My husband and I have celebrated 2 anniversaries here. It is in a fantastic secluded area where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The houses are fully equipped with everything you could need including the kitchen. There are hot tubs which are so relaxing! The fireplaces make the houses so cozy. Close to wineries! The ultimate The Hobbit and The Lord Of the Rings themed getaway! Don't pass this opportunity up!

This was our third stay at Rocky Comfort. Our second in the Creole. The cabin is cozy and the property is beautiful.
It is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is quiet and peaceful. Nobody bothers you and the owners (Ed and Nancy) are wonderful people who truly seem to care about their guests.
The furniture is beautiful and really fits with the "theme" of the cabin. The bed was excellent and we slept great. Overall Rocky Comfort is an awesome place to visit. We will definitely be back!

An absolutely great place to stay!! Hosts are lovely to work with and the surroundings are beautiful any season. The house itself has just the right amount of theming and served as a great space to spend time together.

I am a city girl through and through. So when I stumbled upon Rocky Comfort Cabins, I was intrigued by the remote location and beautiful views. My husband and I spent a few nights here and we enjoyed our time. There is no Wi-Fi or Cell Service, so if you're looking to unplug against a backdrop of rolling hills and beautiful forests, this is the perfect space. We stayed in the Creole Cabin which had a large hot tub, one bedroom, two bathrooms, and a large kitchen. The Cabin was within walking distance to the Blue Sky Vineyard, which I strongly recommend (the white sangria is delicious!) Overall, the Creole Cabin was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day hiking in Shawnee or enjoying wine. We will be back!

If you’re looking for a beautiful scenery with no Wi-Fi and a hot tub, you’re in luck! My boyfriend & I spent our 7 year anniversary here in June 2024. We are from Middle Tennessee. Our nearby cabins (Gatlinburg) are no where near as beautiful or as cheap. We enjoyed the Creole Cabin 100%. We went zip lining at the nearby canopy tours. This was the perfect get-away trip. We wish we had stayed longer. I hope Ed & Nancy would be happy to have us back. The garden made me feel like I was in a fairy tale.

Thank you Carrie for the wonderful review! I'm so glad you made the trip to beautiful southern Illinois and enjoyed the zip line in the Shawnee National Forest and the gardens at the cabin. There are so many things to do here that it takes more than one visit to even make a dent.

This was my first time ever staying in a cabin, and it well exceeded my expectations! It's a very secluded location to be able to unwind and spend time with my husband. I really enjoyed all of the amenities the cabin had to offer, I would definitely stay here again!

I booked to stay at Rocky Comfort Cabins during a road trip from New Orleans to Chicago with my girlfriend this year. I planned to propose on the trip, and Rocky Comfort Cabins looked like the perfect romantic setting. We stayed in the French Creole Cabin, and it did not disappoint! The cabin and its surroundings are simply beautiful, and from the outset our hosts were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect stay. Although it's far away (we are based in England), we certainly hope to make it back there one day for an anniversary! :)

This place is truly magical. If you're looking to unplug from the stress of daily life or just want a romantic getaway, this is the spot to be at. Added bonus of getting to nerd out a bit if you stay at the Hollow. It went beyond expectations. The love and details put into all of it was amazing. Ed and Nancy have made a small bit of heaven here and we hope to come back again very soon.
