This course taught me about the basics of neuroscience and helped me gain a better understanding of the brain. The material covered in each lesson was not overly complex, but still detailed enough to help me in write my article. The pace of the class was decently fast, but the writing process was split into small assignments, which were manageable weekly tasks. Overall, this course made me feel more confident in my research abilities, and I learned a lot.

Rising Researches was a wonderful experience for me. I got to write a neuroscientific review article on a topic I was interested in, and the class provided a lot of information on basic neuroscience topics so I was able to learn a lot of information from that as well. My teacher, Ms. Shvetali Thatte, was also very clear in her teaching and she gave a lot of helpful feedback to ensure my paper was as good as it could be. Although the class is a bit fast paced, she went into good detail and it was understandable as well as interesting.

Loren and Shvetali are great teachers. They helped me through every step on my research paper. Anytime I needed help on my paper they were available. I also really appreciate their flexibility. There are times when I would need to skip a class because of traveling and they were very understanding. Most of all I learned so much. I would always finish class and talk to my parents about everything I learned from class and my paper. I truly enjoyed the wonderful opportunity.

I did a Rising Researchers bioinformatics class in summer 2025 and had a great experience. My instructor was very helpful and also knowledgeable about bioinformatics. It not only taught me how to research with bioinformatics tools but also presentational skills to present that research. I had a lot of fun!
