We found Richter Roofing after searching for roofing contractors in Portsmouth, OH. We were looking for an estimate for a roof replacement on our mom's house, and they did a fantastic job. He worked hard to find us options within our limited budget. He was very honest and reasonable. He also knew we were in a hurry and was able to get us in the week after evaluating the roof. His crew showed up on time, they did exactly what they were supposed to do, went above and beyond in a couple areas, and finished the job in 3 days. They also cleaned up nicely when they were done.
We've hired several contractors in the area and this is the only one we never had issues with. We will definitely call him again when when we need roofing work.

It is wonderful to finally find a reliable, professional roofing company in West Union Ohio, Adams County Oh, that can do chimney repair. Marcus at Richter Roofing is that person and company. He returned my call promptly and came out to our log home to find out what was causing the stone chimney to begin leaking on the interior face. He was able to find issues with the chimney crown having cracks in the mortar around the stone also issues in a repair a chimney sweep company did when sealing off two of the three flues that were no longer in use. He also inspected the flashing around the chimney and found no issues. While doing his inspection he found some gaps in the chinking of the logs to the stonework. Chinking is the fancy term used for the calking of a log home. Marcus recommended that the crown be replaced and that the existing flue be extended because the current flue was flush with the current crown and not to code. He also recommended the stone be pressure washed and sealed seeing that our home is 30 years old along with re-chinking.
A very detailed estimate was provided to include detailed information on the quality of materials to be used and equipment needed to do the job safely. After accepting the proposal Marcus provided a detailed timeline to do the work and came out and placed a tarp over the chimney in case it rained before his work began, which was very thoughtful. Based on quality, workmanship, professionalism and reliability I highly recommend for chimney repairs and if I ever have any roofing issues I highly recommend them as well. Richter Roofing will be the first company I call.

I was moving to Scioto county and I needed a roof replacment as soon as I closed on my house. I received a quote from another company but I didn't feel they were a good fit. I found Markus by googling "roofing contractor West Portsmouth Ohio".

Markus came out to my property in West Union Ohio and gave me an honest consultation on my roof. I thought because I had a leak that I needed a full roof replacement prior to selling house but to my surprise Markus recommended a roof repair. Instead of selling me an entire roof he advised my shingles were in great condition but I had a flashing issues around a pipe and chimney.
