He looks at a project looking for the best possible outcome but also has an eye on protecting costs from spiralling which is so refreshing.
For example I had a couple of ideas and he was crystal clear in terms of where option A would be extremely expensive whilst option B would be more reasonable.

Richard replied promptly to my expression of interest. Quickly attended a home visit to inspect and advise on the project. Following agreement on the costs of the initial planning permission work, Richard quickly completed and submitted the required information to the local authority.
Following the planning permission being granted, Richard's follow up work, liaison with a building control company and the final build drawings were quickly provided.
Overall, a very expedient, professional service was provided and, in my opinion, at a reasonable cost.

Richard designed 2 extensions including a floorplan remodel for us. He listened carefully to the brief and his attention to detail was spot on. The plans were well drawn and sailed through planning application. The builders had no problems following them and converting them into a great build. We had no issues whatsoever and would highly recommend RJB Architect Ltd.
We instructed Richard on our garage conversion & rear extension. He was friendly, professional and very helpful. His drawings were far more detailed and dealt with matters that would need to be addressed for both planning & building regs.

A very knowledgeable and helpful architect but above all this he is a nice person who is easy to deal with and responds in a timely manner. Having talked with builders in the area they all recommend him as they find huis drawings to be excellent and he is easy to deal with. I am yet to hear a negative comment on his work. I would happily recommend him to anyone looking for an architect.
