Updated gem. I confess some bias. My GS has just started work there. I mention this for clarity but also he reports they are great employers. Big hi on entry even before mentioning the GS link. The food is old school but better. The new layout is a big lift. Coffee excellent. Blue grenadier grilled. Large portion perfectly done. I had battered prawns and scallops. Screaming fresh. Big prawns. Big scallops roe on. Very, very good hand dipped batter. Hand cut chips. Clean oil. Sharp eye. Bloody good.

I'm not sure where you normally buy you take away from maybe the 1980s but our prices are very reasonable for the quality of food that
we pride ourselves on in addition to that all prices are disclosed prior to ordering so not sure why your choosing to run down a locally family owned business

I really don't want to do this. But today I went for a piece of flake, looked awesome but when I took a bite it was rubber. Didn't smell to good either. Usually you guys are really good. Maybe you just wanted to get rid of the old fish. Really disappointed.

Hi Jerome thanks for your feedback the fish was fresh we don’t keep or use old fish 🐠 it would have been more appropriate for you to come in or call and let us know I would have been more than happy to refund your money you’re obviously a regular customer and know how consistent our quality is so I’m mortified that you’ve had this experience today I can only apologize and would be happy to refund your money and I will definitely let our supplier know about your feedback

Absolutely delicious fish and scallops. The batter was light and crispy the piece of fish was large and cooked perfectly. The coffee was one of the best I have ever had! We also had a cinnamon scroll omg it was amazing. We will definitely be going back. Super friendly helpful staff.

Incredible old school style burgers that are so hard to find anywhere else, the chips are thick cut and not at all greasy and the fish was delicious. All the prices are extremely reasonable too. Definitely worth a visit!

Hi Alice thanks for your feedback as a take away venue we do not have to provide tap water and glasses as bottled water is available for purchase and there is also an accessible water fountain ⛲️ where personal water bottles can be filled . The only restaurants that have to provide water and glasses are those with liquor licenses

You can really see how much the owners care about their business and we truly enjoy our food every single time. Highly recommend!
