Great spot close to Colorado Springs. I didn’t know anything about Manitou Springs. I chose the spot largely because my kids play the piano and I wanted them to be able to play for me on a baby grand. Our trip started on a Friday night in OKC, then the next day, Sioux Falls, SD, and then onto Rapid City, SD for two days. We only spent two days at this place, but it was a nice place to rest before coming home today.
The piano and absolutely beautiful location were major perks of our stay. Carolyn did a wonderful job of ensuring that the house was fully stocked (toilet paper, kitchen appliances, towels, linens, spices, nonstick spray…even a waffle maker)! The Heizer trailhead and local community park were walkable (less than 5 minutes), and the proximity to Cascade Creek made this location almost perfect. Wines of Colorado being within walking distance was another lovely part of this stay. Highly recommend!
We loved this Airbnb! We have family in Colorado Springs, so have been visiting for my whole life and I think staying around Cascade is my favorite as you are close enough to do all the things with the kids and far enough out of the city to relax and enjoy the scenery. This bnb was so clean, and filled with charm. Perfect for our small family. The beds were comfortable and check in/out a breeze. We’ve already bookmarked this spot for future stays.
Hands down the best AirBnb I've stayed in. The host has added so many unique, special touches that contribute to its incredible charm, including the blue piano, the turntable and extensive vinyl collection, artwork, cool lamps and other decor, books, bathroom amenities/toiletries, Kitchen supplies including coffee bar, plentiful bottled water and ice and so many other special touches too numerous to list. The hottub was a real treat after a rigorous hike up the Manitou Incline! We loved being close to the beautiful little village of Manitou Springs. The host, Carolyn, was very friendly and wonderfully responsive to questions. I would highly recommend this place and hope to return.
The place was gorgeous, all very nice. Hot tub was hot and clean!Just one major qualm: I wrote the host more than a month in advance: “A friend and I are meeting for a music weekend, so the piano is a big draw…. I trust it’s kept in good tune? If it’s been a while and needs a tuning, please let me know.” I got no response about the tuning of the piano and assumed the best. We arrived to find the piano horribly out of tune. Not quite unplayable, fortunately, but far below the level that we’d expect from a listing that focused so much on the piano. This was disappointing.
Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to come back again. This place is so cute and quaint. We loved the hot tub and fireplace in the evening! The master bed was super comfortable. Easy access to the main road to visit nearby Manitou Springs or Woodland Park. Thanks for a great stay!
We took a long weekend off in January for some downtime after the busy season at work. The house was cozy and comfortable. Carrie stocked just about anything you might need or forgot. We bought groceries and cooked each meal as the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and the decor was fun. We loved sitting in front of the fire and working on a puzzle. It was easy to get into Manitou Springs where there was a wonderful spa, cute shops, and yummy food.
