I was advised by a British Gas Engineer that the smoke bomb test that they did when servicing my gas fire resulted in smoke in my loft!!!! Clearly there was a problem. I know nothing about roofs so reverted to the Trade Association of the roofing industry I’m also keen to support local businesses. I got the recommendation for A&M roofing from the Trade Association and was heartened by the fact that they had a local phone number and two offices,both close to my house. The initial response to my phone call was prompt and professional. The subsequent calls with Alan were professional and reassuring. Alan came out to assess the roof himself. I was pleased with his review which basically said that the cement around the vent cover and indeed the whole ridge had crumbled (not surprising as the house is 30 years old) Having spent quite a lot of money refurbishing the upstairs rooms,I was worried about water ingress over the winter. Alan provided photographs of the work that he recommended and a quote. I accepted both,we then had to wait for a break in the atrocious weather to get the work done. There was a brief window on Saturday morning and 2 of Alan’s team arrived and completed the work in double quick time before the rain started again. They were efficient and tidy. Alan provided me with photos showing the work that had been done together with his invoice. I found the whole process professional and efficient and would have no hesitation to use A&M again. Quickly Installed Chimney Caps Alan responded quickly to my request for a quote to install chimney caps linked to disused fireplaces in order to prevent birds nesting. The quoted price was similar to other contractors, but what made the difference was that he visited to look at the roof/chimneys, which gave me a chance to talk in more detail about what I wanted and to ask questions. The other contractors quoted based on emails and photos, so it wasn't as easy to deal with them. The work was schedule in quickly and completed satisfactorily. I appreciated that Alan kept me informed throughout and was straight forward to deal with.

Great job, great aftercare Great work on our garage roof, replacing tiles and repairing areas that had been patched up before we moved in. We had a snagging issue that required the guys to come back out - they were back within 24 hours and sorted the issue. Would definitely recommend!

Endorsement Reference After storm Darragh we struggled to find someone that could repair our roof leak before January. AM Roofing were amazing. Called them on Monday morning, Alan was here an hour later and inspecting the roof within minutes of arriving. He was professional, clear about the options available and straight up about costs. Scaffolding all up by Tuesday morning and the job was completed as discussed by Friday afternoon. Faultless and efficient. It's so nice to find a good tradesman, I've kept his card for any future storm damage!
