Everett came to replace our spa cover and was extremely polite and professional. The weather was very hot and therefore the job was difficult because the cover was full of water and very heavy. He worked hard and even problem solved with us on another issue. We would highly recommend Richard’s to anyone looking for a backyard spa. Their support team is excellent. Justin just left my house and I am beyond impressed. He answered all my questions and helped us get our pool back together. He was patient and kind. Kristen, who has helped us schedule all of our services, has been incredible too. She’s attentive, patient and has excellent customer service. Very upset with our pool experience. Lots of delays. Misinformation including outright inaccurate information provided by multiple people within the company. No one wanting to take responsibility. I've asked for supervisor or owner to call to discuss further but apparently I have to log into builder trend for that request. I've asked for clarifying information multiple times and haven't gotten it. Highly disappointing. Update: our experience is going from bad to worse with continued mistakes and poor communication

If you’re looking to build your own pool, RTBS is definitely the way to go. Easy, hassle free and punctual. Dig day was 4.23.24 and we swam for the first time 6.12.24. Bray was our PM and he along with Jonathan, Joi and Stacy, prepared us for any and everything to expect. Great communication and again, very punctual. Bray is a man of his word and delivered time and time again. We love our new pool and would definitely recommend Richard’s Total Backyard Solutions! 5ive Stars!!!!

We needed to have some service work done and both Kristen Barrow and Paula Nezat took the time to walk us through our itemized bill and our warranty. They were very patient and courteous explaining things, and we were able to get us on their schedule right away.

From start to finish the team at Richards provided exceptional service. Our salesman Jonathan was knowledgeable, and he ensured we were able to get the most value out of our experience. Our project manager Jacob was very responsive to our needs. The pool was completed ahead of schedule, and the construction crews were very good. Any issues that came up along the way (including a hurricane) were handled masterfully. We could not be happier with this experience.

DO NOT believe anything RTBS verbally tells you because they lie. Get everything they verbally tell you in writing. Protect yourself. There are pool companies with integrity. RTBS is not in that category. We signed our contract on April 9, 2024. After 78 days of waiting for something to happen we cancelled the contract on June 25, 2024. It was the best decision we made even though the Owner J R refused to refund our $2000 deposit. I guess J R needs the money. Rumor has it he does not pay his sub contractors on time. Designer Kristi P lied about the cost of rerouting our electric which is not included in the pool contract. RTBS sends out an electrician and the homeowner pays the electrician direct. Kristi P said it would cost about $2000. We have since found out it cost around $6000. Construction Manager Joi P lied about The City of Rosenberg taking 5 to 6 weeks to approve the permits. From that point on until we cancelled the contract that was RTBS excuse why nothing was happening. The City of Rosenberg was not the holdup. John A in permit department was evidently not submitting what the City of Rosenberg wanted to see. We signed the contract on April 9, 2024. The permit was not filed until May 25, 2024. As of June 25, 2024 the permit was still pending waiting on RTBS to resubmit it to The City of Rosenberg. Kristi P told us anything messed up on the neighbors yard would be fixed by RTBS. Upon receiving the form for the neighbor to sign it stated RTBS would not be responsible. Joi P told Lie #4 that RTBS was ready to go and just waiting on The City of Rosenberg. We were also told that by J R the day after we cancelled our contract. Kristi P was no longer at RTBS and when something came up about the pump for the waterfall Joi P said it was not included and why didn’t we call Kristi P about it. She no longer worked at RTBS so why would we call Kristi P. If you do not want to be stressed out and lied to if you decide to put in a pool do not choose RTBS to be your pool builder.

It has been a pleasure working with Kristen Barrow. Every time I speak with her she is helpful, pleasant and friendly. She has been knowledgeable and gone the extra mile to help! I look forward to working with her in the future!

Stephan was our service person and he was excellent. He arrived on time and was very professional in demeanor.
