hardworking, friendly and clearly proud of what they do. They love a brew, so stock up on some Yorkshire tea bags. You really can’t go wrong with Roof Rooms. Great workmanship, competitive pricing, brilliant project management and, above all, genuinely good people. The extension looks awesome. Thanks to Jon and the whole team. You’ve been brilliant.

We have an old, tall house, typical of the area, but complicated due to flying freehold. Craig has recently completed work to one of our chimneys. We are so pleased with the job, he was a real problem solver and was able to resolve all the issues. He kept us fully informed about what he was doing, arrival times etc and sent us ongoing photos of the work from beginning to end. In addition, he is a friendly, kind, big hearted man....so a pleasure to have around. Thank you Craig!

Great firm operating at a reasonable price. Had roof rooms create an ensuite master bedroom in our terrace roof and they did a great job with this, worked with us to adapt and adjust as any modifications were needed. Any issues that did emerge were rectified, would recommend to anyone considering having this done in the Nottinghamshire area

Jon and the team from Roof Rooms converted our loft a couple of years ago. I've perhaps waited a little long however, with big jobs such as this I prefer to see how things settle down for a while! From the minute we got in touch Roof Rooms were nothing but professional and friendly giving good advice in a friendly manner. Our house is a strange layout which was touch for some but the bespoke nature of Roof Rooms' approach meant they just designed our conversion differently! Onsite, everyone was friendly, professional and extremely hard working. Fast forward and we love our new room. As with any building work there were minor glitches but these were sorted quickly and with little fuss. Price wise, Roof Rooms were incredibly good value too so, all in all, I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a roof or loft comversion.

All in all, these guys were excellent. There are always the odd issue, but John sorted things out to satisfaction. From initial paperwork, through to final delivery it was all really good. His team were decent and his subcontractors were similar. Considering the amount of work the impact on day to day life was minimal and tidy. 2 years on we remain very happy. We recommend roof rooms to others.

I contacted Jon at Roof rooms before we even put in our offer on the bungalow we wanted to buy to see if what we wanted to do was even possible and Jon kindly came and met us there to discuss our options with having a loft conversion done and we were delighted to be told it was possible. The work started only a few weeks after we moved in, in January and the team were just incredible from start to finish. The communication was second to none, always responding fast and efficiently and never leaving us with any doubts about what was happening through the whole process. The guys who worked for us, Josh, Jamie, Paul and Roy where all so polite, Kind and trustworthy. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough, they achieved everything we wanted and even better than we imagined. We had 2 bedrooms in our loft space and a staircase fitted, it was all designed between us and it all looks just perfect, like it was meant to be. Thank you so much to you all. Thank you so much Roof Rooms. It's been a pleasure working with Roof Rooms. I am so enjoying my loft conversion I don't want to leave and come downstairs. It took me almost 2 months to find a company who came forward to do the job. I did email building companies, put an advert on job sites, etc but I was told without calculations and drawings no builder will budge and indeed no building company contacted me. Roof Rooms however did reply to my email and could do all from start to finish- from architect drawings/calculations to building, which in my opinion is much easier when everything is under one roof and you deal with 1 company only. This company is very consistent, reliable, stand by their word and deliver. The team on site were very polite, respectful and very pleasant to work with. They were conscious of noise level and cleaned after them. They updated me as they went along. They just get on with it - no messing about. This was evident to my whole neighbourhood as they all started making comments about how they just get on with it. In December at some point it was so cold and weather was freezing (sub-zero level) but they showed up each day and worked outside on the roof. I felt really bad for them as I wouldn't go out in that cold to work outside. And, they will not even make the time for hot drinks to warm them up! Another time, the wind took off the covering for the window space and so I informed them as the rain may damage something. Within an hour they were here to put it back on- and this was during the Christmas holidays. Well, weeks later excellent quality work is the outcome. Quality materials used all round with no compromise. I could not ask for more from these guys. Now, I have a queue of friends waiting to see the loft conversion. Thank you again, Roof Rooms.

Can’t praise Jon and his team enough. Jon knew what we wanted even before we did and took care of the whole process from start to finish, striking just the right balance between keeping us updated/requiring our input and sorting things out himself. Attention to detail was second to none, he designed a floating staircase pulled away from a feature window whereas other loft conversion companies had told us we’d need to get rid of the window. He sourced doors to match the 1930s doors we had elsewhere in the house. Communication all via email which I really appreciated as it meant we had a record of discussions and what was agreed. He was fair and upfront in his pricing. The joinery in particular was immaculate. Roof Rooms made the whole loft conversion process as stress free as possible, recommend them wholeheartedly.

Can not recommend Jon & his team enough! Roof Rooms were recommended to us from a family on our street who had also used Roof Rooms following recommendation & I have to say its clear to see why this company has such good reviews & is recommended by so many. From start to finish the whole team was super helpful, courteous to the fact we had young children & were always happy to answer any questions. We had not completed anything like this before but from first meeting Jon, he made the whole thing simple & straight forward. Our build was completed shortly after the last lockdown & timber prices etc were all over the place but Jon worked with us & still managed to make sure everything stayed within our budget. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jon and his team at Roof Rooms. They were exemplary in their approach to completing our building works which entailed converting a large outbuilding and a loft conversion. The works spanned within timescales which was great considering lockdowns etc and the price was very fair considering what we had been quoted by other builders. Jon also has a great connection within other trades and managed to re render our whole house along with building up a new porch and suppling a great looking new front door. All materials used were of high standard and he has since been back to help with a small guttering problem, not just left us.
