We are so incredibly pleased with the excellent work that George and his team did to our 170 year old cottage roof which was in a very bad way.
We had a tile slip out of place, so after calling a few roofers and getting no return calls I spotted the Homefix Contractors advert and was thrilled when George answered and I told him the situation, he came round the next day to see the problem and then arranged to come a couple of days later with his team of men to go up and access the roof, we did not realise what a terrible state our roof was in. George was very concerned and showed us pictures and videos that his men were sending down and we were truly shocked at the state of it. Unfortunately a cowboy roofer we hired years ago to put new felt under the tiles had left it in a terrible mess.
So George and his men worked so hard to put our new roof on especially working in the searing heat. Insulating the loft as well was an added bonus.
The continuous updates, communication, pictures and videos of the work as it progressed was so professional and kept us very reassured, satisfied and appreciated as the work went on.
George would ring us every morning and evening keeping us up to date with everything that they were doing that day.
After the work was completed they cleaned everything up and even washed the windows.
So the biggest thanks George to you and your very hard working team of men and we are thrilled with our new roof safe in the knowledge that we won’t have any problems again.

I found George and his team on line and decided to get in touch with him because of his great review. I needed spray foam removed from my elderly mum’s roof and I don’t live near so needed someone I could trust. The reply and quote were done super quick and work commenced the following week. Home fix and George did an excellent spray foam removal job for me. including stripping the entire roof, removing all trace of foam, installing new battens/felt and re-tiling, he was able to save the majority of the old tiles and tried to replace Broken ones with like for like. He also upgraded the roof with dry ridges/verges and relaid the loft floor insulation The entire project was completed in three days! George went above and beyond keeping me updated with progress and photos and he couldn’t have been more thoughtful to my mother making her feel comfortable with the workmen being around and very respectful. When completed the site was well cleaned and all waste was disposed of, they cleaned all the gutters and even cleaned the windows! I Would definitely recommend this company and have already passed their number on to a couple of mums friends and neighbours and would use again should the need arise. Price was very reasonable which was a bonus but the customer care was the real win here. Thank you

The most charming and smooth talking cowboys I had the misfortune to come across. Recommend you avoid. At minimum compare their prices with 2-3 other quotes. They use opportunities to increase the scope of work particularly if your in a rush (as I was to close the sale of my house). You find yourself so thankful to have a firm to do the actual work when you are in a rush..... but be careful. They use this to try and force you to make a quick pressured decision on the day. Very much a scam. I had them come to my home to remove spray foam in my attic. I had to have the attic spray foam removed to make the sale of the house proceed to the satisfaction of the buyers mortgage company. Having reviewed and priced the job we agreed a start date within a couple of weeks. They were the cheapest of 3 quotes I received...... I should have know better. Within 5 minutes of starting the job they said they could not remove the spray foam (due to the method they use) in the absence of a roof liner (even though I told them that there was no felt liner under the tiles on the day they came to price the job and then again when appointing them on the job over the phone). They also showed me of photos of my so called roof supposedly taken the morning they started the job with broken tiles and holes shown..... I knew straight away these pictures were not my roof. Then the sales pressure started... new roof the only solution they said. And I was lucky that they had some space guys who they could call to assist in addition to providing scaffolding that very same day. Next they had an 'independent' building inspector arrive with 10 minuets to confirm that the rood would have to be replaced. More 'charming' "they were doing me the favor" sales pressure commenced, saying they could take care of everything for me with minimum worry for me. What they did not know was that I'm a civil engineer of nearly 20 years experience and had spent three summer holidays in the early 1990's working on building sites as a labour (whilst a student prior to graduation) assisting in roofing new houses for one of the counties biggest house builders. Also my estate agent, looking to assit in getting the sale of the house over the line, had also sought three separate quotes to reroof the entire house, just in case I could not find a contractor to remove the spray foam in my attic). It was no surprise that HomeFix's quote was 75-90% more than the three quotes my estate agent had obtained for doing the very same reroofing job. I stuck to my position and thanked them for their time but stated that they would not be reroofing my house. After some more pressured salesmanship their smiles eventually disappeared and left swiftly swearing as they departed, wheels spinning on their vehicle and even leaving some hand tools behind. My experience with Homefix delayed the sale of my house by 3 months. We got it over the line with 2 days to spare before the buyers mortgage offer lapsed. It pains me to think that they charm their way in to pressure people (the elderly I would suspect would be particularly vulnerable from their charming promise laden sales approach), take advantage of people and then over charge them. I can only recommend getting at least three other quotes to compare to Homefix's proposals to before considering them for a job or even ideally avoiding them altogether for peace of mind and safeguarding your hard earned money. Its terrible to think that such scrupulous people are out there. Be warned and treat with caution.

I'm George, the owner. I do every initial roof assessment and quote myself, and I attend site personally for all our jobs — we don't use independent surveyors or send anyone else out to do inspections. So the "independent building inspector" you describe isn't how we work, and never has been.

This year we had ideas for quite an extensive hard landscaping project and wondered whether we could stimulate George’s interest to carry out the work for us even though it is not in his usual remit. We were pleased to hear he was up to the challenge. It didn’t take George long to realise my wife had very specific ideas regarding materials and details and that second best was not an option. George spent much time an effort scouring the country to find exactly the right materials and also at a good price. He also chose the right craftsmen for the job who had the skills and knowledge to do the brick, stone and paving to a high standard. At all times George made sure that they were always kept supplied with all they needed so as to avoid any delays or holdups.
We were kept informed daily of progress and at the end of each day the site was made safe and tidy. Thank you George, Jonny, Gus and Frank and all your hard workers who made it an enjoyable experience and for giving us something that will give us much joy for years to come.

George and the roofing team were excellent. They work turned out to be a lot more than original quote and George showed me all the faults. We agreed the work and extra cost and we now have a new chimney and ridge tiles all secure and valleys redone. Every one was very polite and professional and keep my garden tidy. Having a 15 yr guarantee was an extra bonus. Would have them back.
George and his crew did a great job extremely quickly. Initially we thought the job was just to paint some fascia boards and close up a hole that birds were getting into. It turned out to be a much bigger job needing all new felt and battening. The scaffolding was arranged immediately and the job completed in a single day. The guys worked especially hard to get all the tiles back on before the rain came. The original tiles were salvaged and cleaned which helped save us money. George was great at communicating throughout, phoning and sending pictures and videos to update on progress. The guys also came back twice afterwards at no extra charge to tidy up a couple of small snags, both times at the weekend when it suited us. Always on time and polite and a good job done. Thank you.

The entire project was completed in three days (the roof was always watertight overnight). He kept me up to date with progress throughout, sending me photos and calling me where decisions were needed. I moved into a property that had spray foam removed. It was a complete mess, the tiles uneven, ridge tiles snake shape and the loft a mess. I had a very small repair job that needed sorting but had struggled to get anyone to do it.
