I wholeheartedly recommend Ridgeside K9! Our Belgian Malinois, Sixx, underwent training here, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From day one, the process was nothing short of exceptional.
The pricing was very reasonable for the high-quality training and care that Sixx received. What truly stood out was the hands-on approach from Mike and Suzi, the owners. They are not just trainers; they genuinely care about every dog that walks through their doors.
Throughout Sixx’s training, we received consistent progress reports, which kept us informed and engaged in her journey. It was wonderful to see how much attention they paid to each step of her development, celebrating her achievements along the way.
Thanks to Ridgeside K9, Sixx returned home transformed: more obedient, confident, and well-adjusted. We couldn’t be happier with the results! If you're searching for a dedicated and effective training program for your dog, Ridgeside K9 is the absolute best choice!
If you need your dog trained or boarding, this is the place to go. Very clean, organized facility, with the best customer service, and the staff always treats my pups like they are their own. My pups love to go here for boarding, they get so excited the minute I pull into the facility. That alone tells me how great the staff is with my pups. Both of my dogs have gone through the training here and they exceed my expectations. I’m always getting compliments on how well behaved and trained my dogs are. Thank you so much for always taking such great care of my pups, they can’t wait to come back soon for boarding.
Eris loves the staff at Ridgeside K9. They always do a fantastic job on her. She get so excited to get her grom there.
We cannot say enough good things about this place! We are absolutely obsessed with Ridgeside k9!!! Our dog has been going to doggy daycare here just about every weekday for about 2 years now, has had grooming here multiple times, and has also participated in their 6 week board and train services as well as standard overnight boarding many times. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and does such an amazing job not only at training our dog but also educating my husband and I on how to better care for and train our dog. Our dog constantly looks forward to coming here and is always pawing at the car door when we get close to the building. Our dog gets so much stimulation and play time here during daycare and boarding whether it be playing with other dogs or running on the treadmill (his favorite activity). The owners and staff take such good care of our dog and you can tell they truly love and care about him. We love seeing update photos when we're out of town or when he's participated in water day. Our dog is so much better behaved after attending training here and we appreciate this place so much more than we can describe!
Great experience with Ridgeside K9! Mike taught a group class, and was very knowledgeable and helpful. Mike evaluated and assisted in all forms while giving a great presentation when relaying information to the handlers. I highly recommend Ridgeside K9 for all levels of experience for pet owners and K9 handlers.
Absolutely five stars — and more if I could give them! The training transformed our dog and gave us so much confidence as pet parents. The team is incredibly caring, attentive, and truly invested in every dog they work with.
We trust them completely for boarding, which says everything. Our dog is excited to go and comes home happy and relaxed. The grooming services are top-notch as well — they consistently do a beautiful job.
This is a business that genuinely cares, and it shows in everything they do. Highly, highly recommend!
In response to them saying they gave me my money back. Yes they gave me my money back except $500 but I got nothing and they kept my dog for 26 days. I missed her plus this made her more insecure. My dog has been sick for 2 months with canine influenza and kennel cough. They are very aware that they are still treating dogs that were in the facility when my dog was in there my neighbor's dogs was in there. Her dogs caught it along with a litter of puppies. They would have been blind not to see my dog had the pink eye. Do not trust these people they lie. They keep their dogs in the cage and in training they will keep the dogs pinned up against the wall. I know of 3 different families that have been to this place in the last 3 months. She has turned ALL OF US against training. After 4 weeks my dog knew nothing but sickness, So did my friends dog. They wouldn't clean my dog's eyes, Yorkie. I have recordings of trainer saying she needed to do better. I offered to pay for Extra bath or whatever they needed she never got one bath in 4 weeks. They RAN OUT of her dog food and then call me that evening and tell me. Yes they bought my dog one bag of dog food cause she ran out COMPLETELY. As far as Andy the other company trainer that had my dog, he worked for these people. They help him get his business license. I've never left a review in my life. As far as the opposite name, I don't know what they're talking about there. I have no reason to sign my name in a different way when I paid CASH! It's all family owned all family protected with each other. Be prepared for your dog to have kennel cough, canine influenza. Look for your dog to run out of dog food and to be in the cage all the time. Look out for pink eye. As far as when I put the review up February 10, no connection with them since November. Why lie and say anything but truth. I have close to $3,500 in Vet and Hospital bills.

We stand by the care and training provided during your dog’s stay.
As previously stated, your payment was refunded in full minus the clearly outlined **non-refundable deposit** in your signed agreement. Merriam-Webster defines *nonrefundable* as “not subject to refunding or being refunded.” The deposit reserves a training space and secures scheduling, and it is retained regardless of completion or cancellation. This policy was acknowledged at enrollment. While a significant portion of your payment was made in cash, the refund was intentionally issued by check to ensure proper documentation and financial record of the transaction.
Given the continued concerns raised during the program and the nature of our communications, we made the decision to end the training early and return your dog. A refund was processed at that time. This was done to bring the matter to a close in a timely and professional manner.
There was not a single day your dog went without food. When a dog’s supply runs low, we confirm with the owner if they prefer to bring it in or if they would like us to purchase more. In this case, we purchased a bag to ensure continuity.
Your dog was not kept “in a cage all the time,” and we do not use the methods described in this review. Our training dogs follow a structured daily rotation that includes individualized sessions, rest periods, outdoor time, enrichment, and daily treadmill exercise appropriate for the dog. During her stay, you received numerous photos of your dog being carried by staff members and playing with toys in a designated play area, which were acknowledged positively at the time.
We have photos and video taken immediately prior to pickup on November 25 showing no visible eye concerns. The image referenced in this review is time-stamped November 27, two days after your dog returned home.
At no point during her stay was your dog diagnosed with canine influenza. When mild respiratory symptoms are observed in the facility, we consult our veterinarian and follow appropriate guidance. As disclosed in our agreement, exposure to contagious illness is a known risk in any boarding or training environment.
Your original review was posted under the name “Carol Jones,” the same name provided to the original trainer and originally shown on one of the submitted images. That review was later deleted and replaced with this one. We have retained screenshots documenting the use of that name in both the original review and photo submissions. Unfortunately, we are not able to attach photos or documentation in our reply as customers are able to do, but we maintain detailed records including photos, videos, recorded phone calls, and text message communications.
We understand that illness in a pet is upsetting. However, the claims being made are not supported by the documented care and timeline of events.
We wish you and your dog the best moving forward.

Awesome place to board your animal. Mike is a professional thats very confident and knowledgeable in his trade. They even worked with me on picking my dog up when they were closed due to unforseen circumstances. Very easy to communicate with and very legit outfit. Would highly recommend taking your pets to these guys!
Yesterday was the first time that my Storme and I went to Ridgeside K9. She was groomed by Flora and I must say that she did a fabulous job. I have taken Storme to several different groomers and all I ask is that they make my fur baby look like a cocker spaniel and yesterday she nailed. Störmè looks beautiful and smells just like she stepped out of the dryer. I recommend that everyone take their fur babies to Ridgeside K9. If I could give them 10 stars I would.
Team did a great job with my Frenchies. Lucy has anxiety, and Louie has started to get aggravated with groomers again and tries to nip but when I took them here, they did such an amazing job and both of them were on their best behavior! Thank you for drummeling their nails. I will be back for sure!
I couldn't recommend this training facility enough. Erica worked with my 3 year old Belgian Malinois that I pulled out of a shelter three months prior to his training. He had behavioral issues such as being dog reactive, lunging, resource guarding, snapping at people when corrected, etc. Since he's been home, we have established a routine and he listens to commands without an issue. Erica gave us a foundational piece that we were missing and can now build on. She was awesome, kept in contact with me, and very clearly loved my dog so much he didn't even care to see me at pick up (lol). Our biggest win since him being home is that I was able to recall him off of my free range chickens without even having to correct him with the e-collar. So proud of him, and thank you Erica for all your hard work and love to my Dude!
Ridgeside K-9 Grooming is absolutely amazing! The care, patience, and attention to detail truly sets them apart. My pup is always excited to go and never fails to come home happy, relaxed, and looking fantastic. It’s so clear that their staff genuinely loves what they do and treat every dog like family. Highly recommend Ridgeside K-9 Grooming to anyone looking for top-notch care! 🐾✨
