I called RMT this morning regarding the repair of our right side refrigerator light switch. The gentleman I spoke to listened to my description and said he could help, but that he wouldn't be able to place an order until Monday for the part. I asked him what he would charge to do the work and he said normally the diagnostic would be $85, but since he had done that over the phone, he would waive it. I asked whether there would be any way to get help sooner and he said, "If you want to help yourself, this is what you need to do." He told me where to search for the part online and the steps to take to replace it. I followed his instructions and was able to order the part for overnight delivery. He assured me that if we could not handle it on our own, that he would take care of the repair for us.
I recently hired another repair company in the area with outstanding reviews, but did not receive outstanding service. The focus of that company seemed to be on making money. I paid for a part through that company before leaving on a weeklong trip, and when I returned, I called to schedule the repair. They told me they hadn't ordered the part. They said that they received so many payments that I should've contacted them after sending the money to let them know what it was for. When I checked the Zelle receipt connected to the payment I made for the part, it included our home/service address and the appliance to be serviced.
RMT, hands down, is our new "go to" for appliance repair. I am grateful to God for the honesty, care, and unselfish help. God bless you, RMT!!!
Update:
Part arrived this morning. I installed it in less than 10 minutes (I’m the woman of the house:) Based on quote from another provider, we saved about $180. Again, RMT will be our “ go to” for appliance repair!!!
Update - October 2025
RMT came to our home to check out our freezer. Mr Ron diagnosed the problem and provided next steps. I also asked him to evaluate a problem with our dishwasher and our dryer. He did both and insisted on charging less than the normal rate for the estimates because were existing customers. But that’s not all!! Mr Ron checked out an armoire at my request …it had a door that wasn’t opening properly. Not only did he find the problem…HE FIXED IT in less than 10 minutes for FREE!!!!! The last estimate I got for the repair was about $300.
RMT is the organization you want to work with. Don’t hesitate.
