Excellent job by Romans replacing decking in our yard with paving.
The whole job was done with the least amount of disruption and the end result was exactly what was asked for.
The photo below doesn't really do the finished job 100% justice as the dog had just dragged mud over the new work, but basically everything was done superbly.
Romans is highly recommended.
Romans replaced a broken drain cover in our cobbled drive and did an excellent job. The lads were helpful, hardworking and very pleasant. The drive was left very clean afterwards. Even my neighbour commented on what a good job they had done. Would definitely recommend them and I'm now planning to discuss more work with Romans.
I’m very pleased indeed with my new driveway that Romans have put down, they have done an excellent job. I’ve attached a photo, but it doesn’t do it justice as it has just rained. I appreciated a very clear quotation and initial meeting with Kyle, as well as the two guys George and Nick who did most of the work and were always very polite and professional. They also made very good decisions on drainage and how to make the base even stronger. Highly recommended.
Romans Construction have today completed a front garden conversion to a block paving parking area. The team worked really hard over a number of days and their skill and professionalism was a credit to the company. We are extremely pleased with the overall result and would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone who is considering a similar project.
Very pleased with Romans from start to finish. We had a resin driveway installed by them to a high standard, on time and for the quoted price. Every person I dealt with from the company were pleasant and responsive. Would recommend.
Can’t fault the work. Restoration of a big patio around a pool lifting a lot of sunken and wonky slabs, relaying, cleaning, and repointing. Looks great. Guys turned up on the agreed day and got on with it. I wasn’t happy with a couple of areas and they corrected them immediately. Only thing was it was a bit pricey. However, Kyle quoted for what he saw and I agreed it. It was probably a smoother job that we thought and took less time so fair enough.
I usually don't leave reviews, but I want to make an exception for Romans Construction, especially the owner, Kyle. There aren't enough words to express my sincere gratitude for the work they did on my two-car driveway and small rear garden.
I’m always very skeptical when it comes to construction companies because of all the horror stories you hear in the news. However, Romans Constructions did a fabulous job. They were very professional and kept me updated on developments throughout the project. I wasn’t charged any extras beyond the agreed price, and they went the extra mile to create a lovely driveway and garden. They even added a few extras for me at no extra cost.
I wholeheartedly recommend Romans; they are absolutely fabulous.

The team removed my old patio and replaced it with a lovely new one. The end result was a patio to be proud of! They were courteous and hardworking and I was impressed by their attention to detail! At the end of the job, everything was left clean and tidy so I am happy to recommend them.
Saw Romans Construction complete a neighbours gravel driveway. Looked good. Had been intending to get ours done for years ! James and dad, Miles, agreed a reasonable quote, which included taking down trees and bushes. Their team were polite throughout, James was always communicative and kept me up to date on expected timings throughout. Their team always tidied up at the end of each day. Kindly tidied up existing loose coping stones on wall and and pointed-up some loose brick mortar at the back of the house. Completed the work professionally and in a timely manner. ...know what they're doing. Finished job looks good.
An impressive job, conducted professionally and to a high standard. Romans removed an existing concrete drive and extended a parking area over garden. A very hard-working team supported by excellent logistics and project management, and considerate builders into the bargain. At no point did I feel as though I was being sold to, the single change to the original quote was based on a suggestion for an improvement that turned out to be absolutely correct. The end result looks great, it was completed in under four days and is a massive improvement over what was there before. Highly recommended and would certainly use again.
We had some fake lawn put down, our garden was in a very bad state before we went to Kyle and we’re amazed by how fantastic the garden looks now. We would definitely recommend romans construction, very professional and kind.

We are enjoying our wonderful garden after the sprinkling of magic from Roman Gardening services.
In the summer of last year, we were left in shatters when a previous Gardner took out money and delivered no services. A garden that was desperate for a makeover and complete in-useable.
Step in Romans, we had Kyle visit us, discuss our requirements and how we wanted to see the end product. Kyle was patient and explained a lot, combined with suggestions and ways we could maximise our space and allow for additions in the future if we chose to do so.
Kyle was very professional throughout, he recommended certain stones for the pathway or allowed to get our own if we wanted too. His quote was highly competitive and we managed to get two quotes from him for other changes should we go with those.
We had to call Kyle back because we changed our minds about a feature, what we liked was the fact that he came over and was happy to talk us though it.
We went with Kyle, purely down to his professionalism, attention to detail and price.
We will also admit, when his team arrived (2 days earlier due to another job completing earlier), they just got on with what needed to be done; no issues and fuss, great guys.
We had Miles who was on the task on a daily basis, he was polite, professional and added a few extras to simply compete the look.
Overall, we were blown away by what they achieved, cannot fault anything, no issues at all and delivered on time.
They brought back some dignity to tradesmen, after our initial awful experience.
Would I recommend Romans? YES, wholeheartedly and within a heartbeat; great job team Romans!!!
