What a wonderful trip my husband and I had with Roaming Camels. We had an incredibly personalised experience with our driver - lovely Abdul taking us around beautiful Morocco. His passion for his country was infectious and we learnt so much from him. The itinerary was perfect and Abdul was always accomodating with our requests - nothing was a trouble. We felt so well looked after and special. The places we stayed were beautiful and the local experiences (away from the big tour groups) made it all the more special. Every place visited, we had a private guide and the special things like meals at local family homes were a highlight. The pre-trip preparation from Cathi was excellent and Mustapha continually checked in on us whilst we were on the trip. If you want a very special way to see Morocco in a personalised way, I totally recommend Roaming Camels for the premium boutique experience. I traveled with a friend, and we went through several cities in Morocco (including the desert) and had a truly wonderful experience. The support was excellent. I’d like to highlight the local guides (very attentive, knowledgeable, and speaking great Portuguese), but especially our driver throughout the whole trip, Abdul. He was helpful, caring, responsible, very knowledgeable, with impeccable English, and often stepped in as a guide himself. I highly recommend it!!!

Magnificent desert camel tour
We had an amazing 3 day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech , with Roaming Camels that surpassed our expectations. Every detail of our trip was expertly planned and having a private driver and guide was fantastic.Highlights of our trip included the Atlas Mountains, Berber villages, Dades Gorge, Roses Valley and of course our camel trek in the desert for sunset and then overnight in our luxury desert camp. We returned the next morning on our friendly well cared for camels after the magnificent desert sunrise. A magical experience.Our driver and guide Abdul was exceptional. . He was professional, charismatic and very knowledgeable. He quickly learned what we wanted to see and do and made it happen. His knowledge of the region , history , and agriculture was impressive. He knew we liked to hike so he made sure we had opportunities for longer that usual walks. Abdul was very sensitive to our needs and made sure we were well looked after. Every detail of our trip was taken care of and we didn’t have to concern ourselves about anything except enjoying and photographing the scenery and listening to his interesting commentary.We feel Abdul went above and beyond and we also enjoyed his sense of humour and friendly manner. We thoroughly enjoyed traveling in Morocco with this Roaming Camels! From the moment we were collected at the ferry terminal by our guide Nour, everything ran smoothly. Nour was calm, knowledgeable, and wonderfully friendly, so we immediately felt at ease.Itinerary planning was easy, we shared the length of stay and some places of interest we were keen on and the company had the rest sorted. They arranged an incredible itinerary. Some of the absolute highlights were viewing the gorgeous blue city of Chefchaouen, the culture and winding streets of Fes, and the unforgettable Sahara Desert.Booking the tour was very easy, and communication before and during the tour was prompt, professional, and reassuring. Everything was planned with detail, and we always felt looked after during the journey.I would strongly recommend this tour company to all types of travelers, ranging from solo travelers, couples, families, and groups. They specialize for women travelers and other groups.

We took a 14-day tour of Morocco with Roaming Camels from the end of March to mid-April and are really excited about this country! This is certainly due in large part to the excellent planning, organisation and execution of our trip on the part of Roaming Camels. We can therefore only recommend this organizer!Without wanting to repeat everything again: We wholeheartedly agree with the other good reviews here. If you want a well-planned tour that also caters to individual wishes, if you want to dive deep into the culture and diverse landscapes of this great country without sacrificing comfort and safety, then you should choose roaming camels. The fact that Roaming Camels is a local operator with a precise knowledge of country and people is an unbeatable advantage over the major tour operators. Direct communication with Mustapha in advance as well as during the trip was always straightforward, timely, helpful and super friendly. We felt in good hands all the time, and no question remained unanswered. The selected hotels were (except for one annoying exception) all very, very good and impressed with a variety of architectural styles - from the modern hotel to various riads to the desert camp and an old kasbah everything was there. The cities and sights we visited left nothing to be desired and left us with the feeling that we had already gotten to know the country quite well despite the relatively short time. The consistently very knowledgeable local guides have greatly contributed to an in-depth understanding.A special mention is due to our driver Samir, who not only steered us safely and confidently through the chaotic city traffic and over the sometimes highly adventurous country roads, but was always (really always!) there for us and stood by us with practical tips, excellent local knowledge, interesting background information as well as plenty of water and delicious snacks. With his (impressively self-taught) good command of English, his reliability and his friendly, calm nature, he was the most pleasant travel companion you could wish for, and we are delighted that we were able to travel with him!Overall, we can only recommend Roaming Camels Morocco and wish everyone there all the best and good luck!
