He was ALWAYS available and helped me completely through the insurance claim process. Kenny is a gold standard of customer service. We recently had wind & hail damage that tore shingles off our house & shed. I first called the contractor that did the work five years ago. Then my neighbor gave me Sergio Lara’s contact so I thought I’d have him take a look. I’m very glad I did. I’ve been in the trades for 45 years (Drywall Contractor) & learned a lot about reading people & Sergio came off as being very professional, honest, & knowledgeable. He carefully went over the process with us & kept me up to date on the status of everything. They showed up on the days & time he said & completed everything. I couldn’t be more happy with both Status Roofing & Sergio Lara. My daughter & son in-law also had damage from the same storm so I gave them Sergio’s contact & after talking with him they also canceled their contractor & are in the process of having their roof done by Status Roofing.

It was a long, and challenging process due to weather complications, scheduling, and our bank/adjuster, but JT Roofs team handled it extremely professionally throughout. We suffered significant hail damage in the early spring, and didn't get the roof checked until July to kick off the process, but they were on top of it the entire time. Our rep, Jonathan Phillips was extremely thorough in providing us our options, keeping us up to date on scheduling, and interactions with the bank in spite of some rather robust added requirements from our adjuster. At no point did the JT Roofs team show any frustration with the challenges, and the crews that visited the property each time were extremely proficient and professional. Highly recommend.

Excellent service with a smile and encouragement from Brook, who took us through the whole process. The type, color, and manufacturer were considered and explained by Brook to our satisfaction. The delivery of shingles, the install, and clean up were done to perfection. We had flashing, drip edge and hardy plank work done, and the vents in the attic were inspected for straightness and tightness. This is important as there were several gas appliances. Clean up was done to perfection. I would recommend this company because their pricing was very good, and honesty above reproach. A[so the work was done in a timely manner. I would recommend this crew to anyone.
Poor communication and did not stick to what original plan -2 weeks became 34 days . Project manager was the worst / unprofessional, disingenuous, unresponsive , and more. We had to deal with our salesperson as he would not respond . Said they would show up - never did Never called, dropped off materials in our street . I think they should stick to roofs ! Final project is fine but all of the aggravation dealing with them was not worth it .months after this review we find out they didn’t get proper inspection from the city and now have to undo some work and redo it . I would give a 0 if I could

Too good to be true?
I was referred to Good News Roofing, and Project Manager Brook Vallejo, by a reputable source who had roofing work completed by Good News. So, I decided to check out the company online. When I saw the 5.0 rating on Google, with over 450 reviews, I was amazed. Based on my past experience, I trust Google's rating system more than others I've researched.
Was that 5.0 rating really accurate? Was there some hidden fault with it?
I followed through with a request to Brook to perform an inspection of my roof. She promptly responded to my email, and we scheduled the inspection for later in the week. Brook completed the inspection and emailed the related report with detailed descriptions and many photos. In addition to the inspection report, I received various other appropriate documents and information. Lastly, in this series of interactions, Brook called me to personally discuss the report and explain the proposal.
Throughout my interactions with Brook – whether email, phone, or in person – I found her to be friendly, professional, experienced, prompt, thorough, responsive, patient and expert. And, she showed excellence in her communication and interpersonal skills.
I’m very grateful to now have the excellent resource of Brook Vallejo and her Good News Roofing company. Keep up the superb work, Brook!

The 2025 transformation of my house's roof from old shingles and old ventilation to new shingles and new ventilation is now in my rearview mirror.
I am truly pleased with both the process and the product, from start to finish.
I'm very thankful that Chelsea, my insurance agent at Texas Farm Bureau in Lockhart, initially recommended Brook and Good News Roofing.
I'm very thankful for Brook, a project manager at Good News, who was consistently friendly, dedicated, professional, diligent and patient in her interactions with me. She was efficient and effective in juggling the before-during-and-after logistics of the job, and in coordinating with the office manager and the roofing team's crew-leader. (Because of my many analytical questions and my high-volume of written communications with her, I'm sure I was an unusually pesky challenge for her – but she was always kind and responsive from her end.)
I'm very thankful for crew-leader Jesús, who is a master at his craft with many, many years of experience – and who manages his team well.
I'm very thankful for the Good News office manager, Ami, who was always pleasant, efficient and helpful.
And, although we've never met, I'm very thankful for Stephen and Jordan, who have put together an exceptionally high-class company – including customer service, staff, and product.

Justin and DT Roofing made the entire process smooth. It was the best work experience I’ve had in a long time with any service operation. Marcus Battle got me squared away quickly with new gutters for our home we moved into this year. He and his team were fast and professional, and the quality of work is outstanding.
