Where do I even begin? Rodney and Sandra were a dream to work with and helped craft a perfect Ireland vacation for my family this summer. We had six adults and a 14-month-old baby traveling from Dublin to Killarney to Galway and then back to Dublin. For starters, Sandra helped create a strong itinerary that balanced our interests with her recommendations, ensuring that we weren't missing anything on our journey. Once we arrived in Ireland, Rodney was the perfect host for our trip. He was quick to suggest potential stops for photos, a bite to eat or an opportunity to see something interesting. He was flexible with stops that allowed us to get the baby out of the car and was in tune with our priorities. He was also a pleasure to spend time with and became close with our family over the week. There were so many highlights that I struggle to distill them into this short review, but I recommend ROC Tours Ireland to anyone!

Rodney is a one of a kind - safe driver, on time, kind, helpful and easy to spend time with. He’s also informed, flexible and insightful. Our decision to use his tour company was the best possible decision we could have made. We saw more of Ireland, learned more, relaxed more and Rodney’s excellence made this trip the best trip ever had to Europe so far. I highly recommended him and his company. He’s exceptional.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about Rodney and Sandra. The communication with Sandra while setting up our itinerary was wonderful. We were incredibly lucky to have Rodney, the owner of ROC Tours Ireland, as our driver during our trip. Rodney was very kind, accommodating, professional, knowledgeable, punctual and so much more! He was more than willing to take us where we wanted to go but also threw out great suggestions along the way which we truly appreciated. He knows some of the lesser traveled picture perfect spots as well. Another huge plus is that Rodney is also a landscape photographer! ROC Tours Ireland was a huge reason for our wonderful and memorable trip to Ireland. Forever grateful we found them.

My friend and I had a wonderful time in Ireland with Rodney as our driver and guide! He's very interesting, knowledgeable, and personable. He took us to places like the Rock of Cashel and Cliffs of Mohrer that we had chosen and also on the Slea Head Loop Drive, which we really hadn't noticed in the guide book but was wonderful. It's very beautiful and was a treat. His van is very comfortable, and he's a really good driver, so the narrow, winding roads were not scary, even though I can be a nervous passenger. I highly recommend him.

I wanted to share some highlights from our amazing trip to Ireland (Kilkenny, Kinsale and Dingle), which Sandra planned expertly and Rodney guided with great skill. Our eight-day adventure with six adults was a resounding success from beginning to end. Rodney proved to be an outstanding driver, skillfully navigating Ireland's picturesque backroads. He didn't just show us the breathtaking scenery, but also revealed some hidden gems that we might have otherwise overlooked. His deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the region added immense value to our journey. I wholeheartedly recommend ROC Tours Ireland.

Our trip to Ireland was fantastic thanks to Sandra and Rodney of ROC Tours Ireland. Sandra helped us with our itinerary - making sure that we got to see what we wanted to see, at the same time making sure that we did not over do it. She was very flexible, presenting several alternatives, and reassured us repeatedly to relax and just enjoy the beauty that is Ireland. Rodney’s flexibility on a daily basis to accommodate our needs and wishes was above and beyond! He made adjustments and suggestions each day of our trip - they were all excellent. Rodney helped us find our grandfathers boyhood home, something we would not have been able to do without his help knocking on doors and talking to farmers! Sandra and Rodney made our trip all that we hoped for and more! Can’t wait to go to Ireland again and will definitely contact Sandra and Rodney!

Rodney was amazing! We had a group of 8 adults and we spent an entire day with Rodney! He picked us up on and based on timing we were able to stop at a sheep herding demonstration which turned out to be a highlight of the trip! We continued to the burren geopark site then off to the Cliffs of Moher. The weather was amazing and Rodney NEVER rushed us. He gave us helpful tips of these sites and narrated our travels in between sites. He made a special stop in Doolin and our final stop was at Seans Bar. After a very long day as we were getting out of the van Rodney said ‘take your time’. That meant so much to us. He was VERY generous with his time and even offered to stop on the way back if we needed any supplies. I would 100% recommend ROC Tours! Thanks for the memories!

We had the pleasure of hiring Rodney for our extended family trip in July. The first things that attracted me to Magical Ireland Tours was their responsiveness. They got back to me almost immediately with all the details I needed. We booked relatively last minute and they were able to accommodate to our specific needs. Most of our itinerary was complete however they were able to review and make suggestions that we wouldn’t have thought of/known about. They were also very helpful in making activity suggestions when we had to pivot our plans due to excessive rain. Rodney was very professional and easy to get along with. He was an excellent driver and made it a point to show us some unique parts of Ireland that we would have definitely missed if it weren’t for him. He also shared Irish history and cultural nuances that were very interesting. He was not intrusive at all – which I was worried about when we first discussed the idea of hiring a driver. He was great and we highly recommend him. His van is very comfortable and worked out very well for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. He even provided chargers for all our devices, umbrellas and vacuumed if needed while we were touring. If we ever make it back to Ireland, we will definitely be seeking Rodney out to drive us again!

Wonderful experience! We reserved 5 days with Rodney and everything was perfect. He picked us up from Cork airport and the van was very clean and comfortable. Rodney brought us everywhere we wanted to go plus suggested places that we never would have thought of. At every stop, we stayed as long as we wanted to, there was never a rush to move on to the next place. This was truly an individual, do what we want experience. During our 5 days he brought us to Cork, Dingle, Killarney and Doolin. He even called and made dinner reservations for us at places we were interested in. Communication was excellent and he was always prompt when picking us back up. I highly recommend this company if you want a driver to provide you with a true individual Ireland experience! Thank you Rodney and Sandra for providing a trip we will never forget. If we ever make it to Ireland again, I will 100% book with Magical Ireland Tours again!

We were lucky enough to find Rodney and Sandra through their great reviews and they exceeded our expectations. From the start we were able to collaborate with Sandra to plan two perfect days seeing the sights of Western Ireland. But it was even better after Rodney picked us up that first day. The van was clean and spacious and he was timely, knowledgeable, and courteous. Because he is a photographer he was able to direct us to the right locations at the most beautiful time of day and he was able to adjust with our schedule when we just wanted a pub. :) Highlight of the trip was the local cow path he directed us to take and see the Cliffs of Moher from an amazing vantage point. If it was possible to give 6 stars I’d do it. Highly recommend.

Our tour with Rodney was nothing short of AMAZING. He was very knowledgeable about Ireland and always sought to find us answers even if he did not know them off the top of his head. He took us to some of his favorite scenic destinations and delicious eateries. His tour van is very comfortable, even with 5 passengers. Visiting from the US, I feel like I left with a diverse and rich understanding of the country of Ireland. Rodney is so easy to get along with and made the trip very comfortable for us.

In my life , I have had several memorable experiences. What stands out, is our most recent trip to Ireland with out son, DIL and their children. The trip was intended ostensibly for my 70th birthday. After much consideration (to drive or not) we hired Magical Ireland Tours. Rodney, who guided us, took us to places we would not have dreamed of. I truly felt as a though he treated us like family. I cannot wait to go back and tour with him again. Oh, did I mention, he I also a fabulous landscape photographer and knows the landscape and places for the best breathtaking views of all.

First time in Ireland (for me) and 6 other people in our group. While I did not do the planning directly with Rodney and Sandra (another family member did), I was happy with the tour agenda. Now, it was a lot to see in the amount of time we were there, and it was a little demanding, but we were able to see a lot of Ireland (South of Dublin to the west coast) -- which was amazing. Rodney is an informed guide and it was wonderful to hear the history behind the areas that we visited. I would highly recommend this company to anyone, especially if you are seeing Ireland for the first time.

Rodney and Sandra were wonderful. For several weeks leading up to our tour, I worked closely with Sandra who was very responsive and helpful, to lay out a general driving plan. She answered my hundreds of questions knowledgeably and with patience. I felt like we were good friends before our family ever set foot in Ireland! Rodney was our driver. We were a group of 7 with four 50+ year olds and three 20+ year olds. He got along with everyone equally. We were all very comfortable with him and he was an excellent (safe!) driver. Rodney provided great insight into the history and culture of each place we visited. He was always flexible and accommodating and fun to be around. He never lost his sense of humor even after a solid week with us! We visited Kilkenny, Rock of Cashel, Blarney, Killarney National Park, Dingle Peninsula, the Burren, Connemara National Park, Cliffs of Moher and Salthill/Galway. Rodney and Sandra made great recommendations on where to book lodging before our arrival but the best was having Rodney figure out where to have lunch and dinner each day. That was such a relief for the travel-weary planner in our group (me)! As a local, he often directed us to the best streets for shopping and entertainment wherever we stopped. If there were one area where I might suggest a slight improvement, it would be more time at the larger attractions like Blarney Castle and Kylemore Abbey. Overall, I highly recommend Magical Ireland Tours for your journey through the Emerald Isle!
